Cassia saw Daniel take after Lorin, so she in turn went after the girl. She was faster, and quickly ran her down. The girl tried to throw her off and double back, but Cassia was prepared, quickly switching back and chasing the girl back the way she came. Lorin was almost to the weapon stash when he felt someone shove him to the ground. With a grunt Lorin tried to escape and get to a knife, anything that would help him defend himself. He scrambled to his feet and grabbed a small knife, turning to run from Daniel again, he had already ran so much today that his lungs hurt as he struggled to push himself just a little bit further.

"Melanie!" The girl cried as she went tumbling down. She considered going back for her, but Juniper saw the girl from District 2 coming right for her. Breath caught in her throat Juniper pulled out her knife and ran, perhaps she would be faster than Cassia. Unfortunately she was wrong, and could hear the tribute from district 2 quickly gaining Turning when she was just close enough Juniper tried to run the knife into Cassia's side but it didn't work. Breathing heavily, she ran off again, running back in the direction she just came from, trying desperately to throw her attacker off.

Joshua nodded and followed Kyra, keeping a respectful distance so she wouldn't feel threatened, but close enough that he felt safer by not being alone. When they got to the creek he gratefully cupped some water in his hands, dousing it over his head. He didn't know if it was safe to drink or not but it was good to cool off.

Melanie saw that Juniper was in danger, Cassia running behind her. She listened to the leaves rustling around her, trying to snap back to her thoughts. Kyra stared into the water at her own reflection, then back at her wound. Unwrapping the cloth, she splashed some water on it. indentationBenji watched Cassia chase after Juniper. Slowly he crouched walked to get a better veiw. He doesn't want anyone to know he's alive. When Melanie alerted Cassia to divert Benji set up a plan. He made his way into a bush near Melanie, so when Cassia comes running by he can take her by surpise. He looked at his arm, bleeding through the wrap. Today was not his day.

Cassia's attention immediately shifted to a rustling sound in the bushes. Another tribute? A trap? Thoughts swirled in Cassia's head. Could the girl have been bait to ambush her? Taking a step back, Cassia cursed under her breath as the distraction caused the blonde girl to escape into the trees. "You'll have to come out eventually." Cassia called menacingly. You could either burn to death or have me kill you- its your choice."

Lorin stumbled, feeling something steel lodge into his back. No... He collapsed on the ground as he felt blood soaking into his clothes. He could feel all of district 3 watching and laughing at him right now. Lorin Tate. Couldn't even survive the first day, laughing stock of the technology district. With that one final thought the life drained out of Lorin's eyes and a cannon shot rang across the arena.

This was it- she was going to die. Don't cry! Se willed herself as tears filled her eyes. Suddenly she heard a rustling from the bushes that seemed to capture both her and Cassia's attention. Benji? Melanie? Raven? Taking advantage of the distraction Juniper darted for a non burning section of the forest, diving behind a boulder and held herself in a ball. I almost died... Shaking, and trying to stop from sobbing, silent tears fell from Juniper's eyes. I don't want to die here!

Except I intended on going alone from the start. I fear being a burden, or being betrayed after all."

Cassia heard a cannon shot- Daniel must've killed the boy from 3. She heard Daniel approach and tightened the grip on her sword. She didn't trust Daniel one bit, but he was a good ally to have if their goal was to hunt tributes. "Don't call me sweetie." She snapped, then angled her attention to the woods. "Are they trying to lure us into our fire?" She asked with a chuckle. "Or are they legitimately running away into fire?"

Joshua jumped at the sound of a cannon. Another meaningless death. He thought sadly. Joshua understood where she was coming from. He often felt like a burden himself, it made it hard to trust people. indentationBenji heard the two talking. Crap. He couldn't take both of them. He sunk further into the ground. Good. Hopefully they'll think they're idiots. Benji thoughts of all the posibilites. He couldn't take them both. Maybe if Juniper gets at least one they'd have a good chance. But now they're acting like a pack. They is no way they'd separate. Benji scowled at his thoughts.

How are they suppose to win and protect Melanie now? How can he protect both Melanie and Juniper? He's grown a little attachment towards the girls, he admitted to himself. Right in that moment, Benji thought of new plan. Its so crazy it might just work.

Melanie was running quickly, but once she ran far away from them that's when she realized the flames had started to surround her. She started to go back, but saw Cassia and Daniel. "I'm trapped...Oh no..." She muttered, staring at them in horror. Pulling out her knife, she pointed it at Daniel, but he seemed far from intimidated by her, so he continued to walk towards her. "JUNIPER! BENJI! RAVEN! HELP!" The girl screamed, panicking inside and out.

Juniper heard her name being called through the trees, and she looked up for the the scream's creator. Melanie! She tore through the trees until she was close enough to see her. Melanie was trapped in between a wall of fire and two hungry careers. There was no way Juniper could attack both of them at once and come out alive. She glanced around, trying to look for her other teammates. If they all attacked, maybe they could get Melanie out, but where were they? It occurred to Juniper that maybe Benji and Raven left them and made their own escape. But why would they do that?

The raging fire definitely helped cover his tracks. He was going to take on Daniel. Hopefully the two girls can get Cassia. As he got closer he readied his axe with his good hand and kept his bad arm close to his body. Once close enough, he jumped on the boy, landing on his back. "NOT MY TEAM!" He screamed and started trying to get hits in.
