away from the Rainwing. As much as he hated to admit it, annoying this rainwing was a decent
bit of fun.

Tanager felt a little twinge of jealously at the thought of her parents being fine with her coming. They probably were so excited and gave her lots of love before she left. He shook his head slightly to get rid of those thoughts. Who cares if his parents didn’t want him? He had a bright future ahead of him. At least that is what Palm told him.

He had to admit, he had forgotten about the other Rainwing. He hoped that she was nice and not lazy or rude, like that Caribou. He probably wouldn’t be able to stand another grumpy dragon. So far, Rainwings seemed pretty nice. Though, now he had only met one.

At her question he gave a start. About him? Well there wasn’t much to tell. He would tell her the best version. The half truth version. Dragons wouldn’t like him if they knew his own parents cast him out.

“Well I live down in the multi-Tribe city by the desert. I live with a nice shopkeeper named Palm, she gives me food and shelter in exchange for work. So, I am the manager of her small shop which sells all sorts of fabrics. And yep. Pretty boring. I was lucky to be chosen to come here,” He looked around then looked back at Freesia. “And lucky to meet you.” He wiggled his eyebrows at her and then winked with his signature smile.

She put the scroll on snakes into her bag and moved on. She then caught word about nightwing powers and turned into the next aisle.
"So nightwings really do have powers?" She said leaning against the shelf.

freesia smiled again at tanager's remark. she was glad that he was friendly and they seemed to be getting along well. if she, mamba and tanager were able to get along, maybe caribou would not be a problem. although she still wanted to ask tanager questions about his background and where he came from, she decided to keep her mouth shut because she didnt know how much he was comfortable with sharing.

freesia's stomach growled, putting an end to her thoughts.

"so, do you want to go and explore the school? maybe we could go find the cafeteria and see if its open?"

Tanager chuckled to himself a little as he heard her stomach growl. To be honest, he was glad for the distraction. And there was a cafeteria here? Where you could just eat for free? He felt like a rich dragon! Back at Palm’s he had to work for food! He jumped up with excitement and spun towards the entrance, before remembering that he needed to be cool.

“Yes! Let’s go!” He then tried to calm himself and laughed a big, booming laugh. “Sorry, I guess I am just excited by ADVENTURE and FOOD!” Right now he didn’t care that he was acting a little weird. There was food to be eaten and exploring to be done! And with a girl...

freesia laughed along with tanager as she got up off the bed and walked to the entrance. the hallways of the school were a little confusing. freesia struggled with the map, feeling a little bit frustrated and worried that maybe tanager would form the opinion that she was just another dumb rainwing. she sighed again as they came across an intersection of the hallways. "do you know which way to go?"

"it means that a dragon had both mind reading and fortune telling, but they're more powerful," caelum replied. he glanced around the library, but it was almost empty and it didnt look like there was anything to do. "where do you guys wanna explore now?"

Tanager walked with Freesia as the Rainwing looked at the map. He was glad she understood it, the whole thing looked like someone just scribbled on a perfectly good piece of parchment. He tried peering at it, but had no luck. Tanager looked at Freesia. She looked confused too.

Soon they came upon an intersection and Tanager heard Freesia let out a sigh. She didn’t know which way. Well neither did Tanager. He was still peppy and saw this as an opportunity to get to know Freesia more.

“Nope! Let’s go this way!” He pointed a claw to the right side and confidently strutted down the tunnel. He turned back to Freesia motioning her to follow. “My gut knows where to go!” They were probably going to get lost, but who cares?

After reassuring her family members that everything would be fine, Truthseeker walked politely around other talking dragonets until she reached the scroll on the wall. "So I'm with four other dragons, that will definitely be a bit crowded. Maybe I should go check out the library before meeting with them. Scrolls won't overly question or pester me about my power. Besides, I only have this little haworthia with me," Truthseeker thought, looking down at the dark green & white potted plant in her right claw. After carefully checking the map on the wall, she hurried over to the library entrance while also hearing...some angry thoughts? There was a deep green Rainwing giving a look and matching thoughts like she wanted to explode all over the nearby, smug Icewing. "Never heard of a Rainwing getting this angry before. But with an Icewing around, the basic laws of the universe don't seem to work," Truthseeker concluded. "What exactly is going on? I thought Icewings reserved their elaborate insults for Nightwings, not the...ferocious Rainwings," she asked them, briefly pausing to think of an adjective that wouldn't escalate the current conflict.
