spacerCherrypaw returned Ivypaw's glare with an innocent smile, and fell into line behind Stormheart. He followed along with a bounce to his step, and at his mentor's question, he opened his jaws to begin tasting the air. The scents were muddled by the earthy and humid forest air, but through it all, one faint odour stood out to him. "I'm picking up a mouse some where in that direction," he began proudly, waving his tail to indicate where he was talking about. "Wait actually, maybe it's a vole? Anyways, some kind of ground prey thing." He trailed off at the end, unsure of exactly what animal he detected.

spacerA small chuckle rumbled in Kestreldawn's chest. "That's good," she meowed in return. "We all need a break now and then." She lightly tapped Brackenstar's shoulder with her tail, but was momentarily distracted by the hustle and bustle of the various patrols leaving camp. Her gaze landed on her apprentice and Splashpaw, who were in conversation as well. "Speaking of breaks, I think I've had mine this morning. I should probably take Drizzlepaw out training soon," Kestreldawn sighed with an apologetic pout. She felt quite bad cutting their talk so short, but suddenly, she was struck with an idea. "Are you planning on doing anything this morning? I know you're probably a bit busy, and it's a little untraditional, but you could join us if you'd like?" she offered, shuffling her paws a little nervously. "I thought maybe I could take the brothers out for battle training-- it'd be nice to have some extra paws," she rambled on, hoping she hadn't talked for too long.

Thinking on the idea for a few moment, Brackenstar racked his brain. Unless something urgent came up, he was free for the morning. A small smile unconsciously spread across his face. "You know what, I could use a little bit of training myself. I may be enforcing the new training techniques, but it does no good if I don't practice the same techniques. I have done my fair share of teaching myself, but more never hurts. So I don't mind helping out a bit." The tom replied. "And it wouldn't hurt for Splashpaw to learn how to defend himself." Brackenstar meowed.

Pearfluff nodded. "I'm sure you could always go talk to Ravenfeather about your dreams. Out of any cat here, she'd understand," replied the she-cat, trying to reassure the queen. At the sound of her kits, she looked down at the two playing, a smile widening on her face.

Ignoring Cherrypaw, Ivypaw followed the patrol. Right when she was going to mention the scent of squirrel that was filling her mouth, Cherrypaw spoke up. Realizing she may have been wrong, the she-cat let the older apprentice take the lead on this, keeping her mouth shut.

Mossflight shook his head. "Not unless I get called for an evening patrol," the tom replied. "What about you?" The warrior asked in return to the she-cat.

Startled away by a tickle on her back from an out-of-place branch, the she-cat shook the nightmare from her head as she got up, stretched, and left the warriors den. Padding out in the camp, Sagespot realized she must of slept later than she wanted to, as the patrols already seemed to be out. The she-cat looked around to see who wasn't out on a patrol. Spotting Creamflower by herself, the warrior padded over to her, sitting down across from her. "Morning Creamflower. How are you doing?" Sagespot asked.

Waking up to Freesiadrop standing over him, the tom quickly got up. "Ahh, sorry. I didn't realize I had been asleep for so long." Robinshine apologized, looking away in embarrassment. He wasn't typically one to oversleep. Get up early? No, but never oversleep.

Whitekit let out a playful gasp as her brother whacked her on the nose with his paw. "Oh, that's it! I'm gonna get you!" Whitekit mewed energetically. Taking her own paw, she batted back at him, hitting his ear before she pounced on top of him.

Stormheart nodded in response to what Cherrypaw had said. Scenting the air himself he could pick up several different scents including mouse and squirrel, as well as their medicine cat. Probably out collecting herbs. As they continued their walk to the western border, "Well done," he purred with approval, "it's pretty easy to get those two mixed up, but mouse is there, squirrel too." As soon as he said that he spotted a mouse creeping out from underneath some of the brush. He flicked his tail at Cherrypaw; nodding to where the mouse sat nibbling seeds by the roots.

"The same I imagine, she meowed "you'd think with us being in a new camp there would be more to do, but the break is nice after the long walk to get here." She glanced around the camp as more and more of her clanmates began to break off into the necessary patrols and mentors grabbed apprentices for training.

Wolfpaw scowled at his sister as he went by "It's not arrogant if it's true," he looked towards where Feathercloud was waiting for him, "there's nothing wrong with wanting to do the best for the clan." He gave Willowpaw one final glance, not particularly wanting to get in trouble for starting an argument before he even got out of camp. He continued over to where the patrols were leaving, tail waving in the air, and followed the hunting patrol out of camp.

Willowpaw rolled her eyes at Wolfpaw, but she couldn't help but admire his utter dedication to ThicketClan. As he walked off to begin his hunting patrol, Willowpaw turned to the warriors that had gathered for the border patrol. She greeted them, nodding to them in turn. "Morning, Emberglow. Mapleheart." She grinned at her mentor. "Hello, Mothfern. Are you ready to go?" Willowpaw sat down, putting on a poised facade. On the inside, she was elated, ready to do a border patrol to protect her clan. Her eyes were wide with determination. She was going to protect her clan at all costs.

He watched the camp for a moment, looking for any open or lonely warrior or apprentice, not seeing anyone. Sighing he turned to go toward the deputy "Excuse me Emberglow, but are you doing patrol's, mind If I join one of them? I promise not to be anyone's way, just getting some moss to my nest and...have some walk?" he meowed to the younger she-cat, giving a small greeting to the other cats around her as well.

She shook her head "Ah it's not that late actually, this den is mostly empty, but the patrols are not left yet, or so far I know are not" she meowed to him, with a smile. She walked toward the den entrance "I am sorry to wake you up, I just thought you could want to be early up and ready" she meowed to him silently.

He didn't like an early awakening, but for some reason he wakes up now without getting any more of sleep, it annoyed him as part of him still wanted to sleep. As he got tired to curling around his nest, he stood up and walked out of the den making her way past the clearing toward the fresh-kill pile to check it, there was not much only a few birds and squirrel.

Splashpaw looked over to his brother with wide eyes and a smile “Oh yeah? We probably wouldn’t be allowed to go too far though.” He gave a soft sigh wondering when the rest of the clan would start to feel more comfortable in their new home. He was so excited to get to explore it all. As Drizzlepaw brought his mentor Splashpaw nodded “Yeah of course! Let’s go ask her.” He jumped up quickly hit tail high in the air as he trotted toward the cats his over-eagerness making him forget to wait for his brother. A smile was plastered on his face as he approached the two his eyes shining with wonder.

Gorsebriar let the scents pass over her tongue as well as the roof of her mouth holding in the scent longer in her nose to pick up more. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she smelled something slightly off near the medicine cat I will have to talk to her. Her attention was pulled from it as Cherrypaw spoke up shaking her head just barely at the young one’s pride. Gorsebriar looked back noticing the silence of her own apprentice. She hummed softly to herself I need to take the young she-cat out separately later for training. Gorsebriar continued to follow Stormheart spotting the mouse as he did and gently flicking her tail tip to indicate it to Ivypaw as well, but gently touching the apprentices’ shoulder as if to tell her to wait.

A laugh left his mouth as he successfully egged on his sister his butt wiggling with excitement. At the bat to his ear, he flicked it slightly in annoyance. With the pounce, Owlkit fell on his back with a huff before pushing him back paws into his sisters’ belly to try to ger her to fall off even as he laughed. As his mother spoke Owlkit purred softly feeling contented by her voice and being close to her and his sister. Though his ears perked at the mention of a dream. He grunted still playing with his sister as he huffed out “Oh a dream! I love telling mommy about my dreams can I hear about your dream?”

Willowpaw greeted Gorsebriar the same way that she greeted the others, with respect and reverence. She recognized Mallowtail''s experience and servitude to the clan. Mallowtail had always been kind to her, as well, and helped her through the tough times of the move...at least, those times that she remembered. As she grew older, it was more and more difficult to recall the events of her past. Except for... [i]No. There's no need to remember that right now./i] Snapping herself out of her thoughts, she meowed, "Oh, I'd personally love it if you came with us!" Then, realizing she had spoken out of turn, she meekly bowed her head. "Er, if that's okay with the rest of the patrol, I mean." She eagerly awaited to see what they would say.

Well, I did leave the Clan at night to train with other rouges, so I can't say I don't know how to fight." She murmured quietly. Her gaze shifted from the tom to a bush she knew all too well. Deathberries, my favorite. "I've been looking everywhere for these, even going out of the territory for a whole quarter-moon in search of these deadly berries." She chuckled to herself as she broke off a small branch without using her teeth. She knew the consequences of ingesting these. After all, she did test the twigs and needles on a rouge in the area when she was made into a medicine cat. "These kill fast but not instantly, sadly. Oh, the number of deaths I could rack up if I poisoned the cats but I know better. I could get demoted or even exiled for murder."

Pearfluff meowed with a chuckle, remembering how it was to be a kit.

Ivypaw stopped at Gorsebriar's command. The she-cat kept as still as possible as she watched Stormheart motion to Cherrypaw to get the mouse. Why do I have to train with an older apprentice? Why couldn't it be with the younger apprentices? Ivypaw thought to herself. The she-cat was only seven moons old and had only just become an apprentice before the move to the new camp.

Whitekit let out a squeal as Owlkit pushed her off. Her brother's laugh was contagiously, leading to the she-kit starting to laugh as well. Hearing her mother speak with Ashcloud, she pricked her ears, listening to their conversation. She didn't really understand much of what they were saying, but hearing Ashcloud talk about her own kits, Whitekit jumped up, eyes wide. "We're gonna have new playmates! We'll teach them all the best moves we know!" The she-kit exclaimed excitedly.
