Anwyll stretched and licked a paw daintily as he blinked the sleep out of his eyes. Slowly allowing his eyes to adjust to the dim light of the cave chamber, the mute white tom began to make his trek over to where his daughter, Bracketcloud, slept. It was a short distance from his nest, sure, but he made sure not to make any noise, lest he wake up any warriors who had returned from the dawn patrol earlier that day. He blinked in surprise as he did not see the familiar chocolate pelt of his daughter, but relaxed when he heard her purr from behind him. Turning around, Anwyll smiled and signed a warm morning greeting to his daughter with his tail. Bracketcloud nodded and replied with a purr, "Good morning to you too, Dad. Now... Carrotstar was speaking to a cat I didn't recognize just a few moments ago, when I came back from an early stroll by the beach." The white tom laughed silently in understanding as he signed, 'I suppose you want us to meet this new cat too, before the rest of the Clan gets to know, eh?' Bracketcloud nodded enthusiastically and mewed, "Absolutely!" Smiling again, Anwyll allowed his daughter to lead him out of the warriors' chamber, and into the main camp.

Both cats stood at the entrance to the vast cave chamber that was the main camp, blinking rapidly for a few moments to allow their eyes to adjust to the bright light streaming from the main and secondary exits, then looked around, eventually spotting the familiar ginger pelt of their leader, Carrotstar, as well as an unfamiliar chocolate-and-white pelt of an unknown cat. The two SeaClan warriors rushed toward the two, curiosity blazing through both their minds.

Anwyll, Bracketcloud, Carrotstar, Phoenix
Carrotstar nodded at the chocolate point tom, meowing, "Absolutely, Phoenix. StarClan guided you here for a reason - we are a proud Clan of wild cats who take care of each other as if all of us are familiy. You ran away from your Twolegs in search of a better life in the wild. You did the right thing to listen to the 'voices in the stars', as you called them." Phoenix nodded thoughtfully and opened his mouth to reply, only to close them again; he scotted to one side of Carrotstar shyly as Anwyll and Bracketcloud came into view.

Father and daughter dipped their heads in greeting to both their leader and the newcomer before the former signed, smiling pleasantly, 'Greetings, friend. Carrotstar. How is the prey running this morning?' His daughter quickly translated for him; Carrotstar mewed, "Swimmingly, my friend, swimmingly." Turning toward Phoenix, the leader of SeaClan meowed, indicating toward the two warriors, "These are two of the many cats who call this Clan home. Anwyll is the white tom, and Bracketcloud is the chocolate calico she-cat - they are father and daughter." Phoenix dipped his head and replied, "It is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Anwyll and Bracketcloud. I am called Phoenix, and I came across this Clan of yours while following the voices in the stars." "Pleased to meet you," Bracketcloud smiled, "my father and I were about to go on an early morning stroll - would you like to come with us, to see the territory?" Phoenix nodded vigorously, exclaiming, "Absolutely!" Turning to an amused-looking Carrotstar, the chocolate point tom asked, "...May I, Carrotstar?" The ginger-furred leader of SeaClan nodded and mewed, "Go ahead, but do be careful of the Sea Path, you three."

I think the post number was 5, hopefully I’m correct <3 Also I felt a bubble of happiness when you gave me the deaf apprentice, I’m excited to work with him. Please for the love of everything that is good, keep him alive for a little while. Also, as far as training goes, does it just take one post for them to learn a new skill? Or do they require points for a given category before they move up? For example if Cloudpaw earns a skill in tracking, does he complete tracking or does he get maybe one skill point out of five? Sorry if I confused you <3

As another moon rolled by, the most recent occurrence had been the discovery of a new clan near their south border. A patrol had spotted a dense forest with some eerie, thick fog spilling out of them. Basilthorn swore she saw movement among it, but they didn’t dare get close enough to find out. If there were cats, they didn’t know how friendly they were. Spottedsun and Almondmoon has decided not to pursue it at the present time, due to the dangers it could bring their growing clan. Aside from that, it seemed as though Shadedflame had taken a special liking to Blueheart. But his sweetness seemed to roll off of her fur like water, especially once she started catching on to his feelings. But Shadedflame wouldn’t give up, and he hoped that the situation would unfold in his favor with time.

As both patrols had set out, they each came back with a new clan member. Almondmoon’s patrol had spotted some dark fur just outside of their border, and they had caught the attention of the cat within seconds. He was very young, quite the youngest in the clan that she had found. He had bright, orange eyes, and he seemed a bit wary of them. Only when they had offered safety did he decided to follow them, considering his age and his size. He was considered smaller than average even for his age, and survival was his main focus. He had an air of mystery and strength surrounding him, and an energy that made him feel slightly unpredictable.

On the other side of the territory, Shadedflame had been marking the border when he caught a curious young face peering at him through the tall grass a small distance away. His fur was as white as the clouds, and therefore he was quite easy to spot. However when Shadedflame began to call out to the small tom, he didn’t receive an answer. Worried that the cat may have been injured, he rushed over to see what had happened. But at the sudden movement, the snowy cat bolted away fearfully. Shadedflame called for him to come back, but he no longer saw him. A bit sad that he had frightened the poor young tom, he started to lead his patrol back to camp. But as he headed in that direction, it didn’t take long to realize that the little tom was following them. When he turned around to speak to him, the young cat didn’t run. Instead, he tipped his head to the side curiously, moving his ears back in forth in vain to capture any sound. “I see.” Shadedflame uttered quietly. “He must not be able to hear.” This brought the older tom’s sensitivity to the surface and he knew that he couldn’t leave him behind. Guiding him gently with his tail, the patrol headed back to camp.

When the patrols had returned, they held a small feast to welcome the new clan members and Spottedsun gave a brief speech. “Our clan is growing so much faster than I could have ever imagined.” He said with pride. “I couldn’t ask for a better group of cats. Thank you all for giving me a chance, and for joining and upholding the beliefs of this clan. We’re learning day by day, and we are flourishing.” With that, they all ate some prey and shared some stories with one another. Basilthorn and Blueheart chatted with Ashenfern, and Cloudpaw, the new white apprentice, sat playing with his tail on his own in the middle of the clearing. Hawkfire sat and watched Cloudpaw with interest, seeming to want to join in the little game. Cloudpaw was to be mentored by Shadedflame, per his request. He felt a duty to the young cat. Shadedflame chatted quietly with Fluffy as Almondmoon and Spottedsun shared tongues. Astroclan was coming along very nicely.
