aries nearly jumped out of her skin when nora spoke. she hadn't heard the other girl approach, she was so focused on the sound of fighting. "oh! hey, nora, i'm okay, thanks. i just-" aries flinched, lowering her head once more, her hands pressed to her ears. a particularly loud screech piercing her mind. she shuddered, regaining her composure. "sorry, the fighters are clearing the front gate of zombies, and it's-" she flinched again "it's just really loud." aries hated showing weakness to anyone, and she could feel her ears heating up.

marley walked out of an aisle, coming face-to-face with nova. "oh! it's just y-" then she noticed the boy behind her. a stranger. "who the hell is that? and what are you doing here by yourself? you know no one is supposed to leave the camp alone!" marley stepped right up to nova, shoving her face in the other girl's. "what did you say to him?" she jerked her head towards the scared-looking boy behind nova. "you know how dangerous outsiders can be! the last time we trusted a straggler, we almost lost the camp!"

suddenly Marley came out and she narrowed her eyes at the girl. Nova didnt appreciate Marley's invasion of her personal space. She shoved the girl back. "first off, I always come out here on my own cause people cant keep up with me. Secondly, I dont recall you being in ANY rank to sit here and tell me anything or question me like that." there was this gritting of her teeth as she looked at the girl, she does not take kindly to people like marley. Who think they are all big and bad, but really they were just sad and broken. "now maybe if you approached me like a normal human being with common decency, this might have turned out differently, but you came up here like your all big and bad throwing attitude towards me, and not even giving me a chance to say anything." her hands were now balled into fists.
"he doesnt even have a weapon, and he already knew about us, I didnt have to say anything. He was just hiding here and looking for food. Did you expect me to kill him because of the act of one person in the past? Sorry but I still have my humanity, unlike some." she spat. Her anger was linking to her teleportation and she looked a little like she was glitching, but after she was done speaking it settled down a little.

xxxxxxxxNothing thus far. She yawned, holding her hand up to her open mouth then extended it higher to pass a hand through her short blonde locks. Light blue eyes grazed the stretch of pavement then surrounding buildings. Her arms were settled over her chest. If not for standing up she might have even begun to fall asleep. The heat made her eyes heavy and body relaxed. Too bad she didn't sleep much last night. She only got a full nights rest, if capable, three days a week. The rest she spent on guard. She was shot out of her daze when Atlas tapped into her head. She appreciated the ability but it could be of annoyance. "Nope, not- scratch that. I hear fighting inside the gas station. You two stay at camp, please. We can't afford to lose anyone else and I'd hate to see you go especially." Talk about a slip up, she was more out of it then she thought. "Aurora please shut up," she mouthed to herself with an irritated huff. No need to expand on it, she meant because they were friends.
xxxxxxxxWhat was all that commotion? Raised voices, both familiar. Nova? Aurora wasted no time in slamming the door open and letting herself in. She found them with ease thanks to their tone of voice. She sighed and gave the situation a quick once-over. Marley, Nova, Tripp, and a stranger. "What's going on?" Aurora asked calmly, looking between the two girls. She retraced to the stranger and figured it out on her own. "Please stand down both of you. I'm sure anything can hear you in a five mile radius and in case you forgot zombies rely on sound. What's his name? Did you check him for bite marks?"

"Ok I am going to tell you what I think I really dont care at least post what or who you are talking to said we are going they could be in danger and they could need backup and for now I dont care where you are going with or without me Im going and dont tell me not to go because if I get killed in anyone its my fault not youres" Storm was walking with Atlas hoping he said yes so that they could get moving. Storm had this fire in him that felt like he needed to go he didnt know why, but he felt the need to go just in case someone was in trouble.

indentationBenji went wide eyed and pale as a ghost when he saw the new girl approach. "I-I.."He stuttered from behind Nova. He wasn't meaning for it to happen but his instincts kicked in. Slowly he started to fade in and out of reality. His power causing a weird blur around him and Nova. His instincts were telling him to hide, to run, but he was frozen in place. This is the exact opposite of what he wanted. All words were going deaf to his ears as his fight or flight and adrenalin was kicking in. In Benji fashion, he chose flight. He left his power absorb the two of them. Hiding them from Marley and now Aurora as she walked in. "I-I'm..sorry.' He mumbled as he looked at Nova. "H-hide..." Was all he got out before he passed out. His power took too much of his energy. He exhausted him, causing reality to ripple back. Coming back to reality felt like a cold splash of water in a hot shower. Benji didn't feel it, he was out like a light.

Aurora's answer was rather quick. Fighting? he wondered. Then she said her slip up, to him he wasn't exactly sure how to take it. Was it because they are friends? Was it something else? But he didn't push on it at the moment. He was more worried about what was happening at the gas station.
He narrowed his eyes at Storm, what was this sudden outburst about? He had no issue going, he was actually already heading over, he was just seeing if the others were okay, and he only just got a response back. He ignored the boy's outburst and replied simply "I was talking to aurora, they are at the gas station and i guess there is a fight." he said as he picked up the speed of his steps. Aurora may be a skilled at fighting, but he just wanted to make sure she was okay, and of course- the others too.

marley turned on aurora, ready to give the girl a piece of her mind. before she could, she heard a thump behind her. she turned to see the stranger was slumped on the ground, out cold. "great. now he's unconscious." marley turned to tripp, deciding to ignore aurora and nova. "well, since you're a 'fearless leader'" she used air quotations, "what do you say?"

She watched as aurora came in, now there is a large group just standing in the gas station. She was about to tell aurora his name and that she only had JUST met him, but she felt odd. She looked over to Benji, she was being affected by his powers as they flickered, starting to feel a little sick to her stomach again. He apologized, but she wasn't exactly sure what he was apologizing for he did nothing wrong. Then she saw him fall over, feeling like she was in this bubble, then suddenly the bubble popped. She sharply inhaled as reality ripped back to normal. Pushing the hair in her face back as she was sweating. She went to her knees beside him "Benji?" she asked lightly, though still recovering from his powers whiplash. She was hovering over him, he looked pale, and drained. Was this what happens when he overuses his power. She looked over the group as they talked about what to do with him. "What's your guys' problem, a guy goes unconscious, and instead of wondering if he is okay, you sit there and ask yourselves what to do with him?" she asked though her breath was still uneven. She felt sick to her stomach and it wasn't just because of Benji's power.

He narrowed his eyes at Marley, he was growing tired of her attitude and complete disregard of respect towards him. But right now they had bigger things to deal with. He sighed and brought his hand up to the bridge of his nose pinching it slightly, his other arm crossed over his chest. "I....get where both of you are coming from. It was dangerous for nova to come out here on her own and then meet a stranger and not look him over and stuff. But nova is also right...he is still human, but we should take the necessary precautions. So....we will take him to camp so he can get looked at by a medic, but we will have him tied up so when he wakes he cant do nothing...fair?" he asks looking between the two girls.

xxxxxxxxThey had triggered the boy's powers because in a flash, after something she couldn't properly explain, the two disappeared. It proved useless though when they came back, just like that, and he was passed out on the ground with Nova beside him. She quirked a single eyebrow, catching his name when she questioned him. Apparently there would be no time for a once over and they'd just have to hope he didn't turn because he needed a medic. Nova scolded them as if any of them even got a word in after it happened. "Nova, mind you, that was the original plan before your friend freaked out and expelled his energy completely. We'll take him back to camp and have a medic see him. If he turns, well, good luck." Tripp agreed with Nova and reinforced Aurora's proposal of taking him back to camp with an additional idea. "Nova, get him up, I'll go look for some cables." The blonde turned away from the small gathering to go shuffle through wrecked shelves and empty boxes. They'd have to come back for a supply run later, priorities had shifted. She was successful in scrounging something up. It was unlikely to stop a zombie hellbent on killing someone but their options were limited.
xxxxxxxxReturning to the group, she twisted it into makeshift handcuffs and slid them around the boys wrists. "I'm going to go up ahead again to alert you guys of any danger, so Nova you can handle him on your own or Marley and Tripp can help you."

Storm was so hyped up, he didn't know why he just wanted to help and figure out what was happening. He was a fighter after all his job was to protect the team and the base. Atlas was wanting to go and that was nice Storm thought he was going to have to drag Atlas to go. He saw where they were he just didn't know how to get there and if everyone was ok. "Can you also ask whoever you are talking to, to see if everyone is ok?" Storm remembered his past right now he would either be finishing up from school and walking home or be home helping the kids out. That also remembered his adoptive older brother Yougjun or Junnie, did he die? Did he survive? Where was he if he survived? Storm just wanted a friendly voice to hear or an old voice back when he was a kid to hear it would be nice. Or maybe he just needed someone to help him and guide him like his parents, yes they weren't the best but they were still his parents. Then he focused back on the conversation waiting for Atlas to respond.
