"I'll come with, sure," Lucas said. Monopoly. Torture. Lucas didn't know that was a thing and it made his partial enjoyment yet inability to complete a game and inability to fully enjoy it felt a lot more villainous. If only he could enjoy it more, like Lazarus found having his socks soaked enjoyable, rather than finding it a horrible feeling... it just made you innately more unnerving. He needed something like that... but greater than wet socks. Would liking Monopoly be more unnerving than wet socks? Hm.

Voidage and DVS would most likely be too busy with Boat Stuff but if they learned of it, they'd try to find it but never actually end up finding it. HC would get in for Being Cool, Vox would be in there by connection. Ignatius would get in by... I dunno, kids getting their hands on video games just plain happens. Ignatius just Knows things about Mario Kart and probably just caught on. Captial would... be the one carrying him there lol

Along with a trolley holding several of Aurion's new artefacts, they arrived at the lab, which opened to Three's palm print and retina scan. The room contained various tools, which Three started examining, several vials, a wall full of computers, a line of empty pods, and at the end, some kind of large, faintly humming, casket.

"So," said Aurion, approaching them to look over the tools too. "This was where she did most of her work?"

Three nodded, not looking up. "I spent a lot of time here, as a child. Having a lot of the same DNA, I was an excellent test subject for her."

Lucas nodded in a quiet manner, glancing about. Not with awe, or much any emotion... but he was just observing. He didn't feel like asking any questions. He just followed along, wondering what exactly was of interest to Three in here.

Aurion nodded. "Well. I'm glad she disappeared. I've enjoyed looting her home."

"I know," said Three, collecting up a few instruments. "I am glad you could be here. You seem to have found a lot that interests you."

They turned towards the casket, nodding at it. "That worries me. I didn't know about it, but it's clearly an important experiment."

Well, now Lucas felt like questioning this. "...Now that you mention it, the... what is that, a humming? That does seem to be worrying. Do you think - whatever it is - it was still an active experiment? Before her disappearance, anyways? Still active right now, even? Or is it just... humming?"

"Yes, I assume that means it's active." Three approached cautiously, a hand on their gun and reached out to the casket. It reacted to their touch, sliding open, and Three let out a gasp.

"What is it?" Aurion ran over to the casket. "Oh."

Lucas did not like those reactions but followed along, not knowing what to expect from the Weird Humming Casket.

A small wail came out of the casket and Three jerked slightly, before reaching in and lifting out a small baby. "It's all right," they said, quietly. "She can't hurt you. No one is going to hurt you. How- how do I hold a baby?"

"Support the head more!" said Aurion, pulling off his cloak to wrap the baby up in, and settling them in Three's arms again. "Is it- I mean, they're another clone, aren't they? Of Maedryn? Or you?"

Three nodded, still looking at the baby. "I... believe so. Maedryn was clearly growing them in there, and... she'd have treated them the way she treated me. But you're safe, now. She's gone. I won't let anyone hurt you."

"Oh my gosh. That's a baby. I was not expecting a baby... what... what do you- what do you plan on doing with the baby? If- oh, you just picked up the baby, probably don't even have a plan..." Lucas's eyes darted around nervously. "Do... you want me to try and get my pockets to do the thing? I could... try to get some formula to appear out of them... Or I could try to find some? We don't know when this baby last ate... " Lucas had no clue what was going on and he had no experience with babies. He was not expecting a baby whatsoever and this... was honestly a better outcome than he thought it'd be.

Three slowly rocked the baby, who continued to cry quietly. "The casket was keeping them frozen, food before now will not have been a problem, but yes, in future, they will presumably need that. Or drink? Do babies need... teeth, before they eat? I don't know a lot about babies. Once they've calmed down, I can scan them, and make sure they... have the same needs as other human babies? And what those are. I can look up how to look after babies. I think... I need to look after them. I'd feel responsible if they were hurt, and I need to do better than... I need to look after them." They stroked the baby's hair, as they started to calm down.

"We can help!" said Aurion. "I mean, minion, I'm commanding you to help. Although... this is going to make completing your degree harder. I guess I'll be completing mine before you, then!"
