Dawn was a strange thing in the cavern, as it was usually pretty dark until around well into the morning. This was something that Hailgaze was used to at this point, blinking into the darkness of the cave. The milk-hued tom stood on his sturdy legs, before turning his gaze back to his apprentice, Glacierpaw and sighed. It was time to start getting the traveling herbs out. Every cat, from kit and queen to elder, would need them today. While part of him hadn't looked forward to leaving, the other part was excited to go on an adventure. Padding to the grey tabby apprentice he prodded the tom with a paw. "Time to get up, Glacierpaw. We have a busy day ahead of us." He drawled in a cool tone, before turning back to the herbs stashed not far away.

Waking up in the mornings was something that never came easy to Dustshade. Even as an apprentice and kit, waking up anytime before sun-high had been a chore for anyone involved. Thankfully, it wasn't as bad these days. Shaking out his fur as he got out of his nest and out of the warrior's cave, he glanced towards the entrance of the cavern, then to the small waterfall in the distance where the clan got freshwater from. Shaking his head the tom trotted toward the prey pile, picking out a mouse. The prey pile was full, so everyone would probably have enough to eat this morning before they all left. Shaking his head, he turned away from the prey pile and padded toward his usual place to eat.

Breathing in with a half-hearted sigh, the bi-colored eyed she-cat let her eyes lull open to the halfway point. Without much fan-fair, the she-cat got to her paws, and after glancing around the den strolled out of the apprentice's den with a rumbling purr in her throat. Without bothering to look around, the she-cat swaggered over to the prey-pile, picking out a mink and a small fish that the elders could share. Trotting over to the den, she absently thought about the fact that they'd be leaving today. Sealpaw wasn't sure if she wanted to be made a warrior before or after they'd reached the new territory, both seamed amazing. Stopping at the mouth of the elder's den she put down the two pieces of prey and called out. "Streamwhisker, Reedtail, Redblossom! I got a meal you three."

Sleep was something that Redblossom got often, as an elder without much to do anymore, she tended to sleep a lot. Most of the time she was either sleeping, being tended to by apprentices, or telling stories to the clan's kits. Though she saved her favorite stories for her great-grandkids, who weren't even three full moons old yet. Flutterkit was a miniature version of her mother Darkblossom. Tigerkit seemed to be more of a mixture of her father and one of her grandparents. While Falconkit, the only tom-kit was a miniature version of his father, and the toms uncle Dustshade. But either way, there was one thing that most cats new and abided by in the clan. You do not, on pain of death wake up Redblossom.
Sure the old she-cat was a pretty light sleeper, but she was always very grumpy when she didn't wake up naturally. So Sealpaw's call had doomed any in her path to a grumpy Redblossom for a least a few hours. Deep blue eyes snapping open, hearing the echo of an apprentice's voice, she huffed. Taking a short breath to figure out who had disturbed her rest, the old she-cat scowled when she found that it was Sealpaw. Father like daughter She thought, before shaking her head. "Get your loud-mouthed, empty-skulled rump in here, you fish-smelling little piece of snapped, impatiently having smelt the prey the apprentice had brought with her.
