I vaguely remember the first time a saw him, and though it's all rather a blur I can distinctively remember
that His hair was messing and had the habit of hanging in front of his face.

And his smile... His smile was something I knew I could always find comfort in.
And it was in his smile that I felt safe.
I knew he'd always be there for me whenever I needed him. And I knew that he'd never hurt me.
My most precious friend... My dearest brother.

Even though I was just a baby when I first saw him, Aka had an unforgettable smile.
A smile that could never be erased from my mind.
He had this way of lightning up a room, and making people feel safe and wanted.
He's truly a wonderful person l, and I'm grateful to have him by my side.


I stood silently, trying to hold my breath as my heart began to race.
Closer... Closer... Closer he came. I could practically hear the sound of his feet stepping on the fallen leaves as he drew near.

My heart beated fast in my chest as I clutched the neck of my shirt and tried to peer over the bushes.
Closer... Closer... Closer he came, every inch of me shook with fright as I tried to calm myself.
"I have to keep calm... I have to calm down... Do not screw this up Midori! You can do this... You can do this..." taking a deep breath I slowly pushed myself up slightly to take a nother look over the bushes when suddenly I felt a small tickle going up my back. Stiffening my body I slowly began to turn around when to hands shot in front of my cover my eyes." gyaaaaaa!!!" throwing myself to my feet I clumsily tripped forward falling head first into the bushes. "Midori!"

Hearing the familiar voice I angrily burst my head out with a hard glare as my eyes rested on Aka who was standing over me with his hand stretched out and a gentle smile on his face. "Aka! You jerk you're supposed to find me, not scare me!" after helping me up I watched as Aka let out a soft laugh before pulling a few twigs from my hair. "I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself you were so vulnerable! And. Have to admit you look pretty cute when you scream like that" "Aka!" crossing my arms alet out a small huff before meeting his gaze once more to see his warm smile that he'd always give me. "alright, alright. You're right it wasn't really nice of me to do that, I'm sorry." I gave him a teasing smile before slowly stepped out of the bushes and giving my pants a quick pat down before gazing up at him.

Aka wasn't like most male kalons, he always seemed to have this charming personality.
He was always considered of others, and was nothing more then respectful.
He was a kind man, a dependable son, and a terrific brother, and most of all he was the perfect friend.
Ever since I was little Aka had always been by mi side teaching me things, and showing me places I never knew. He was patient with me, and was always there when I needed him, he was the one person I felt like I could always talk to when I needed to. i honestly don't recall a time that we ever fought. We were like the perfect pair.

"watch ya looking at?" distracted by his voice I slowly blinked back into reality before meeting his gaze.
"uh?" "oh I get it! You're just jealous because you're older brothers better looking that you can't help but stare with envy"
"what! No way!" Immediately my face burden red with embarrassment, as I quickly turned away with my cheeks puffed out.
"in your dreams! I'd never be jealous of you! If anything I was feeling sorry for how you look" "what?!" shocked by the sudden sadness in my brothers voice I quickly turned to face him only to be met with a pathetic attempt of a puppy dog face. "are you saying I'm not charming?" giving a slight twitch of my ear I only looked at him with a face of annoyance as he proceeded to stare at me with his big teary eyes. "really that's the best face you can do? No wonder you always lose to mom" letting out a small laugh I watched as he pushed himself up and gave his hands a small pat before giving my hair a small ruffle. "yeah your brother has never been one for giving the guilt trip face. Unlike you" "hay!" grabbing a hold of his hand I gave him a teasing punch before watching him sarcastically drop to the ground. "oh! It's to much! Sir she's just to powerful! I-I can't go on.... GOOD BY CRUEL WORLD!" letting out a laugh a slow stepped over him and gentle sat on his stomach and watched as he proceeded to to close his eyes.

"wow.. Dramatic much." letting out a nother laugh I slowly reached my hand out and began to mess with his hair as it dangled in his face before letting out a sigh. "your a nut you know that" watching as he slowly opened his eyes I let out a nother sigh before taking ahold of his hand. "but your a fun nut..."

Suddenly Aka sat up and wrapped his arms around me and let out a long deep breath. "your not half bad yourself.... In fact your pretty great" suddenly I felt a wave of exhaustion run over me as I sat there.
Perhaps it was from all the running around, or perhaps it was from the day coming to an end... Or perhaps it's because I'm being held in my brother's arms. But suddenly I felt myself being lifted up as Aka stood up.
"let's go home..."

Giving my head a small nod I slowly clutched his shirt in my hand as I slowly gazed up at him with a warm smile. "ok... You big nut"

I'll never forget the first time I saw her,
She was such a small thing, and so fragile.

I remember my mother telling me to be careful as to not scare her with my excitement.
She was so small and so innocent, but more importantly she was mine. Mine to protect.
And I wasn't going to let anything, or anyone hurt her.

For she was my precious Friend, my precious little sister.

It's actually pretty easy for me to remember when Midori was first born,
I'll never forget how small and adorable she was.
And I'll never forget the joy I felt when I fully realthat I would be a big brother and that I'd have her to protect and love. Just by looking at her I knew she was something special.


"24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30! Ready or not here I come!"
Opening my eyes I let out a deep breath before gazing about the area.
If Midori was smart she'd know to go a bit further then were we first started wuch was good for her, but bad that I was already one step ahead of her.

As I continued to walked through the forest with my eyes glued to every inch I suddenly came to a stop when a familiar tail caught my eye. There hidden in the bushes a few feet in front of me sat Midori.
I was honestly shocked by how poor of a place she chose to hide considering her tail was sticking straight out for all to see. And yet an evil part of me saw this as an opportunity.

Stealthily sneaking out if sight a grabbed a near by branch before sneaking up on her.
It was the perfect opportunity with her back to me as she carefully tried to look for were I was.
Sadly she wouldn't be expecting to find me be her.
Taking the stick in my hand a gentle poked it at the bottom of her back and proceeded to move it up words until her whole body froze with fright.
I had to practically stop breathing just to hold in my laugh as I watched her slow turn to face me.
"gyaaaaaa!!!" with a tell of surprise I watched as my poor sister jumped to her feet with fright fall head first, in to the bushes. "Midori!" instantly a wave of guilt waved over me... Guilt from wanting to laugh so bad.


As I rushed into the bushes after her I was suddenly met with and angry expression as Midori popped her head out and glard at me. Giving her a small smile I slowly reached my hand out to her in hopes that she wouldn't be to angry at me. "Aka! You jerk you're supposed to find me, not scare me!" at this point I could help but let out a laugh as she had many twigs stuck in her hair although I did feel pretty bad for scaring her. "I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself you were so vulnerable! And. Have to admit you look pretty cute when you scream like that" "Aka!" I watched as she crossed her arms and let out a small huff of annoyance which was nothing less then adorable. I couldn't help but grow a smile as I looked at her with my heart feeling with warmth. "alright, alright. You're right it wasn't really nice of me to do that, I'm sorry."

And just like Midori, she gave me a teasing smile, before stepping out of the bushes and gave her pants a small pat. Midori was a kind girl and no matter how much I picked on her I knew she'd never truly get angry, because that's not the kind of girl she is, she's kind, and sweet, and a well behaved girl. She loves to be adventurous and as far as I can tell she loves it when I teach her new things about the world.
She’s just such a beautiful young girl that I can't wait to see grow and start a life of her own.
Finding myself getting lost in thought I slowly gazed down to see her looking at me with a face of Wonder.
What was she thinking? Filling with curiosity I slowly turned to face her with a puzzled look on my face.
"watch ya looking at?"

"uh?" As if I interrupted something important Midori gave her eyes a slowly blinked before looking at me equally confused. And it was at that moment I couldn't help but see a nother window of an opportunity to mess with her. "oh I get it! You're just jealous because you're older brothers better looking that you can't help but stare with envy am I right"
And just as expected her face turned red almost instantly. "what! No way!" and within a minute she turned her back to me and puffed out her cheeks, which I found to be adorable.
"in your dreams! I'd never be jealous of you! If anything I was feeling sorry for how you look" I couldn't help but let out a low laugh as I watched her. It was clear that I had embarrassed her, especially since her face turned so red. At this point I had no choice but to continue to mess with her, and I knew exactly how to do it.

"what?!" I tried to push the sadist voice I could before dropping to my knees and giving a sad puppy face. Midori turned to face me with a face of concern. "are you saying I'm not charming?" instantly after speaking her face changed to a look of full annoyance. And she only stood there with her ere twitching as she glared at me. "really that's the best face you can do? No wonder you always lose to mom"
Aaand she got me. Letting out a small laugh I pushed myself up before giving her hair a smile ruffle.
"yeah your brother has never been one for giving the guilt trip face. Unlike you" "hay!"
I couldn't help but laugh even more when Midori unexpectedly grabbed my hand and threw me a fake punch. Instantly I placed both my paws over my chest before dropping to the ground in unter defeat.
"oh! It's to much! Sir she's just to powerful! I-I can't go on.... GOOD BY CRUEL WORLD!"
Soon the sound of her laughter filled the air and it wasn't long until she sat on my stomach to watch my final moment before closing my eyes.

"wow.. Dramatic much." she let out a nother laugh before slowly messing with my hair that had already fallen in front of my face. Suddenly she let out a sigh and letting go of my hair "your a nut you know that"
Slowly I opened my eyes to meet her gaze before watching her let out a nother sigh and take a hold of my hand. "but your a fun nut..."

My heart instantly filled with warmth and I couldn't help but sit up and wrap my arms around her as tight as I could. "your not half bad yourself.... In fact your pretty great."
Suddenly I felt as Midori suddenly began to go limp in my arms and I new that it was time for the two of us to head back. After all I still hato look out for her. Slowly standing up I glanced down at her with a smile before moving forward "let's go home..."
I watched as she gave her head a small nod before meeting my gaze with a smile of her own
"ok... You big nut"

Aka and Midori have been together for as long as the two can remember,
Not only were they brother and sister but they were also the best of friends.

They grew up in a nice home that was centered in a village that sat by a forest.
Together they lived with both their parents. And together lived a life that was peaceful and happy.
I life filled with love, joy and comfort.



The forest echod with laughter as Aka counted to himself with his eyes closed.
They had just started a final game of hind and seek and Midori was well on her way to find a place to hide.
The two had been playing in the woods for some time now, and she had yet to win a single game, so this time she was filled with determined as she ran through the forest.

"Ready or not here I come!" just then the sound of Akas voice could be heard for over the distance.
Midori let out a gasp as she relieved she was out of time and quickly ducked down behind some brushes with her heart racing. "I have to keep calm... I have to calm down... Do not screw this up Midori! You can do this... You can do this..." trying to talk herself out of panicking. Midori slowly began to peer out from over the bushes for any sign of her brother.

Luckily for Aka he had already seen Midori from further away and was already on the move to scare her from behind. Grabbing a near by stick he slowly walked up from behind her well she had her back turned and proceeded to tickle her for behind. Almost instantly Midori froze with pure fear and slowly turned around before letting out a loud yell. "gyaaaaaa!!!" jumping to her feet she began to flail her arms before falling head first into the bushes with her brother laughing after her. "Midori!" Aka quickly stepped in to help his sister up before being surprised by her suddenly popping out with a hard glar on her face.
"Aka! You jerk you're supposed to find me, not scare me!" at this point Aka couldn't hold it in and began to laugh once more as he looked at his sister. Once he helped her up he began to pull a few twig from her face still with a smile on his face. "I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself you were so vulnerable! And. Have to admit you look pretty cute when you scream like that"

"Aka!" feel a bit angry by her brothers prank, Midori crossed her arms over her chest and let out a small huff be for meeting her brothers gaze that was filled with warmth.
Aka had a particular smile, one that he only gave Midori, it was his way of saying he loved her without actually saying the words, and it was with this smile that Midori found herself unable to stay mad at him.
"alright, alright. You're right it wasn't really nice of me to do that, I'm sorry." lettout a sigh Midori shot Aka a teasing smile before stepping out of the bushes.
Just like Aka, Midori had her own way of say thin to Aka without actually saying anything.
And her teasing smile was just one of them. It was kind of like say we're good, but in her own way.

Midori carefully stepped out of the bushes with a bit of help from her brother before taking a moment to pat of her pants. It was at that moment the two began to reflect on one another and recall the many moments they shared. Course the other didn't know what they was thinking it was still a nice moment.

During this moment Aka could help but notice his sister gazing at him as she got lost in thought and saw it as a perfect opportunity to mess with her one more. So after hatching up a quick plane he slowly turned to face her with a smile. "watch ya looking at?" as if just noticing the thing around her Midori began to blankly blink before meeting Aka's gaze. "uh?"
Aka was practically on the Verge of passing out as he Tryed his best to keep a straight face as he looked at his sister. "oh I get it! You're just jealous because you're older brothers better looking that you can't help but stare with envy" "what! No way!" immediately Midori filled with embarrassment as she realized that her brother caught her looking at him. And there was no way she could give in and tell him that she thought if him as a terrific brother! It would only give him a nother reason to pick on her.
Feel a bit flustered she quickly turned from him and puffed out her cheeks before trying to come up with an excuse. "in your dreams! I'd never be jealous of you! If anything I was feeling sorry for how you look"

"what?!" suddenly the sound in Aka's had changed, it sounded sad which began to worry Midori for fear that she actually hurt his feelings. Turning to face him Midori was in full shock and rage to find him on his knees with a pathetic puppy dog expression on his face. "are you saying I'm not charming?"

At this point Midori was at a loss for words and could only respond with an irritated ear twitch as she looked at him. "really that's the best face you can do? No wonder you always lose to mom" Midori could help but laugh as her brothers face changed into one of defeat.
It was true that Aka didn't really get away with much being that he was older but he still couldn't help but give especially if it's to try and mess with his sister.
Pushing himself to his feet Aka gave Midori's hair a small ruffle "yeah your brother has never been one for giving the guilt trip face. Unlike you" "hay!" with a playful laugh, Midori reached up and grabbed Aka's hand before throwing him a fake punch that he proceeded to act to by dropping yo the ground.

Midori let out a laugh before stepping over top of him and sitting on his stomach as he continued to play dead, with the final touch of closing his eyes. "wow.. Dramatic much." letting out a nother laugh she slowly began to play with Aka's hair that had fallen in front of his face before letting out a sigh.
"your a nut you know that". Slowly Aka opened his eyes and grew a small smile as he watched her.
Slowly Midori let go of his hair and let out a nother sigh before taking a hold of his hand
"but your a fun nut..."

Suddenly Aka through himself up and wrapped his arms tightly around Midori before letting out a deep breath. "your not half bad yourself.... In fact your pretty great"
Within a few moments Midori suddenly grew tired as she sat there in her brother's arms and it wasn't long until Aka had got to his and gazed down at her with a warm smile. "let's go home..."
Slowly Midori gave her head a small nod before meeting his gaze with a smile if her.
