Jaws dargged James into the pound, and his owner looked at the knocked out Jamesm grinning evilly.
"Good work, Jaws," his owner said. "You'll eat good tonight!"
Jaws smiled an evil smile, as his owner threw James into a cage in the pound.
James was thrown against the wall, and he woke up from the blow.
"Oww! Where am I?" he asked himself.
When he realized where he was, he wasn't happy.
"What happened?!" he asked himself. "I was looking for food and then..... and then.... I WAS KNOCKED OUT! Oh no, I've got to escape! If I don't, I won't ever see Shasta again because somebody will adopt me! Then, I'll be forced to be abandoned again my another owner, and then I'll never see Shasta again!"
"The game is
coming to its end."
"Our future starts
tomorrow at dawn."
"Snow has to pay
for what he's done."
"Our lives were
never ours. They
belong to Snow,
and our deaths
do too. But if you
kill him, if you
end all of this,
all those deaths
mean something."
"Tonight, turn your
weapons to the
Capitol! Turn your
weapons to Snow!"

Raz settled down in one corner of the cave eyes looking at other dogs.
Blue stood up smacking her jaws. Thirst burned in the puppies throat and she walked over to a small puddle on the street. She began to lap at it.
Fawn took off another chunk of meat.

Nancy walked over to Blue.
"You need any help, little one?" she asked him.

Fawn pushed the rabbit away and dozed off.
Nancy explained everything and waited for Blue's replie of wheather he'd come to the cave with her or not.

"Sure!" Blue sounded cheerful and happy though inside she felt wary. Older, bigger dogs always gave her a small shiver and especially if that dog asked her to go to a cave with her with no witnesses. Blue flicked up her ears. She could of refused but she didn't. Curiosity kills the dog, she remembered her best friend, Pippin saying. A sharp blow hit her heart and it sank. She remembered the awful day when her and Pippin were trotting along. It was warm out and the dew sparkled on the leaves. The air was fresh and crisp smelling of Fall. They were wandering a old place with broken houses with sunken roofs and lost singles. We came to one house, everything quite. The glass was broken and the wood rotting. This was at the end of the old place and the last thing Blue was expecting was a car. The road was silent and no one was in site. The only smell was the rotting wood and the only audible sound was a tweet of a bird. She had turned to her Black Lab friend seeing him panting and kneeling over in hunger. She remembered feeling that way. She saw a puddle across the street. "Hey Pip! Lets go to that puddle." They usually avoided crossing the road unless they had to but now everything looked set. Pippin had nodded and broke into a drunken run limping. Then out of no were slicing beams cut through the rays of sun and a large truck swooped Pippin into the air not slowing. "Pippin!" Blue remembered screeching as she darted to her friend after the truck had disappeared. Pippin's broken body had been motionless and bloody. Blue had known from the moment the truck hit him he was going to be dead but she clung to the last string of hope. That string broke leaving her all alone. She had let out a mournful howl and dragged the limp body of her best friend to the sidewalk. Blue jerked out of her memories afraid her heart might snap if she thought to deeply about the mournful day.
Fawn stood up and bounded through a thick area littered with trees. Squirrels scurried and birds hummed a sad song. Leaves sprinkled down onto her back and she let out a carefree laugh. Fawn thought letting go once in a while was good and right now she felt like her heart was flying.
Raz rolled onto his back staring at the cave roof. Blinking as a soggy drop of old water dripped into his eyes he flipped back over his nose crinkling. His fur was some what damp due to the soft drip of the cave water. His ear were pricked and alert his tail curled protectively around his haunches. He felt knowing at all times was better then not knowing, or trust. His trust was very hard to earn and the only way to earn it was to become a trustworthy friend. Pushing him made him go under pressure and when that happened it was possible that his string of trust might tighten and snap and he might bite, or worse, kill. Raz was usually peaceful and didn't enjoy fighting but if that was the only way to let his anger or his pressing patients then to him its so be it. He remembered he lost it one day when he was with an old friend. Doug was the pitbull's name. Doug was friendly and sweet never would curl his lip back. He was trustworthy and Raz knew that but Doug was old. Doug slowed him down when he was in a hurry and ate too much. On day Doug complained on and on about the deary weather. Raz thought it was more comfortable traveling in the coolness but everyone has their own opinion. Then when Raz's string of patient was so tight it could snap at any moment, Doug said something that said it off. In the midst of all the intolerable complaining, Doug come's out and says, 'I'm hungry.' Raz had been trying so hard to keep them fed and watered and safe and these two thoughtless words costed Doug his life. Raz snapped away from the memory pain searing his heart like fire. But all he could think was, 'Doug deserved it.'
