Rowanpaw's eyes widened with excitement. His first kitting as a medicine cat apprentice! He tried to hurry back to camp as fast as he could on his three good legs. It took a bit for him to make it back and put the ragwort safely in the medicine den but he was excited to learn. "Can I help Otterseed?" he asked his mentor.

Sorrelpaw nodded towards Bergatpaw and Bluepaw. "Alright." At that, her stomach grumbled with hunger and Sorrelpaw giggled in response. "Lets eat!"

Otterseed's eyes widened when he heard Lilyfern was kitting. Nodding to Nightcry to acknowledge he heard him, the tom flicked his tail at Rowanpaw to follow him. The medicine cat raced back to camp. Dropping off his herbs in his den, he motioned for Rowanpaw to do the same thing. "Yes, you may help. For now, get some moss and soak it, which you could just leave it outside for a little bit. She'll need to be kept hydrated." The tom told his apprentice. Otterseed grabbed some borage leaves and raspberry leaves, just in case and then rushed over to the nursery, shaking off as much water as he could before entering. "Every cat that is not a queen, OUT!" He shouted through a mouthful of herbs. "Has she had any borage?" Otterseed asked not only the queen in question, but the cats around him.

Turning away, she decided to head over to see if Icepaw was up. Looking into the apprentice den, she saw him. "Hey, Icepaw. No training today. Even if the rain stops, it'll be too soggy, our paws will sink," Littlecreek told her apprentice.

"You're fine, Ravenclaw, don't worry about," Cloudfern meowed, dismissing his tardiness. "And yes, we should get going. If there's anything out there, we need to know sooner rather than later," she replied. As they headed out of camp, she noticed Spiderpaw jumping in the puddles. "Spiderpaw!" she called. "Stop acting like a kit and start acting like an apprentice. We need to be serious here," Cloudfern meowed, tail swishing with annoyance.

Once his mentor, Ravenclaw, finally showed up, Spiderpaw bounded out of the shelter and back out into the rain, splashing around in puddles. Mid jump, he was scolded by Cloudfern. Head hanging and tail dropping, Spiderpaw padded back over to join the patrol. "Sorry, Cloudfern..." he apologized. As they headed out of camp though, he straightened up, ears twitching.

"Sure!" Bluepaw mewed in response. We just get something big, like a vole and share that between the three of us so we're not taking a lot of prey without hunting first. Then later today we can hunt like crazy." Bluepaw shared.

The queen, not hearing Otterseed's question as he ran in, impatiently waited for Nightcry to return. Of course, she would leave the nursery to talk to him, providing Otterseed and Rowanpaw with more room, but she was worried for her mate out in this weather. Why, she could't say.

As they dragged in the wet prey, the elder went back to ignoring the warriors, laying his tail down across his nose as he laid his head back down for another nap.

Deciding to get up and see what was happening at the nursery, trying to look over at the crowd forming. From what he could hear, someone was kitting. Maybe he should go tell the leader, so he turned away from the mess and padded up to her. "In case you couldn't hear, there seems to be a kitting going on. Considering you're the leader you should probably know." He told the molly.

She looked over to the nursery, her ears perking up as she tryed to figure out what was going on here 'Is someone kitting? that's great time' she thought herself even more nervous. The rain didn't seem to stop at very soon and the usually small stream near the camp was already flooding, not in dangerously, but still.

He got back to camp after finding the medicine cats to help the kitting queen, sighing he stopped when heard Otterseed telling anyone except the queens to get out. He popped his head into the den for his mate "Brooksplash, I will go to get shelter to the warrior's den, so you know" he told her with a smile "I will see you later when this is over" he meowed to her.

She watched the wet rainy camp floor, there was no dry spot anywhere, except the dens somewhat took the rain out. Her ears perking toward the voice coming closer to her "Hm? Yes, this sure is one heavy rain, I hope it stops sometime today" she meowed to the tom. She looked at the sparrow "At last the prey is still running" she meowed to him with a smile "actually I would love to share, I am not really ate anything yet" she told him.

As the rain was getting harder and harder the already wet pelted tom run to the warriors den, shaking his pelt little bit at the entrance so he could not get any water to anyones nests.

He carried the preys to the elder's den, making them near the entrance out of the elder's way, but still under the den floor out of the rain. As the preys were there he looked at Ashfeather "I am going to get some shelter now, my pelt felt like I am carrying a fox" he told the other warrior.

“ W e l l , I’m glad you’re in the mood to share,” Tigerspring replied, settling down and wrapping his tail around his tail. He liked Shadowrunner well enough - he felt like perhaps she needed an extra bit of friendliness, having been an outsider. Despite being raised in the Clan from kithood, he knew how it felt; he often missed his relationship with his sister. When he thought of it, though, he always felt a pang of anxiety - the day would come, he knew, when Goldenowl would discover Tigerspring was her uncle and not her father, that she was the daughter of a loner. Tigerspring gave his head a quick shake to clear the bad thoughts and the frown from his muzzle. He leaned down and stripped back feathers before taking a bit of the sparrow and chewing thoughtfully. “Seems eventful today,” he murmured, flicking his tail towards the nursery, where several cats - including Goldenowl, the curious thing - were gathered. “Wonder what’s going on.”

G o l d e n o w l was curious. The wide-eyed warrior trotted towards the nursery, the rain soaking her pelt hardly seeming to be a bother. She stood beside Cypressshade and gave the tom a friendly flick of her tail as she peered past the gathered cats and Mintstar into the nursery, cocking her head. Her ears were angled, and from the sound of it - a queen was kitting. That could be the only explanation for the angry hisses coming from the den, she assumed, and Goldenowl had to suppress a mrowr of laughter. Glad that’s not me, she thought. The tabby would be a queen one day, sure - but she doubted it would be anytime soon, especially with her feelings for Otterseed.
As Cypressshade was herded out of the nursery, Goldenowl eyed him with curiosity. "You seem awfully invested," the deep brown tabby commented, sitting down next to the tom, albeit uninvited. The amber-eyed queen had a habit of being annoying. "New kits are always exciting, huh? Six moons and we'll be wondering who their mentors will be. Life moves so quickly, I bet it will fly by."
