Piperpaw let out a matching, fierce hiss and bolted forwards with perhaps a little too much vigorous courage. The apprentice raised her paw, all claws heartily unsheathed, and brought her foot down. She reared up boldly on her hind legs, coming up to almost the same height as she red fox. She aimed for the beast's sensitive muzzle, hoping to claws its eyes and nose so it would run away.

Toadpool shrugged at the deputy. He didn't see Cherryfang, maybe she was still sleeping or something? Then Hawkfire ran to the nursery and the tabby tom felt very awkward. Was Hawkfire not coming either? Should be being Piperpaw? He hasn't seen her come out of the nursery so maybe Hawkfire was talking to her? Knowing Piperpaw, she was probably breaking rules or slacking off. He looked towards Darkenedecho and attempted at conversation. "So Darkenedecho, where are we patrolling today? The northern border? I heard their have been foxes up there."

Falconpaw finally woke up and decided to head out to ask Restar for training. She wanted to learn some more moves and not get stuck at camp doing chores. She HATED chores. There was nothing to learn unless you count the elder's stories! And even those were greatly exaggerated or changed over time. She loved to learn, because it helped her be able to focus and feel useful. So Falconpaw trotted out and headed towards Redstar's den. She crept inside and peeked towards the tom's den. Oh! Redstar was asleep! She felt very embarrassed and attempted to creep out quickly. Starclan must be laughing at her because as she crept out the young cat tripped on a rock and landed on her face with an, "Oof!" Gah! Just her luck!

Piperpaw let out a rattling screech and stumbled back Her first instinct was to turn tail and run the other way, but that certainly wasn't brave. Piperpaw let out a steam-like hiss, her wounds stinging painfully. One of her eyes was swollen shut, and her leg was bleeding. Still, that wouldn't slow her down. The apprentice lunged once again at the fox, this time going for its unprotected chest.

He looked after the tom near the nursery, flicking his tail trying to be patient 'seriously, what is taking so long?' he thought himself sighing 'you had like the whole day left to speak with her, but you do it now' he keeps thinking, flicking his ears when he noticed that the tom started to make his way to them. He looked over at Toadpool "yes, we do patrol there mostly and we will take the whole territory now, as nobody is not being marking them before yesterday evening" he told him.

He flattered his ears when the fox decided to attack them, he didn't really have time to even see the red-furred animal, when he was being kicked out of his paws and almost fall to his side, which he barely missed. Being fall into the side could be a killing position for him to be "Piperpaw enough, we need to leave now...took one of the kits, we need to take them a safer place where we can fight the fox as well" he yowled to the younger cat. He took a bite of the fox right ear so it could stop attacking the apprentice anymore, he stuck its claws to its chest, and kind of hang around like some flag to the air, when the fox tried to get him away for it.

She then turned to Icefur "Good morning by the way Icefur" she meowed to her.

The fox yowled when Berryfang bit its ear then clawed its chest. It decided to bolt away from the cats not long after as it couldn't get what it wanted without the cats hurting him.

"YEAH! Run away!" Piperpaw hissed, her voice rich with triumph. Of course, she was still a little annoyed that Berryfang had been the one to REALLY scare it off. She let out a tiny huff, then shivered with worry. "Maplekit..? Dewkit? Are you guys ok?" The apprentice mewed, turning around quickly. Her vision was unfortunately obstructed, with blood seeping into her left eye.

Toadpool saw Hawkfire come over and he nodded slightly. It wasn't like they would be gone that long. Unless something went wrong, they should be back quickly. Though Darkenedecho had said they would be patrolling all of the border. There was lots of area to mark! Once Hawkfire had come over, Toadpool turned his head towards the entrance. He didn't talk too much, just focused on the job at hand. "Are we ready?" Cherryfang still wasn't coming. The warrior must be doing something else.

Oh great. Now she woke up her mentor. The young she-cat awkwardly dipped her head. "Sorry Redstar. I just came to ask about training, but we can go out later. I can clean out dens of something if you want me to." Wow, this was getting awkward. Falconpaw was quite embarrassed that she had woken up Redstar. The tom had probably been exhausted with all his leader duties and she had gone and disturbed him.
