Stormheart opened his jaws as well trying to scent anything nearby. He couldn't pick up much beyond the musty scent of the forest and sighed. "You're right, there isn't much here, but if we keep moving further we're bound to find something." He continued moving, keeping one eye on his apprentice and the other on the surrounding woods. He still couldn't see or scent much and was about to call for them to try a different direction when his eye caught the thick, bushy tail of a squirrel in a nearby bush. He paused and, keeping his voice quiet, tapped Cherrypaw on the shoulder with his tail, "Here's your chance for a squirrel." He gave him an encouraging smile and crouched down, waiting for Cherrypaw to make his move.

Nightfrost took a moment to rack her brain and see if the name sounded familiar. "I think I remember either the elders or some of the older warriors mentioning the name when I was still an apprentice." She looked closer at the loner trying to see if their features looked at all familiar to any cat she had seen when she was younger. She looked back towards Mossflight "Maybe Brackenstar or Mallowtail would know?"

Wolfpaw felt a rush of relief as Brackenstar and the patrol showed up, with that many cats there was no way that the foxes would stick around much longer without risking their own lives. He glanced at Mapleheart, panting slightly, "Thanks." his eyes widened slightly as he caught Feathercloud dropping to the ground and the cub coming up behind Mapleheart. He didn't want to disobey his mentor, but he also didn't want her to get hurt. He only had two moons left before he was a warrior, and the least he could do was get her to safety. As Mapleheart turned to face the fox he hurriedly told him, "Feathercloud's hurt! I'm going to go around and pull her to safety." He turned and dove into the bushes and began to rush around towards where he saw his mentor fall against the tree. The number of cats should be enough of a distraction...he made it to the tree and, as quietly as possible, crept out and grabbed Feathercloud's scruff; beginning to drag her out of the fray, doing his best to ignore the pain in his shoulder and chest.
