Flitz's tail flicked. "Embers is in trouble!" Flitz sliced through the air to Embers, leaving her egg in Yuki's care.
Gritting her teeth, Flitz slammed into the two dragons with a strategic force that sent them flying. "Embers! What're you doing here?!?"

[Shirafune]

(Retroactive post) Yuki deadpanned, "Flitz, you're talking to a hermit, here... and besides, it never really came up, I think or I didn't feel the need to really expand on my answers."

(Back to present) As Flitz left, Yuki pondered aloud, "Embers' in trouble? Yes... that would make sense if she stayed on kallick territory. Not very smart to be sleeping in enemy territory." She went down to all fours, resting her head on her claws and stared at the egg. She didn't want to touch it because her sub-zero temperature could either kill the baby inside or put it into a cryogenesis state.

Flitz decided to send a thought to Yuki. 'Don't be afraid to touch it. It adapts as easily as me to different things.' Flitz sent.

Whipping her tail, she sent the kallick and erath dragon flying back to the Ice Camp.

(Before Flitz arrived:) "We've been recruited by Apollo, and a good thing we were," snarled the erath dragon, his massive body cracking the ice. "You pathetic fire and wind dragons don't have a chance!" He lunged forward, enormous claws slashing for her face. Embers snapped her head to the side, the claws missing her face by inches. She flashed out her own claws, but before they met their target a bright flash of color bowled into the dragon, sending him spinning across the ice.

Embers stood, dazed, watching Flitz battle the erath dragon. She saw movement out of the corner of her eye and saw the ice dragon heading for her friend's neck. In one leap, Embers leapt over the other two dragons and fastened her teeth in the ice dragons throat. Sluggish, ice-cold blood welled out. She leapt back shaking her head in disgust, then racked the sharp claw on the tip of her wing across the eyes of the kallick dragon. She stepped back, panting, as the two attackers fled back towards their camp. She turned her bloodied her to Flitz.

Yuki received Flitz telepathic thought. She blew a breathe of cold air at the egg, watching it rock gently back and forth. She then proceeded to poke/tap at it lightly with her claw. She sniffed it and it smelled like it was still alive and not dead nor frozen. She grabbed the egg with her hands, moved her body to face the entrance of the cave and positioned the egg in the crook of her neck. She watched the entrance of the cave.

Flitz, seeing the blood, dug in the ice until she found an abundance of herbs. Muttering as she healed, Flitz pressed the poultices on after a small burst of healing magic was applied. (The poultices are simply to reduce scarring.) Flitz quietly breathed warm flames over her friend to ease the coldness. "You should get back to forath. Your queen could be in danger."

Flitz swiftly flew back to her kallick cave, her nonexistent wounds obviously...still not there?

Yuki heard the echoing of flapping wings from the entrance of the cave and wrapped her tail around the egg and moved it behind her, tail still wrapped around. She raised her head, looking expectantly.

Flitz landed in the cave mouth, automatically looking for her egg.

"Thanks," murmured Embers. She had hardly any wounds at all, it was mostly the blood from the ice dragon. Shaking her head in disgust again, she rolled around in the snow to wash it off. Standing up, feeling rather deep frozen, she took Flitz's advice and leapt into the air, heading on a bee-line towards home. Only when she was a few wingbeats away did she remember why she had come at all- namely to find Flitz. She half turned around in order to go back, but figured that she would not last long out there. Sighing, she flew to a pool of bubbling water, a hot spring, and lay down in it covering her from head to toe. Once I warm up I'll go find Queen Thorissia, was her last thought as she drifted into a sleep-like trance, as her battered body soaked up the intense heat a pure blood forath like her needed to live.

Fetching her egg, Flitz smiled happily at Yuki. "Yuki, thanks for looking after it. Gotta go!" Flitz flew to a warm spring, where as she was dunking it, noticed a dark figure. Embers. Flitz gently touched her friend's scales, and then shook her. Even for a forath dragon, too much soaking isn't good. Flitz prodded the egg, searching for weak points. When she was satisfied it was still strong, Flitz introduced it to the ocean.
