Cassia groaned when Kyra punched her, the girl's punch was surprisingly strong. Blood trickling from her nose, Cassia looked Kyra up and down. "So you want to kill me?" She laughed, and raised her eyebrows at the girl. "Well hit me with your best shot sweetheart- I've got all day." Although Kyra had proven that she was a more formidable foe than Cassia had intended, she still wasn't entirely confused by the district 6 girl.

"Tch, I never wanted to kill you until you attacked me." She spat, running back towards Cassia and attempting to pierce her side with her spear, swinging it towards her. "There's one thing I have that you never will, and that's actual decency for others!"

Cassia tried to dodge, but she wasn't fast enough, and the spear grazed her side. Stumbling, she fell against the ground and quickly got herself back up. "You're right. And that's why I'll win the hunger games, not you." Cassia knew she wouldn't survive the wound if she stayed here, but she couldn't let this girl get away. However she wouldn't let her pride get the better of her, so she swung one last hit at Kyra before turning away. "Good game." Cassia called over her shoulder. "We'll call it a draw. Next time I'll actually try." She laughed evilly as she strode away, although her wounds made it hard to keep her composure. She'd never show her that she hurt her. When she came upon Daniel, Cassia accidentally stumbled into his arms. Although she absolutely hated showing weakness, she was loosing blood rapidly.

Daniel was sitting at the campfire, waiting patiently for Cassia. When she finally arrived, he ran over to her, surprised that she stumbled into his arms. "Cassia? You look pretty beaten up! We gotta get you back and patch you up immediently." He was a bit bruised and bleeding, Kyra's knife still lodged in his side, but he definetly looked much better than Cassia. Helping to support her, he walked back to the Cornucopia, silent.

Kyra waited until Cassia left before letting out a cough, she didn't realize how weak she felt until this moment. Stumbling, she collapses onto the ground, catching her breath. "J-Joshie!" She rasped, her sides and shoulder were in bad shape. Trying to catch her breath, she hoped that he was ok, and hadn't ran into any more trouble or died...

Cassia quickly untangled herself from Daniel's arms. That moment of vulnerability, although brief, had disturbed her, so she wouldn't be vulnerable anymore. Slowly making her way back to their camp, Cassia groaned and collapsed against the Cornucopia. "Where are those damn healing supplies?" She grunted, fumbling around the supply pile. Finally, she found a first aid kit and opened it. Inside was a cloth, and Cassia used it to try and stop the bleeding. She glared at Daniel, as if challenging him to offer to help her. Of course it would only make the situation worse. The first aid kit also had a small jar of alcohol which Cassia then poured onto the rag, the last thing she needed was an infection. This made the wound hurt more than Cassia thought it would, and she bit back a scream of pain. That was for the weak. "I'm going to kill that girl from 6 if it's the last thing I do. Mark my words."

Joshua heard someone calling his name and he scrambled to his feet. "Kyra!" He gasped, racing towards her, trying his best to ignore the pain in his foot. "No! No! No!" He gasped when he saw her collapsed on the ground. "Kyra what happened? I'm so sorry... I shouldn't have run I should have stayed with you..." His voice cracked, what if she was dying? What if he was going to lose her? How could he finish the games without her?

He nodded in agreement, his face growing stern and serious. "She definetly threatens both of our chances of victory. We will get her killed, no doubt." Going over to another aid kit, he pulled out the knife that impaled his side and let out a groan of pain, before patching it up quickly. "...What happened when you guys fought? Did you at least get her in bad shape?"

She let out a sigh of relief seeing Joshua running towards her and standing in front of her, safe and sound. Kyra lifted her hand up and took his, then pulled him closer to her and hugged him tightly, her breathing still a little heavy. "We're ok, we're ok..." She whispered to him, her forehead pressed against his as she stared into his eyes. There was some sort of emotion in her eyes besides fear and relief, but what was it? It didn't take long for him to find out however, since she leaned in and kissed him.

Cassia studied Daniel's face. "Yeah, I landed a few blows. She's a determined little thing- that's for sure." She let out a sigh and pulled her hair back into a ponytail. "Last time I was convinced she would bleed out. Hopefully she doesn't this time. I want to kill her myself. Did you get the boy?" Cassia asked, even though she knew the answer. She hadn't heard a cannon shot. How did neither of them come away with a kill?

Daniel shook his head, disappointed in himself. "After Kyra stabbed me, I lost track of you guys. Tried to find him, but that sneaky little skunk must've hidden really well. So I waited by the campfire for you. I did eat the berries they picked though, they were rather tasty. He clenched the bloody knife from Kyra, scowling at it in distaste. "...Tch, I never thought we would lose to a tiny girl from D6. We'd better kill her before she starts taking the spotlight, and her stupid boyfriend too."

She couldn't help but smile brightly, despite being afraid and in some pain. When they finally stopped kissing, Kyra weakly leaned into his chest, full of exhaustion. Her side and shoulder were both bleeding badly, and she had a large bruise on her chin. "...Don't leave me, please..." She mumbled to him tiredly.

"We aren't going to loose to her!" Cassia snapped, curling her fingers around one of the daggers that was near the supply pile. "Or... we could take the spotlight back for ourselves." She murmured. Leaning closer, Cassia suddenly kissed Daniel, wrapping her arms around his neck and silently digging the knife in his back. She wasn't sorry. All he was doing was getting in her way.

Joshua held Kyra tightly, never wanting to let go. "I..I won't." He said quietly, before realizing how injured she was. "Oh my goodness, Kyra we need to get you fixed up.. stop the bleeding." He took one of the knives and cut off part of his shirt, applying it to the wounds in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

At first, Daniel was shocked, and it felt like everything was perfect, leaning into her kiss...Until he felt nothing but pain, groaning loudly and falling to the ground, his back bleeding rapidly, coughing.
