when we were kits, we were told stories of this place. we were told of the coyote's wicked songs and the
lonesome cries of hunting hawks; we were told of an ocean of sand that turned to liquid moonlight at the end of a
scorching day, while the eyes of our ancestors burned brighter than anywhere else. it was rumored that the desert
is the birthplace of cats, but our clan gave it up in exchange for the lush, green forests -- that is, until we had no
choice but to leave it, taking with us the youngest survivors of our clan. now we have returned to the hunting
grounds of our ancient predecessors, and it is up to our youth to find a way to survive in this bleak landscape,
guided by their elders.

quietnight is best known for her selectiveness when it comes to other cats and tends to have a different
relationship with everyone she meets. to some she is intimate, warm, and supportive; to others she is
sharp and stoic; and those she deems insufferable or despicable receive a cold, biting silence with an
attitude bordering on cruelty. she's very quick to judge because of this and doesn't like to waste her
time on giving the benefit of the doubt to those she immediately dislikes; thus, first impressions are
critical when dealing with a cat like her. she doesn't forgive easily, so much so that those who wrong
her or lose her respect would probably have to spend a lifetime earning it back. at her core, quietnight
is bold, fiery, and untamed: one moment she may be a graceful and well-kept, the next she is crowing
regal defiance to the stars. she tends to keep other cats at an arm's length, so don't be fooled by her
coquetry or compassion: such behaviors are ephemeral, but those who are granted a close relationship
with her will find depths to her that she keeps well hidden on the outside.

quietnight had an average life as a warrior, and was always well-respected for her loyalty to honor
and duty. she was deputy for a series of moons in ridgeclan, but stepped down when she decided a young
-er cat ought to have the position. she lived a happy life alongside her mate, kin, and son, but is haunted
after having to watch vulturehunt die at the claws of the rogues. as much as she is glued to her position
now, she wishes to retire again and be able to truly grieve for her lost clanmates.

amply named, nightmyth is a cat who quite literally lives in the shadows of the clan, someone who
tends to make herself so scarce that one might question her very existence. she is, however, very real,
and though cats tend to think of her as a prickly, apathetic recluse, she's actually quite the opposite:
nightmyth is incredibly kind and possesses a generous heart, she just prefers to keep to herself and is
a cat that must be sought out if you wish to speak with her. adding to her sporadic nature, she's been
known to appear just when you need her most, owing to her tendency to lurk around and observe. she
prefers to mind her own business since she doesn't want to have any part in or responsibility for the
actions of other cats, but when help is needed, you can count on her to be there. nightmyth is a touch
on the shy side, but doesn't mind being approached; however, she doesn't trust easily when it comes to
sharing personal aspects of herself, thus avoiding most conversations altogether.

nightmyth was born alongside her sister, ravenpaw, to loonspots and lionthorn. the two she-cats
were inseparable and spent most of their time in the company of one another, with ravenkit always
encouraging the shier nightmyth to venture further from the nursery. after the rogue attack on the
ridgeclan camp, nightmyth and her sister managed to escape with the other kits and elders. but
ravenpaw was killed when a fox attacked the group during their journey. this caused nightmyth
to fold inwards, and she hardly uttered a peep the rest of the way to the desert. now, she spends
most of her nights alone, staring at the stars with both wonder and fury.

toadpaw is a short tomcat with a solid black coat. he has medium length whiskers, short
and silky fur with a soft texture, and a medium length tail. he has very light green eyes
that are flecked with gold. toadpaw has short claws and soft paws from his medicine
work with only a few scars around his forelegs from travelling over rough terrain.
toadpaw is a generally pragmatic individual. he likes to takes things slow and realistically
to a fault, logical. facts are facts and he believes heavily in that. despite this, he is an
open-minded cat in hearing others opinions and respectful to others beliefs. toadpaw
can be described as a quiet cat as well, preferring to be in the background helping. he is a
sweet thing and likes to make friends if and when he can. toadpaw can also be clumsy
at the worst of times and is almost overbearingly humble; enough to annoy some.

toadpaw was born to fallowthroat(m) and mosswhisker(f) in ridgeclan, followed along
with sunkit(s) and willowkit(b). nothing much was an issue of his past, other than the
rouge attack. it was devastating and their parents died during the battle before they
left. sunkit and willowkit were not strong enough to handle the desert heat, collapsing
from overheating and a lack of herbs and ever since, toadpaw has vowed to help others.

whitespot is a lithe, medium sized shecat with a primarily cinnamon brown coat with a pa
tch of pure white fixed on her chest and the bottom of her jaw, which is what she is nam
ed for. she has blank light blue-green eyes with subtle hints of yellow, long whiskers, and a
long tail to accompany it. her fur is ragged, she has large paws, and has few scars on her.
whitespot is an interesting feline. she has a calm deposition nearly at a constant, relaxed
and almost dull if anything. she comes off as aloof to most, but whitespot is actually very
aware, she just prefers to give off the illusion of boredom. she is indifferent to most, but
does have her soft moments. she can be surprisingly emotional and sensitive to certain
topics and can be aggressive to those she cares about, displaying her protective side.

whitespot, previously known as dusty, grew up in the desert with lake(m) and gem(f) and her
two other siblings; hawk(b) and sand(s). life was tough in the desert, but they managed
until they all got old enough to live on their own. dusty was fine on her own, however her li
fe changed around when she met ivory, a light gray tom that she fell in love with. they loved
each other immensely, even attempting to have kits of their own, but the process went south
and none survived. dusty struggled with her own failure and only fell into more distress when
ivory died from a coyote. dusty found duneclan and eventually joined, adopting the title
whitespot.

xxxTinybug is a fourteen moon old Siamese she-cat currently residing in DuneClan. She is a whitish light gray color all over, with accents of brown on her back and brown points on her paws, face and ears. The molly is small for her age, but whatever she doesn't make up in brute force, she makes up in smarts. She's quick-thinking and intelligent, with a calm head to assess situations and react to them quickly. She is defensive of both herself and others, and is very stubborn.
xxxBorn into what was once RidgeClan, Tinybug didn't have many friends as a young kit. Even after abandoning RidgeClan to make home in DuneClan, she liked to stay to herself, watching the Clan and everybody in it. She was quiet, rarely found actually talking to anybody. As an apprentice and now warrior, she still doesn't have many friends, keeping to herself and was often found sleeping or working in some way. She spends most of her time hunting or patrolling or helping out the queens and medicine cat. Some think it's because she wants to actually feel like she was carrying her weight - but no one ever gets close enough for a solid answer.

xxxDawnpaw has always been trying to prove herself to just about everyone in the clan. She is competitive, comes across as rude often, and hard to deal with. She is very emotional, often stuck in her own thoughts and feelings. She just wants to do her part in rebuilding the clan, which often can get herself in some trouble when she tries doing too much on her own. She is close to getting her warrior name, but is scared she will somehow "ruin" her changes. Dawnpaw keeps up a strong front that everything is okay, when really she is just one big mess on the inside. She's always been too in her own head to make many close bonds within the clan. The only memory she has of Ridgeclan is her mother, who promised to protect her from starclan as the rogues were coming.

to camp by her parents and received immediat

originally invoked whisperpool's interest in med
icine, and even as a young kit she would spend
most of her time in the medicine den while the
other kits played warriors and leaders. her prio
r familiarity and knowledge before she was six
moons helped her excel massively as a medicine
cat apprentice, and she enjoys every second of
the role, being able to use her skills for her clan
