Speaking of which, should I write up a relations chart
for my chars or naw?

@everyone; alright, all my culminating assignments/projects are done so I can finally start role playing. Sorry for the delay guys - I know it's been awhile since I decided to be leader for root clan. Hopefully I'll be able to get my cats up and make my first post in the very near future ;-;

With all that said and done, I think I'll reveal the plans for the main event that triggers the prophecy in about a week (depends on how fast the role play goes). I think that will give everyone time to figure out their characters and have some fun writing without having to worry about any major plot lines c:

a stoic and intimidating tomcat with sharp words and sharper claws. thornjaw is known for being an imposing force within the clan, looming on the outskirts and observing happenings silently. he has been hardened by a rough kithood and early apprenticeship, but thornjaw has always been a bit aloof and standoffish which in the end happened to become his namesake. he does not talk about his parents, who both were lost to the recent fire, nor his siblings.

deathly loyal to his clanmates, he would be the first to put himself in the line of fire for his clan and would do just about anything to see them thrive. this fact is often overshadowed however, many instead knowing him for his cold, abrasive, and unfriendly nature which is more noticeable. he is a young warrior, but that doesn't mean that he should be underestimated or that he doesn't still strive to hone his skills.

when he was younger, honeythroat was often a sickly cat. it was not much of a surprise considering he was the runt of his litter, and had a hard time shoring up to the other kits in the nursery. what was a surprise, however, was how much fight the tiny kit managed to muster. it was because of this stubbornness that he managed to overcome his reoccurring illness and make it out of his kithood. even so, due to this he developed as a fairly weak and small cat. it wasn't viable to throw him into the life of a warrior.

and so during his apprentice ceremony, honeythroat was taken as the medicine cat apprentice. he was enthusiastic and excited, having spent a good deal of his life in and out of the medicine cat den anyways. herbs and their uses had always been fascinating to him. over time, he developed into a kind and friendly tomcat who just wants to help his clan in the way that he knows how.

originally found as an abandoned kit on the outskirts of rootclan's territory, minnowpaw has had a hard time fitting in. unbeknownst to her she was the result of a cross-clan relationship, with her mother being of reefclan and perhaps the reason she has inherited their stereotypical webbed paws and tolerance for water. the reason for her abandonment is unknown. after being found by a patrol, she was brought back and considering there were already queens with kits of their own in the nursery, some of a similar age, she was worked in.

minnowpaw is fairly shy and reserved, a bit softspoken but with a good heart. rootclan is all that she has known and so despite some of the sideways glances she may get considering she was not born into the clan itself, she'd never think twice before swearing her loyalty. she wants nothing more than to just fit in, and she tries her best to get along with the other apprentices now that she has had her apprentice ceremony. honest, friendly, and patient, minnowpaw is hopeful for the future and for her clan-- although she does have some difficulty when it comes to navigating the clans arboreal lifestyle.

Your cats are all accepted! I'll add them to the front and choose mentors shortly. You can make your first posts whenever you'd like but I want to ask you to hold off on writing for your apprentices until I've had the time to sort out who will be mentoring them.
