Yuki saw Flitz and handed back her egg. She nodded and dropped her head again. She had to be out of sight for the next while until the army fully moved out. She closed her eyes and listened and felt for vibrations.

Flitz came back to the cave. "Hello again, Yuki." Flitz was nosing in a huge pile of soft snow. "I take it that you'll have to stay here a while?" Flitz tapped the cave wall gently, and it disentigrated into softer nesting snow. Where the wall had been, now were huge shelves and shelves of professionally sea-salt and ice preserved prey. "I and Yukila shall stay here for awhile too. Do you like the name? I chose it because I want my unhatched daughter to be a good dragon, like you." Flitz suddenly felt very young. Then again, she was only twelve years old, barely of age.

Embers started, awoken from her sleep. "Wha-" she broke off as she saw Flitz. "Flitz!" she exclaimed, but the dragon was already climbing into the sky. Embers shook her head puzzled. Whatever. She stood up, shaking the water from her scales. Now I shall find Queen Thorrissia. She pressed her claws to the ground and thought she could detect the vibrations of war.

Yuki shifted over horizontally to the otherside as the wall disintegrated. Yuki raised a brow (or widened her eye like o.O) at Flitz's words. "Yukila? Are you sure you want to name your unborn hatchling after me? I'm not too sure if I'm a GOOD dragon. You barely know me." At this Yuki laughed/snorted out loud, "Haha! I barely even know myself. I'm quite sure you're not going to raise your hatchling as a loner or a hermit..." A brief pause. "A good dragon? Hmm. How do you mean? There are many different definitions of good, curse the ambiguity of Common (language)."

Flitz grinned. "I simply trust you. I normally have pretty good judgement." Flitz settled the egg in a snow nest. "And I mean "good" as in trustworthy, moral, and a very good survivalist." Flitz thawed a hawk some, then started chewing it. "Yuki, the ones on the right are still live, if you feel like letting it go to catch it again." Flitz flicked a rock aside, and the cave mouth became small. "A simple precaution. Move the rock around and experiment, if you like."

Embers leapt into the air and scanned the landscape. Not far off, on the border between forath and kallick, she saw two armies gathered. The light of battle sprang into her eyes at her queen's call. Letting out a deafening roar, she streaked downward, putting all her forward motion into sending her victim flying over the ranks and landing in an ice puddle.

Flitz shifted the fluffy, soft, cool ice so that the whole cave was soft. Flitz lit a fireball, and carefully placed it so that the egg and snow wouldn't melt, but be slightly warm. Nomming away at her hawk, Flitz crunched the last few bones into dust and sprinkled it to harden the outer, supporting wall of her nest.

Yuki slowly nodded to Flitz and commented, "Interesting nesting place you have here." She looked at the frozen prey along the shelves and picked one that looked like an arctic hare. She unthawed it and watched it as it shook its frozen muscles and stared right back at her. Black beady eyes widened in fear and swiftly turned around and hopped away towards the entrance of the cave. She dug her claws in, winded back and sprung forward after a couple of seconds. She chased the hare and quickly scooped it up into her jaws. She sighed contently and promptly propped into a laying position on her stomach. (She is so lazy.)

Embers tried to find Thorissia in the crowd,but could'nt see anything over the heaving mass of bodies. She struck out at a kallick dragon, her claws finding it's mark.

Flitz wriggled out of the cave. "I must help the forath win the battle!" Flitz gasped. And more importantly, protect the queen, Flitz thought. Flitz careened into a kallick dragon, bowling him and his erath friend over. Whipping her tail and lashing out with everything she had, Flitz had a dim realization that for some reason, she was not hurt.
