Is anyone feeling the CS Spark Fade?

I recently returned after a 3-4 year hiatus and it definitely feels different.
I was unsettled to learn that that list system was dismantled and feel very uncomfortable making high value trades now.
Even the forums I used to peruse are gone now.

There are still kind-hearted people on here that I enjoy chatting with that makes it worth coming back to.

i feel like there's no chance of being friends with anyone on here because there's already so many established friend groups!

also everyone seems obsessed with oekaki and as someone with no ability to draw - i just can't relate

For sure I've been playing for years and just kinda eh
Its toxic now, no chance to try to understand stuff as everyone's just trying to be greedy and make the most of everything.

I'm slowly quitting for art and stuff but even that leads to nastiness sometimes

I've been a part of CS since almost the beginning. I only joined in Oct of 2008 because I was unfamiliar with joining and didnt know if I really wanted to. I knew CS back when it was known as Wolf Kennels.
I still love the pets and art and events, but trading has become a pain for years, since about 2016. People have gotten more and more greedy and the demand/value of person have gone through the roof. Off currency is a big thing and cool for the players that understand that or can afford to spend real money of off site currency. Myself and many others cannot. Honestly, I just hate the trading these days. Even swapping for event pets, many traders want overpay, but wanna underpay you. SMH

I haven’t noticed these cliques but I do know the cs discord is SUPER friendly and welcoming. Most of my Cs friends are from there and I always love making new ones. On cs I tend to make friends through pms here and there but I never keep up with them my self because of personal issues I deal with in socializing. It’s easier if they are if they are on discord tbh so if you’re ever looking for friends or people to talk to about cs I’d recommend the discord!

Yep~ ive actually been thinking about taking another hiatus from CS....or just quit officially.
Trading drives me insane. Hah no one wants to trade, and if they do, they want mass overpay for what Im seeking....its getting pretty annoying running into the same wall over and over again. Where did all the people who appreciate fair trades go?

And just a biiiiiiiiiiiit over rude players. Truly no reason to be rude to somone...especially over pixelated pets? Codes? LOL. More going on out in the world!

i know i haven't been a member of this site for quite as long as some others however i have also been thinking about taking a hiatus and or just quitting.

i find that this game is kinda boring now. the only reason i really come on is to play forum games and even that is getting boring (especially in ban the member above you because they all always say the same things).

i used to really enjoy trading however its so hard to get the pets i want now and its so hard to keep up with what everything is worth. i feel like almost every time i log on the pets are worth different values and i have yet to find someone who will explain everything to me.

also, all my friends from 2015/2016 quit a few years ago and its harder to find new friends so im not sure how much longer ill be sticking around.

i don't think i will ever "quit" cs & trade away my pets though; this site means a lot to me and was a huge part of my childhood & growing up, and ive invested a lot of my time into it.

i think the reason many of us feel that the spark has faded is due to complete lack of well needed updates as well as new features that could keep the site engaging. Especially the wishlist/archive, there are just too many pets at this point to manually add them to your wl & i definitely feel an 'add all' feature would greatly improve user experience.

the events on cs are wonderful - december 18th always had me logging in even when i was inactive - it's just unfortunate they are few and far between. dont get me wrong, i understand that the staff put in a lot of work into our events & i think the work they do is incredible!! i just wish there could be something to fill the gap that isn't trading/oekaki (baring in mind many people don't draw either) that doesn't require much work from the staff (in the way an event might) but i'm a little clueless as to what that could be ngl. anything would be nice. like some sort of minigame? idk either lol

some features i would love to see to help keep the site alive & interesting to both new and old users;

• bimonthly free item releases (like with storepets) as i feel monthly could be a strain on the artists
• leading on from that, i think the store needs some well-needed updating too & we could do with more things to buy
• C$ bank
• some new site themes that aren't holiday/event-based would be lovely to see - i understand we have the greyscale but it feels.. wrong lol. i think having some personalisation would be wonderful
• updated archive/wishlist as mentioned - i think secondary wishlists are well needed at this point too
• maybe a daily C$ login bonus would help keep people coming back?
• a feature to lock/name/delete multiple groups
• id also love to see some options for sorting pet groups, such as sort by litter/rarity/drag and drop kind of thing- this could really help the issue of how rerelease pets display in groups
  

i also feel that establishing the worth of older pets is well needed - it was a shock to me when i returned to find that the list was discontinued. i definitely feel this was a good step but unfortunately almost everyone i have come across are still trading by the list worth so it's extremely difficult to understand the worth of pets anymore and its difficult to trade for them.

I actually love your ideas! We have mentioned in bringing in past even games and it doesn’t have to give us anything.

I can also agree with maybe a log in bonus, Flight Rising has me on it, because then those who can’t afford certain pets/items or even trade for them could spend that time saving up, or just introduce a new currency that we get daily and make the pets/items available to be bought with both currencies, but one could be like more expensive. But I’m 100% on board with your ideas.
