- The orange colored deputy rose from his sleep a bit later this morning after going on the final border patrol on the previous day. Everything had been fine on the border, as he expected, no sign of pending doom. What made him sleep in was the bit of extra time Sunstride made for his apprentice. He had been training Gatorpaw for two moons now, and Sunstride had enjoined every minute of it. The younger tom reminded Sunstride so much of himself. Sunstride had gone over the day's training with Gatorpaw, and ended in a friendly tussle. It wasn't until the two were fully worn out did Sunstide call it a day. The orange tabby had given Gatorpaw permission to sleep in if he wanted, but unfortunately, Sunstride didn't have that same luxury. He was still the deputy after all. Patrols to assign, and to make sure Ravenstar was keeping a clear head.
Sunstride let out a small huff as he lifted himself up from his nest. As he began to groom his pelt, he frowned slightly thinking about Ravenstar, or rather what she had said a few days ago. He had thought of her as a friend since he was a kit. He'd always trusted her, looked up to her. He had been so proud when she had became deputy, and honored when she asked him to serve as her's, but what was he to think of her claim of seeing Fadedstar? Maybe she had seen him in a dream, but to believe he had some word of "starclan". yeah right. If anything, Ravenstar had simply been missing their old leader. His death a moon ago had been hard on everyone. Ravenstar especially. Sheโd gone through the most change he thought. Having to become leader in Fadedstarโs place. Yes, that had to be it. The only believable thing about her "vision from the stars'' was that they brought bad news. Thankfully though, everything was shaping up for another great green-leaf on its way.
Once he got his pelt looking a bit more decent, Sunstride padded out of the den, head lifted high. Seeing Cloudsnook just outside of the den, Sunstride greeted him with a soft word of greeting and a smile as he passed. His eyes were the only thing that betrayed he was still feeling tired. Taking notice of a white pelt already up and lurking about, Sunstride smirked a bit at the apprentice with the odd set of eyes. The deputy made a note to get Yarrowpaw and his mentor, Missingvine on the dawn patrol. Passing by Snowshadow, Sunstride paused. The other tom looked like he was just waiting around for something to do. Sunstride would happily give him something. โGood morning Snowshadow!โ The deputyโs smile widened when he greeted the other tom. โWhy donโt you grab Missingvine and Yarrowpaw for the dawn patrol? Another cat to join you three would be a good idea... you can choose who youโd like to go with you.โ Sunstride finished off with a flick of his tail.
Good, that should take care of that. Getting a hunting patrol started soon wouldnโt be such a bad idea either. The deputyโs attention suddenly took notice of Ravenstar just outside of her den. Sunstride excused himself from Snowshadow before turning to his old friend. He wanted to speak with her. He wanted to make sure he was feeling better. After all, in his mind having dreams of thier previous dead leader, warning of some danger wasnโt a good sign in his mind. Maybe she had gotten a better night's sleep, without any nightmares.

- Loonpaw had been rolling over in her nest, going in and out of sleep as Yarrowpaw moved around, doing whatever it was in these early hours. Loonpaw had watched him sleepily for a few minutes in the moments before sunlight crept through. Loonpaw's gaze followed The white pelted tom out of the den, watching as he stepped on tails. Her ears flatted on her head as they cried in protest, but she smiled a little before closing her eyes once again. She let out a sigh as she seemed to melt deeper into her nest. She doubted she'd be able to get back to sleep, but she'd enjoy some what time she had left. Loonpaw's flickered open when she heard Tigerpaw grumble at Diamondpaw. Loonpaw shot the other female apprentice a questioning frown. "Could't stand someone getting a goodnigt's sleep?" Loonpaw asked lightheartedly as she stretched out in her nest. Loonpaw yawned as Tigerpaw and Violetpaw made their way out of the den. The den seemed to quiet down once again, sleep making quite the temping offer for the young molly.
