"I don’t know. With some luck, it’ll be a while until they’re here. They’ll grow up and follow the paths that have been laid out for them." Cobalt bowed his head. "In the end, all paths are dealt in hand by the eldest wolves of Starris, Karnt and Lexi. They chose these things to happen. You’ll stay here with us, little Rain, and one day, your brothers will be up here, I’m sure." As far as he knew, the wolves who'd come from Maple's bloodline had always had good in them. She’d borne three litters, and all of the survivors had turned out good.

"I’m so sorry, little one. I’m sorry things took this turn, but you’ll be well cared for here. You can swim, and drink from the moss, and there will be other Pups to play with," Cobalt told her.

RAIN’s little eyes widened slightly and her tail had stopped wagging, the life seeming to have been knocked out of her for a second. “Mum told me about this place... does that mean I’m dead?” She asked, her voice trembling. OCTAVIA creepy closer to the younger wolf, slightly wrapping around her for comfort. “Yes... but in a way, you’ll have a happier and fun life up here” she muttered softly.

"I’m so sorry, little one. That is the case," Cobalt agreed. "In the eyes of the earth-dogs, anyway. I don’t think there’s any such thing as true death, because when a good wolf passes on, they come here, where it’s never cold, even when it snows- so you can play in it all you want- the waters are always clear and cool, and prey never runs short. We can’t die a second time." Well we can, but we just regenerate someplace away from the fight.

Rain had more than one choice, but she knew so little of the living world. He wasn’t eager to present her with the choices for fear in a moment of panic, she might make the wrong one. Cobalt knew from the look on Octavia's face, and the softness in Rain's eyes that it was for the best she was here, in the care of an adoptive mother.

OOC: Sounds like Valhalla... Alita will love this, if she dies.

OOC: XD Planning on that?

OOC: Man, I can't kill Alita... I'm pretty sure she's going to live out a full life, and only die when it's necessary. As my first character, and one I wasn't planning on killing off when I made her, I don't think I'd be able to do that. I get emotionally attached to my characters a lot... x_x

OOC: Man I feel ya. I just threw a bunch of random wolves here. I think the only of my charries here that've actually DIED and jumped from the main RP thread to here are Fish, Aiyana, and Acero, and I don’t even use Aiyana much.

ATHENA felt worry pricking at her pelt, and she lifted her head to look up at Cobalt. “Why don’t we all introduce this little one to the others?” She asked Rain in a happy voice, her eyes darting to Cobalt. RAIN felt a strange, sad emotion pricking at her heart. “Oh... I can make a life here then!” She squeaked softly.

"That’s exactly it," Cobalt agreed, gently nudging Rain. "You’ll have a new life here, and one day your family will be here too," he promised. He glanced at Octavia and nodded. "I think Fang left Anna and Merida in the meadow? Those are the youngest Pups we have here so far."

OCTAVIA stood up and shook off her grass covered starry pelt. “Come on little one, let’s go say hi to everyone” she told Rain. The shy little pup waddled after Octavia, making sure to keep up. She slipped under her legs shyly. Octavia laughed and gently touched her nose to the pup.
