marley stood aside from the group, arms crossed, an angry expression on her face. we don't need another mouth to feed! however, she was obviously outvoted, so she turned to aurora. "shouldn't i be the one scouting ahead for danger? i can be silent, plus, you know, i'm a scout."

Tripp looked at aurora as she looked around and started to pull things out and apart looking for something to tie the strangers hands together. "Go with aurora, it's better in pairs. I'll take care of carrying the stranger and we will head back." he suggested. He really didn't want all this back and fourth stuff. They needed to get this kid back to the compound, so he waited for the guys wrists to be restricted before lifting him over his shoulder holding his legs as he started to walk towards the door, he lowered the unconscious boys density causing him to get lighter and making it easier to carry him. At this point Tripp wasn't struggling at all and the boy had the weight of a backpack at most.

She narrowed her eyes at the group for a moment when they offered up the idea and sighed, "Fine, and when we are there I'll check him for bites." she states. Her body had almost fully gone back to normal from Benji's power though she still felt a little weak in the knees. She carefully lifted benji as aurora put the cuffs on him. She didn't think it was necessary but, if it meant they could keep him safe she didn't care. Then she watched as Tripp lifted Benji over his shoulder, the boys arms dangling freely. She could see Marley's face was rather sour, and this put a small smirk across her face. She stood up now and followed behind tripp and kept her eyes on the unconscious boy.

Even though atlas wasn't a person who enjoyed conflict, he wanted to make sure everyone was okay, though if it came down to him needing to be some sort of physical help. He wasn't someone who would step in to separate people. He knew exactly where they are, he has seen the gas station previously before. He continued walking as they started to close in on the gas station but not close enough to see anyone. He nodded to Storm before sending a message to aurora again "You guys all good? There's a stranger, is he safe?" he asks the girl. He knew he was probably getting on her nerves at this point, just popping in and out of her head and thoughts like this. "There is a outsider, they found an outsider. I can hear all of their thoughts about him." he explained to storm.

Storm really wanted to know what was happening after everything and then Atlas said there is an outsider. His jaw dropped to the floor, who was it? Were they hurting someone? What was happening? Who was it? It all made him want to go more and if Atlas wasn't with him, he probably would have been halfway there by now. "Who do you think the person is, do you think its someone random or someone related to someone here? He imagined if it was someone here that would be insane he thought. So he tried to look further he couldn't see much just some of the group and a male figure. He just hoped he wasn't going to be trouble. So he did what he could do and wait and walk.

ezra began to love sleep a little more after the apocalypse hit. no matter how little rest he actually got from it, it still helped get his own thoughts and feelings in order after a long day of breathing in other people's feelings. a nice little reset. sometimes, with his mutation, it was difficult to discern what emotion was actually his own. it even kind of made him feel a bit useless, too, sometimes. he could feel the pain from others, the sorrow and anxiety, but there was no way for him to take that pain away. he only had words, which were harder to use than magic. ezra learned to be okay with that, and did the best he could with his words, and even gave out free hugs. he liked hugs. ezra never got that much sleep, he didn't think others did either, considering the circumstances. he woke up, stretching to start, eyes hazy and drowsy, but he was still able to push himself out of bed. he stuck to a quick pace usually, eager to see what the day had in mind, even if it wasn't much, and he was always happy to see the other member's faces. when he walked downstairs, he quickly noticed the emptiness - figured the others were busy and decided to survive on his own for a bit until he was needed.

junnie already missed the comfort of his blanket pile, and he felt nervous being so out in the open in the bright light of day. luckily, he hadn't come across that many threats during his walk; a zombie here and there that he had to sneak around. he didn't have much to protect him besides a short metal pipe that he picked up along the way weeks ago. every day was a step outside of his comfort zone, but he needed food, and his throat was so dry that it was difficult to swallow - he was beginning to grow desperate, reckless almost. he had to still stay smart, though, and safe. he took his chance inside a convenience store, tip-toeing into the building as quiet as can be while keeping his senses attentive to anything that might harm him. finally, he saw an object on a shelf. it was just a granola bar, but it was much better than nothing. he swiped it off the shelf and then noticed a can of soup. he grinned, 'that would be a nice dinner,' he thought to himself. he took it and shoved it into his backpack. after finding nothing else interesting, he decided to have a seat on the ground, unwrapping the granola bar and having a snack.

aries walked to the scout tower, but was surprised to find no one there. where the hell is everyone? determined to find out where all her people had gone, she sat down cross-legged beneath the overhang of the scout tower. she closed her eyes, and focused all her energy into listening. aries widened her reach bit by bit, until she heard voices. she focused on listening to that specifically, blocking out all other noises. outsider... hear thoughts... atlas... suddenly there was a loud noise right beside aries, deafening her momentarily. she was shaken for her reverie, and turned to see a lone zombie shaking the chain-link fence. sighing, she pulled out her knife and stabbed it, killing it quickly and efficiently. "dammit! i was so close." she wouldn't be able to hear that far again so soon.

marley huffed, but went ahead with aurora. once they left the gas station, marley straightened, paying attention to her surroundings once more. she may be snarky and rude, but marley took her job as a scout seriously. after a short while, almost halfway to camp, the two girls ran into storm and atlas. they were talking about "some stranger", and instantly knew atlas had been using his telepathy. marley rolled her eyes and turned to aurora, not even greeting the other two boys. "you couldn't have told us you were talking with atlas?" sighing, she eyed atlas, wondering what aurora had told him.

indentationThe first thing Benji noticed when he came to was feeling light, like he was a feather. He also felt dizzy and like he might throw up. A mirgraine pounded behind his eyes. He felt arms hold him, walking. His hands were bound, this caused panic to erupt throughout his body. His eyes flew open and he saw a boy with black hair carrying him.

Benji's flight or fight kicked in and he started trying to wiggle away. His powers were completely depleted so there was no use in trying and risk passing out again. His weight was off though. He could feel it. "What are you doing to me?!" He yelled in panic, trying to understand why he felt the way he did. "I didn't do anything!!" Benji yelled once more, still unsuccessful trying to break-free. "Nova?! You set me up!" His yells getting more frantic. He wasn't thinking straight, he couldn't help but come to that conclusion.

He looked over to storm "I believe all of them are fine...i can hear everyone's thoughts, except the strangers...which mean he either is able to block my reading or he is unconscious." he reassured the boy. He looked ahead. Did anyone know him? He wondered, it didn't seem like it. "From what i'm hearing he doesn't seem to be someone anyone knows. So unless at camp? But i highly doubt it." he explained to storm. After a few moments of walking, Marley and aurora stumbled on him and storm. "Oh hey guys." he said with an awkward smile. He knew aurora told them to stay put but Atlas wasn't one to really listen. His eyes then moved to marley, her thoughts were sometimes hard to read, but he caught onto this one. "She didn't have to tell me anything...I can read everyone's mind remember....I got the information myself. Plus when your angry marley, your thoughts are loud." he explained. He didn't want aurora to get in trouble.

Tripp watched as the two girls went off ahead and started to walk that direction to. He just hoped nothing would try to come up from behind them. Tripp then felt the movement of the boy as he came too "Well atleast he isn't dead.." he said under his breath. "We aren't doing anything to you kid! We are taking you to camp and getting a medic to look at you...you hit your head pretty hard calm down." he explained. "Plus you weren't the lightest thing to carry so i changed your density to make it easier." he finished. But he kept himself holding the kid, the moment his hands were to not be connected to the kid is the minute his density would go back to normal.

She could see that Benji was waking up and she had a faint smile on her face, good he's okay... she thought to herself. Then suddenly Benji started freaking out as Tripp explained everything that was going on she hoped it would help calm the boy down. But it didn't really seem like it would. Then he said words that really hurt. It was like a dagger to the chest almost. Nova was cautious, but she wasn't one to do something like that ever to another person. You could see the hurt in her eyes as she looked at Benji, that hurt quickly turned to anger and her body flickered again like she was glitching before she quickly teleported directly up to him and slapped him across the face, it would probably leave a red mark. "Jerk...and after all i did...to protect you and get you to come back to camp to make sure you were okay. You're tied up because that was the only way to get you to the compound, they are afraid you have a bite, and i wasn't sure so that's why you are the way you are right now!!...and that's what you think of me?! Someone who will just set someone up like that? ....If that's the case i should've let marley gut you where you stood." She let herself fall behind a little so she wasn't directly in Benjis face, and her eyes were now casted to the ground. How could he think something like that? How was I supposed to know they would come here? Or that they would react like that? I am the reason that he is not dead right now. she thought to herself. But...I am also the reason....he is the way he is...if...I had....just gone somewhere else today. He wouldn't have the injury on his head from going unconscious. And he wouldn't be tied up and carried off, and scared... She finished her thoughts once more.

This was all a bit too much for Storm he was trying to calm down but he was angry. There was a new outsider who knew nothing about him. He was finally close enough to see Nova and Tripp there why? Were they becoming friends with a stranger? Did he have powers? What could he do? Right now there, there were so many things in his head running around, he tried to get them out but he couldn't. Storm had a headache and was trying to focus as much as possible. So all he could get out without getting more of a headache was, "Look I don't really care about much right now except two things, 1. Don't blame this on Atlas he can read minds and I can see further than the average person I'm the one who saw him blame me for being here and bringing Atlas with me not him. 2. That guy could be a threat and I think Nova and Tripp are befriending him or something like that. How are we going to let this happen?"

xxxxxxxxAurora turned on her heel, spinning herself around so her back was to Marley's face. She wasn't going to fight with her, now was not the time. She overheard "pairs" before the shattered glass door was being shoved open then swinging closed. We aren't sure about the outsider. We're all fine though. Outsider is coming back to camp but we have him tied down. The things she would have given for Atlas to have joined them instead of Marley. She might feel that way now but if they stumbled across a horde she couldn't take down? Well, in that case, let Marley get eaten alive. Speak of the devil! Marley was on her heels now. Aurora pretended she wasn't there until the pair ran into Atlas and Storm. Whatever Marley said went in one ear and out the other. "Atlas, I told you guys to stay back at camp." She crossed her arms over her chest and stared the two of them down. They may be able to hold their own but that didn't mean the group could afford anyone else dying or getting injured.
xxxxxxxxAtlas defended her then against Marley. It was sweet but not necessary, Marley didn't deserve any kind of an explanation until she decided to start acting like an adult. Sixteen was still a teen, yes, but in the middle of a global apocalypse no one had a choice. She'd have to thank and speak with Atlas later, in private, when a certain someone wasn't around. Storm hopped on the defense too. "Lets just get going," Aurora remarked as she started ahead again.

indentationShock was written on Benji's face after the slap. It really did knock some sense into him but also caused his head to hurt and spin more. He finally stopped wiggling and accepted his fate. As they approached the compound he saw the two girls from earlier standing with two new guys. It seemed like they were all arguing. Benji stayed silent as they got closer to the group, not wanting to cause anymore trouble or pain for himself. He started to wonder if he should of just ran from Nova when he had the chance. This was too much for him to handle. He wasn't a threat, he carried no weapons, had no bites, his power was literally non-threating. Benji has never used it to threaten anyone, he uses it to hid, like a coward.
