Raena dipped her head, accepting the girl's thanks but frowning a little as she wandered over to Adonai, ignoring her and the Rowabb. Getting back onto her feet and leaning close to his ears, she spoke softly, her tone more than thankful for his help. Thank you so much. I'm sorry for her, I'm sure she's thankful too. Now go back, I know there is someone near here that will want you back. You're not normal, I can see that easily. I think I know to whom you belong, but I won't tell. Gently stroking his neck, she turned away, eyes scanning the trees. Her eyes were more focused than Adonai's were a lot of the time, so she spotted their guest. Even for her, she was difficult to spot. Silently mouthing a thank you to the hidden one, she turned away, gesturing for Adonai and Beikon to leave. Lets go

Beikon stares at Adonai in astonishment. Really. He just really asked her why she ran off when he'd almost killed her. Spinning on her heel, Beikon storms towards Raena. "Men." This was exactly why she didn't have a mate. After all who could deal with such an imbecile all the time. Beikon stops as she notices the Rowaab for the first time. She gawks at it. "Its beautiful! What is it?" As she speaks, Raena, in her powerful and beautiful fashion, turns and barks for them to leave at Adonai. That's how a man should be treated, like a pet that needs to be taught.

Adonai

Adonai is spared the lecture as the girl takes offense at his question. He lets out a sigh of relief. Thats a pleasant surprise, as is their friend in the trees. Adonai suspects that Raena already knows but he knows Beikon would remain blissfully unaware. He follows at a distance behind her until Raena spins barking at him. If it were anyone else Adonai would have challenged them, but Raena was the only woman who Adonai truly respected. He may put on a farce for Uernterb or Matb but they were just there to him. In response to her command Adonai is plagued by one thought. "Where to?" As the words slip from his mouth the hopelessness of their task and Adonai's own wounds catch up with him and he collapses.

Smirking at Beikon, Raena nodded, rolling her eyes. Tell me about it. Oh, I'll tell you later, he needs to be off now To be completely honest, Raena was expecting a challenge from Adonai, but instead he merely asked where they were going... Maybe he was beginning to respect her, just as she was beginning to respect him... Noticing the slight change in his posture, her eyes went wide with surprise as she moved to take his weight. Grabbing him before he hit the ground, she draped his arm over her shoulders, taking his weight. It was a struggle, but the shock of what was happening was a good enough distraction from the pain she was feeling. It had hurt carrying herself, now she had to support him as well. Looking back over her shoulder, or Adonai's, she didn't really care, she frowned at Beikon, her pulse racing. Get the waterskin and the herbs, please. They are just over there... There was no disguising the worry in her voice. No matter how badly she treated him, she cared for him, he was like her brother and family helped eachother. Besides, it was time she repayed him for his help while she was unconscious.

Beikon is startled as Raena rushes forward to catch Adonai as he falls. She stares at the pair. Did she do that? "What happened? He was fine just a second ago." Beikon stares at Raena seeing that she truly cared about the boy. Would she ever get a break? It seemed every girl she took interest in would immediately become taken. Maybe it was a sign that she shouldn't be. But how could she change herself? Maybe these Roea were the key to a better her. After all she had to admit that Adonai was kind of nice looking...Suddenly she realizes that Raena was speaking to her. "Waterskin. Right." Beikon hurries off to retrieve the waterskin and herbs. As she returns she can't help but have a longing look at Raena. So strong... "Here. Is he going to be alright?"

Adonai

Adonai does what he can to help support his weight. His strength had just suddenly left him. "Nice catch." Adonai struggles to get his feet under him and shifts his weight backwards. His body sings of his injuries the fight had given him. "We don't have time to stop. We need to keep moving. I'll be fine." His footing returned, Adonai forces the pain to the back of his mind and takes a step forward.

Shaking her head, Raena pushed the waterskin into one of his hands, and the herbs into the other. Drink, eat... We wait here until you're strong enough. Don't try and argue because you know I'd win Frowning at him, she sighed, stepping in front of him to stop him moving. Moving her hand up to rest on his shoulder, she walked away slightly, pushing him back down to the ground as gently as she could manage. We need you to be battle ready in case we run into something else... Looking back over to Beikon to speak, she noticed the Talkur girl's stare, it made her a little uncomfortable so she looked back at Adonai as she moved herself to sit beside him. He should be alright but we need to get you back, and then get us back, and quickly. I'm finding it harder to cope with the pain I'm feeling right now... Looking down at herself, she frowned, furrowing her brow. She was battered and bruised, with a cut or two almost everywhere visible. As much as I hate going back empty handed, we have to get ourselves healed

My Rowabb stood watching the group of three. He had glanced back at me but shaking my head ever so softly and whispering a no to him, he stayed where he was. I knew if he came back, they might follow him. I already think the girl had seen me when I moved my head. Hopefully she only saw movement. I wouldn't be surprised if they all knew what I was. After all we are a legend, known for hiding and helping. The only rule is we can't let them see our face or truly interact with them. I never understood this rule but it was the one rule I most obey even when I didn't want to. Sighing so softly, like a breeze blowing through the still day, I wait for the trio to leave so my Rowabb may return to me and be at my side where he belongs.

Adonai

Adonai takes the objects from her and sits at her push, not having the strength to resist. He eats and drink as he is instructed. There is no point in fighting, even if he had the energy for it a child could beat him at this point. Instead he keeps his eyes down, not wanting Raena to see how weak he truly was at the moment. Finishing, he pulls himself to his feet and places the waterskin and whats left of the herbs on a large rock in plain view. Without a word he begins to walk into the jungle, heading to the river.

Beikon
Beikon watches as Adonai submits without protest. He must be hurt far more than he seemed. Either that or Raena had more control over him than she had thought. Just another reason to admire the woman. "Get back?" Beikon looked at Adonai angrily its his fault that they have to go back. She was finally getting to see the land but his stupidity was making them turn back. You know its for the best. You still haven't checked the reef, and its been quite some time. Beikon snaps at the Mope. "The reefs will be their boring old selves when we get back. Nothing will have happened. I doubt anyone will know that I've been gone." She glares at the bag angrily. She will go back but only if Raena makes her. Beikon's wrath is distracted as Adonai suddenly rises to his feet and starts to walk off. "And where is he off to? Looking to get himself killed again already?" The sour mood that Beikon finds herself is silenced as her Mope snaps at her. Control yourself! It was you who ran off a cliff and had to be rescued. Not him. You are still but a child in mind and action. That is why you are surveyor of the reef. You are not ready to leave it, no matter how old you may be! Beikon stands astonished. Her Mope had never spoken so harshly to her before. She wonders what Jyxt would do in a situation like this. She knows well enough. Hanging her head slightly, she follows Adonai.

Nodding slowly at Adonai as he started to walk off, she smiled at Beikon, following behind the two. I'm sorry but you have to go back. We can't take you to our village Taking longer strides, she passed Beikon, then Adonai as she travelled towards the river once again. Standing tall despite being in absolute agony, she kept them going, her bruising getting even worse as the hours went by... They covered the ground quickly, but it was still going to take them a few more hours at least... They had travelled further from the village and the river than she had thought, now they were paying the price.

Adonai

As soon as the river comes into view, Adonai slumps against a tree and sits. His body protests every breath he takes. "Go ahead. I need to rest for a moment." The Nertwar Bliba flutters down and lands on his shoulder. Even the faint touch of the guide is enough to send a new wave of pain through him. Why are you hiding your pain? You shouldn't be moving, it will only make things worse. Adonai dismisses the creature's worries. He will never admit how bad it truly hurts to Raena. The ridiculing lecture about how foolish he was to let himself suffer such a wound and not tell her would last for years. Instead he just bears the pain. As long as he keeps moving he will be fine. No matter how much he may want to sleep. Forcing himself up he moves towards the water's edge. After everything that had happened he considered Beikon a friend and he would see her off safely.

Beikon
Beikon had watched Raena the entire journey to the river. She made notes of every movement, how the injuries had altered her step. Even with her wounds she still moved with a powerful grace. Beikon can't help but admire the woman and envy her. As the river comes into view, she is vaguely aware of Adonai resting at a tree. She stops by him and waits for him to rise once more. Even now he slacks in his actions. "Come now, we are almost there. You can sleep when you return to your tribe." Beikon didn't particularly care for the boy but she knew Raena did. Perhaps Beikon even felt some friendship towards him as well. She did wish for him to be there when she returned. With any luck he'd be more useful then. Reaching the river she steps in and releases her Mope into the water. Fresh water at last! It was starting to become stale in that bag. Beikon smiles at her guide's joy. "So I guess this is where we part. Good bye and thank you for everything Raena." Beikon dives into the water and surfaces momentarily to take a final look at the pair.

You're welcome. It was nice seeing you again. Maybe we'll meet again another time? Smiling, she dipped her head to her new friend, turning back to Adonai. As soon as her facial expression was out of sight of the Talkur girl, her smile faded. How do you think I reacted so quickly when you collapsed? I've been watching you ever since the Apakoh accident. You shouldn't be moving, I can see how much pain your in Sighing, she hung her head, stepping back into the light that was filtering down through the gaps in the canopy. Removing her hands from her stomach, she looked down at herself. The skin had changed to a dull purple colour very unlike her usual greeny-red... The bruising looked even worse now than it had been when they started travelling... It was accelerating. I'm going to help you, whether you want my help or not. Give me your hand... Rolling her eyes, she watched him, holding out her hand for him to hold it. She'd then be able to move his arm back over her shoulders, allowing her to take some of his weight... This was their punishment for such a foolish act, it wouldn't be repeated.
