welcome to shadeclan, an extremely proud group of cats who have lived within the dense pine f
orests of austria for generations. loyalty is a core value within the clan and they live and breath
e for each other. however, following the mysterious death of beloved past leader stonestar, ten
sions have risen between cats who once shared intimate tongues. there is subjectively nothing
wrong with the new leader, besides an ominous ill omen delivered to the clan's medicine cat de
picting this cat as unfit to lead. word of this omen hasn't reached the clan yet, but when it doe
s, will they side with their fine new leader who has never wronged them yet, or will they side w
ith their medicine cat, who ultimately speaks for their worshipped ancestors? as loyal as these c
ats are, never before have they had to choose who their loyalties lie with.

territory
shadeclan is situated in a dense pine forest in austrian mountains, meaning summers can be as
hot as 30 c (86 f) and as cold as -3 c (26 f) in the winter this means pelt lengths can vary, but
typically shadeclan cats have earthy/rocky coloured fur. their camp lies in a rocky clearing
and most dens are constructed from sticks and moss, besides the leader's den and medicine
den, which are made from disused fox sets in the ground. clan meetings are held on the
tallest rock in the clearing, which lies right beside the leader's den.

prey
prey consists of usual forest creatures including mice, shrews and voles. blackbirds are very
common, and seeing the odd crow on the freshkill pile is more common than you'd think.
hunting is normally a rather dangerous procedure as the trees can hide very sheer drops in
the cliffs, so knowing where these drops are is critical knowledge for a warrior and any
training apprentice.

predators
foxes, badgers and rogues are typical problems shadeclan face, normally with ease. however
the odd mountain goat can sometimes (but rarely) be seen on the cliffs and mountain faces.
it is highly advised to avoid these creatures wherever possible.
