I'm retriving the moonshrooms

"Shrooms?" Bellona asked, a wrinkle of her nose indicating her displeasure. "Think I'll pass on this clearly thrilling endeavor and stay here, don't take too long lover," she told him with a flick to the underside of his chin with her tail. Nero made a noise of amusement, giving the black Lambie a gentle nudge before striding off into the woods in search of the so-called Singing Willows. Since could trees sing? Did they actually sing or was it more of a "the wind blows through at a specific angle and makes it seem like the trees sing kind of deal?"
Nero sighed, Grimm seemed ready to warn of the forests various landmarks and or dangers in the case of whatever a Singing Cuttlebeak was. He kind of hoped he could meet one if just so he could beat it off and return with the moonshrooms and an impressive story to impress Bellona with. Still, though, Nero didn't feel that dire of a need, it felt like more of a passing interest rather than truly necessary. So he pressed onward, wings idly extended outward so the feathers could lightly brush the trunks of the trees. He wasn't quite paying attention to the type of trees so when a slight vibration traveled up his feathers Nero jumped. It was then the blue Lambicorn realized he had come to the so-called Singing Willows, it took only a few moments for him to hear the voices. A wordless song filtered through the air, the haunting melody making his hackles stand on end. There was something eerily beautiful about the voices of the willows and Nero had to shake himself slightly in order to look for the caves that Grimm had mentioned would be nearby.
Once located Nero quickly made his way into the caves in search of the Moonshrooms. The soft glow of his wings provided just enough light for Nero to see by, allowing him to navigate the tunnels with a fair amount of ease. Moonshrooms, much like their namesake shone softly in the dark and Nero quickly gathered a few, putting them gently into the bag he carried. He made his way back through the tunnels, hooves clicking against the stone as he trotted back to the entrance. Soft flashing colours caused Nero to burst into a run, he had what he'd come for and was in no mood to mess with the Cuttlebeak. The song of the willows followed him as he raced, their voices much the same as when he'd first found them.
Nero skidded to a halt once he reached the jagged stones where Grimm waited, plonking the bag in front of the masked Lambicorn before returning to the waiting black lambicorn.

I'm retriving the flowers

Nero had been relaxing when Grimm had come to stand in front of him, the masked lambie towering over the blue male who huffed in displeasure at the berating he received upon expressing his annoyance at yet another task. Grimm's stature meant nothing to Nero and he simply glowered up at the massive figure.
"Alright alright I'll get you the damn flower" Nero snapped and rose from his place on the floor. Intent on heading into the forest once again to go and eventually throw himself at the massive tree Grimm had spoken of, Bellona had risen from her place by him and followed by air. Flying low enough so she could avoid the worst of the branches, he felt only the barest flicker of irritation that she was not bound by the same rules that kept him from flying. Though Grimm had not specified this time that flying was not allowed, Nero had simply assumed as much.
"I wasn't exactly listening when big and grumpy yelled about what you were supposed to do next, where exactly are we going?" Came the question as Bellona landed quietly and easily began keeping pace with Nero.
"To some valley beyond the woods" Nero murmured in reply, he received a noise of confirmation so the pair merely continued their journey in search of the valley. The trees gradually giving way to an opening that led down into the valley proper.
"Something tells me only you're supposed to go down into that valley, lover. I'll wait here for you to return" Bellona mumbled, idly rubbing her cheek against his before settling down on the forest floor. With a nod, Nero darted down into the valley, his paws and hooves surprisingly finding purchase on the grassy slope as he moved down into the valley itself. His hunt for the large tree and subsequently the Aurorae's Heart just now beginning properly. It took him some time to come upon the tree that towered over its leafy brethren and with a noise of annoyance he broke into a run slowly gathering speed. Until he rammed into the trunk at the maximum speed he could manage, he hit the trunk with force and stumbled backward. Mistaking the groan from the tree to be one of it beginning to collapse when it was merely the trunk parting to create an opening, bark, and wood parting to reveal a tunnel. One just big enough to admit him and only him, as made obvious when the opening closed behind him after he slipped inside.
Nero found the wooden tunnel to be warm and almost comforting with the soft glow of his wings lighting the way, paws and hooves both making soft echoes as they met the wood below them. Wood gave way to grass of a strange blue-grey colour that felt far softer than any other kind Nero had ever encountered. Blood red flowers with heart-shaped petals and a striking electric blue center seemed to turn his way if he turned his head. Nero felt them to be much more than mere flowers and paid the one he plucked utmost respect as he removed it from the others. A sigh seemed to ripple through the grass and flowers alike, causing Nero to back slowly out through the tunnel, whatever spirit or being made its home in or around the tree? Nero was not interested in tangling with it.
Nero felt returning in a timely manner with the flower would be better than wasting time trying to look at the scenery the glacial valley provided. The journey back up the slope seemed entirely more daunting than it going down, still, Nero simply steeled himself and began moving upward at a steady pace. He found Bellona waiting at the top, she moved to his side assisting him with the last few meters. Together they left the valley, with only Nero privy to the knowledge of the flower hidden in a box sitting in the top of his bag.
"Let's get back to tall and grouchy" Bellona whispered lightly into Nero's ear, grinning wickedly at his quiet laugh. It didn't take the pair a terribly long time to return to Grimm, where Nero promptly handed the box over after Bellona went and picked a spot for them to rest in.
"I got what you wanted" Nero growled and moved to Bellona's side where he flopped down for a well deserved rest.
