Lazarus briefly and gently poked Morgan on the nose, punctuating said poke with a "Boop." He waited to see if Morgan would react.

Morgan murmured, reaching out to grab Lazarus' finger.

"Lazarus is allowed to boop your baby and I can't even hold them?"

"...Technically I didn't ask, but booping isn't harmful." Lazarus allowed Morgan to take his finger. Hopefully they wouldn't try to eat it.

Three sighed. "You can boop them too, Cazenar."

"Yes!" Cazenar gently booped Morgan's nose, and they let go of Lazarus' finger to grab his.

"The baby has grasped you!" Lazarus declared, stating the absolutely obvious. He would've said something about what this meant... but it didn't really mean much at all, babies just liked grabbing.

"Not to rain on the bridge you've just gotten to cross... but I don't know if they could even have a preference for anyone yet? That kicks in a bit later, usually... but they do seem to like you! Perhaps it could turn into some favoring down the line, but that's typically toward the primary caregiver. But yeah, you can still be liked and/or loved by the baby... which, I mean, it makes sense that a baby would take to their caregiver but... uh, that's as far as my knowledge goes. I can only assume that comes from the whole 'This person provides me with a lot and/or everything' thing that comes with, y'know, having said caregiver. Or maybe it's something that's just... an innate baby instinct." He paused. He wondered if Lucas had such preferences as a baby, what with the lack of attention he got, which perhaps also meant a lack of being provided for in the Typical Baby-Providing Manner, or even just an Appropriate Baby-Providing Manner. It'd probably be too strange a question to ask him, and he wouldn't know due to the lack of baby memories he actually remembered anyways. He wondered if he would've had some kind of preference. Hm. Being human was strange. Or was it being Inamonthian? Being Lazarus Xanthos? Perhaps all of the above?

This was no bout of the confusion, though, just a slight pondering. He returned his attention back to anything but his thoughts... until realizing maybe Lucdust would know. That'd be... prying, though, wouldn't it? Well.
Back to being absorbed in the fact that he was holding a real baby. That was extremely neat.

"Are you sure babies tend to like the primary caregiver best?" said Three. "What if I do something wrong?"

"Babies don't know what wrong is unless it's like... Pain or neglect. Something they can... Feel. Like not getting attention when it's absolutely necessary and whatnot. They'll like you even if you make mistakes. And, with accidental not-giving-attention and accidental-infliction-of-pain, they'll get over it and like you still as long as it isn't frequently repeated. And, y'know, there's wiggle room with every baby, for all we know they might actually end up liking someone else more for some inexplicable reason, but they'll still like you nevertheless. Babies are varied but... As long as you aren't being cruel to Morgan on purpose, you'll do fine!"
