Saw a red fox in the front yard garden yesterday! Hopefully I see it again, since I've never gotten a photo of a wild fox before.

I saw many hummingbirds and butterflies in Quito, Ecuador. I also went to the Galapagos and saw penguins, blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, flightless cormorants, iguanas, sea lions, sharks, lava gulls, and many cute lava lizards uwu

I have two!
once when I was camping, a baby fox was biting my head through the very thin fly of the tent.
another time a koala walked into my garden (I live in a very suburban area but theres a small nature patch a few blocks away) he must have walked all the way from there to my garden!

When I was on holiday there was an injured blue-footed booby (cute bird, love their blue feet) in the sea which me and my dad spotted when swimming. We went over towards it to see what was wrong and it kinda launched itself at my dad trying to attack him

We managed to get it some help tho!
Just thought this was a cool animals sighting not necessarily cause of the animal even tho it is adorable, was quite funny and very happy we managed to save it

There was a juvenile speckled king snake in my backyard two months ago, I was able to hold it carefully. ALSO in my backyard I've seen a grass-like mantis (literal name)! They're small and brown and very interesting.
I think the most exciting thing this year though is that sometime in early June before the weather turned really hot in Houston, I was able to see fireflies at dusk, which was so like.. crazy to me because they're not that common a sight where I live.
It's a long way forward, so trust in me.
