Blizzardclaw listened to Fidgetpaw and licked their ear once. "It's alright Fidgetpaw, you're still learning why don't you follow me and watch? But always make sure as seasons change to avoid anything on the ground that will make a sound such as leaves or branches," he told the apprentice, "or would you rather just try to see if you can catch it? I know you can do it, I've seen you carry one into camp before." He tried being encouraging despite not being the mentor of the apprentice, he liked giving them hope and extra help when they need it.

Spottedcloud sighed as she watched Ripplefang go on to head over to Cloudstar, debating on going over with him but knew she would rather spend some time with Tinymask while she could. Especially since it seemed like him and Tempestwatcher weren't having a pleasant conversation from what she saw from Tinymask's body language, he probably needed an escape. Before heading over to the two of them she grabbed a piece of food from the pile as she had been told from Ripplefang on the way back into camp. After selecting a piece of food that could feed both her and also Tinymask, she went over to the two warriors. "What are you tow arguing about now?"

Snowpetal frowned when Dovekit responded back in that tone but ignored it as she continued to gently lick her kits head until Swankit had went on to pounce onto him. "Swankit," she sighed out and shook her head at her, getting her off of him. "He's trying to sleep my sweet, when he wakes up we'll get you both some food or maybe even your father will bring some to us."

She looked after the younger cat, trying to figure out what he wanted as tom didn't really like to speak, so she didn't really wait for an answer. She looked over as the border patrol got back to the camp, she felt relieved always when border patrols come back unhurt and alive, she didn't really know why though maybe all the cats who died during their trip little bit traumatized her "I guess the territory is safe, so let's go then" she meowed to Rainpaw.

He brought the squirrel back to the place where he buried his earlier catches, dropping the prey down he looked over at Blizzardclaw and Fidgetpaw "Blizzardclaw? Do you mind if I take the preys back to camp? My mouth is not that big to carry any more of them" he meowed to the deputy. His eyes looked around for the younger warrior Pinefur who come with them but didn't see the tom, probably he was still hunting somewhere.

She shook her head to Spottecloud "no, weäre just chatting nothing else" she meowed to her sister, giving a quick look toward Tinymask "So was everything alright on our territory? It was border patrol I think?" she meowed to her, changing the subject as she thought Tinymask didn't want to talk about his thinks with her sister.

Eyes scanning Cloudstar's expression, he waited for the tom to speak first. "Not today, although we still caught traces of their scent," Ripplefang explained and wrinkled his nose in memory. He disliked the smell of them, which was sickly sweet and artificial. The silver Bengal especially disliked the bells around their neck and how they often had a yellow ball attached to it, ringing every time it swayed as they walked. Those cats also walked with their head and tail held high, their plump bellies hanging low compared to the rest. "Would you like a patrol to check again later?"

Cloudstar thought for a moment. While none of those banded cats were on the territory at the present moment, he knew that they would keep coming if no intervention was taken. He growled lightly, not entirely sure what to do. "Perhaps I can have Blizzardclaw send one at sunset, just to be safe," he said. Cloudstar hated to put extra work on his deputy, but it didn't feel right to let the borders go unguarded when the outsider's scents still hung in the air. "Anyway, thanks for your hard work Ripplefang. I appreciate it." The leader smiled, dipping his head in respect for the senior warrior.

After he dismissed the conversation, Cloudstar got up and made his way over to the fresh-kill pile, picking up a plump squirrel. His heart swelled with excitement. After he would be done doing his morning duties, the leader always tried to make time for his mate and children. With the squirrel in his jaws, the tom padded over to the nursery and poked his head in, "Rise and shine!" he exclaimed after he set the fresh-kill in front of Snowpetal. He was startled to see Swankit's tiny body splayed on top of Dovekit, "Swankit," he chuckled, "What are you doing?"

SwanKit grinned when DoveKit couldn't get her off himself and she stuck her tongue out at him. She felt her mother nudge her off of him and she reluctantly obeyed. She pouted when CloudStar came in and asked her what she was doing, She couldn't verbally explain that it was DoveKit's fault for waking her up in the first place and it was frustrating. Instead, she kicked DoveKit a bit harshly with her back paw when she noticed him grinning.

They glanced down at the ground looking side to side as they weighed the options, the clan needed prey and BlizzardClaw would probably have a better chance of catching it but they also needed the practice plus the two of them weren't the only ones hunting so if they did miss hopefully it wouldn't be a big deal.
They nodded their head, finally coming to the decision "I..I'll t-try to catch it. A-after all, there's only one way to get better right?" they spoke and gave a small slightly awkward smile. Their gaze traveled over to Mushroomshard and questioned how the tom could already be done hunting, maybe FidgetPaw was just slow? They shook that thought away and turned their attention back towards the squirrel who thankfully has yet to move much.
The apprentice crouched down as the occasional breeze blew towards them and they didn't need to worry about their scent wafting over towards the squirrel. Carefully, they started making their way towards the squirrel trying to avoid any fallen branches. However, they failed to notice one and it made a snapping noise as their weight broke it. The squirrel perked up and quickly ran to safety.
FidgetPaw felt their pelt heat up in embarrassment and shame, they should of just allowed BlizzardClaw to catch it "S-sorry...." They spoke up but their gaze kept to the ground and they pawed the twig that made them lose the squirrel.
