Tanager was so excited to be accepted at this school. He had filled out the application, but wasn’t sure he would be allowed as a Skywing because he had black scales and wasn’t raised by Skywings. But he was! Someone had come delivering the news and he had almost burst with joy. All these new things to learn and dragons to meet! And he had heard that Moonstone Peaks was the best school to be at. How lucky of a dragonet he was!

He had flown over with his old broken down sack with all the necessities needed around his broad shoulders and his trusty green bandanna ties around his muscular leg. He arrived and immediately strolled confidently into the school. Tanager walked past a group of girl dragonets and winked at them before heading towards the entrance.

Shortly, he found a small scroll uncurled and attached to the beautiful walls. He peered closer at it and saw that they were room assignments. He scrolled down to find his name and roommates. “Hmm. Freesia, Mamba, and Caribou! We will have fun together, I’m sure!” He quickly strolled to the room. He got lost on the way, but asked a dragon for directions. Finally he arrived and strolled in the entrance.

A large light blue and white dragon was laying down on one of the beds looking a bit annoyed. He quickly walked over to him with a large smile on his face. He reached a paw over towards the Icewing and a little bit loudly spoke to him. “Hi, I’m Tanager. You must be Caribou. I’m excited to be sharing this winglet with you!” He looked around the empty cave. “Have Freesia and Mamba not arrived?” He smiled with a boyish grin at the thought of staying with two girls, even though they were gonna be in different caves the winglet did everything together.

Owl trailed after the two dragons, leading to the main hall. "Heres the map! It says
the library is down the west hall, next to the art center."

Caribou turned his attention to the new loud presence in the room. Letting out a huff once he realized
it wasn't an Icewing but rather a Nightwing? Rainwing? The dragon was a confusing mix of a Skywing body
and black and red scales. "Yes, I'm caribou. The two Rainwings stormed off already."
Taking a second to look the dragon up and down, he gave into his mild curiosity.
"What kind of wing even are you?"

caelum strolled down the hall, seeing the library at the end. "look, there it is." he pointed it out to his roomates. it looked like there was another rainwing already inside.

after wandering around the school for a while, she decided to go back to her dorm, because she was feeling a little lonely. maybe the fourth roommate had arrived so she wouldn't have to be alone with caribou. she arrived at her dorm and peeked her head in to see a new fourth dragon. thank god.

Tanager smiled at the Icewings question, though he felt disappointed that the girls weren’t here. They were Rainwings? Both of them? Hopefully they wouldn’t be boring. But he felt like smiling a lot today even if there were no girls to flirt with. Plus he wanted to make friends and be popular. Though the question of his scales was very expected, he had not expected the dragon to be so blunt. The Icewing’s scales gave him a dainty look, even if he was big.

“Well, I am pure Skywing.” He looked down and his semi-broad chest. “I don’t know how my scales became black. All I know is that I was originally red and suddenly became black when I was very young. Maybe I got burnt permanently?” He lifted a large wing and peered at it curiously before turning back to Caribou. He had not noticed Freesia yet.

Monsoon flinched as he saw Mamba almost spit on Caelum "Oh- are you okay?" He glanced up at the new rainwing, hoping they wouldn't be too much of a problem.

Mamba spat some venom, narrowly missing Caelum and dissolving on the stone floors. "Sorry. Thought you were that annoying icewing. Although i'd be satisfied if I hit that rainwing too. Small lines of scarlet prickled along her scales. She continued scanning the scroll she was looking at, something about each tribe's powers, ignoring the rest of them.

Wow gotta get used to writing that name. Caelum, Caelum, Caelum,

Owl recoiled as a jet of venom flew past her head once she turned the corner.
It's not even been one day how do people already have enemies.
She mumbled under her breath, taking a second to calm her nerves and take in the grandiose library.

Caribou

Caribou quirked his brow, trying to process this skywings explanation. "You got burned forever?
Sure." He let out a snort before a little flash of movement caught his eye.
"Oh, you're back." He mumbled to Freesia, lifting his head to peer over the skywing
and down at the rainwing.

caelum looked at the venom dissolving on the floor, thinking about how easily that could have been his face. "i'm fine," he answered monsoon. "and you should watch who you're spitting venom at. you could seriously hurt someone," he said to mamba. immediately after he said it, he backed up behind owl and monsoon so mamba wouldnt try to hit him with venom again.

freesia stepped into the room, completely ignoring caribou because she was still kind of annoyed from his comment earlier. "nice to meet you,"she said, addressing the new dragon. "my name is freesia."she gave him the warmest smile she could while pointedly ignoring caribou.

At Caribou’s words Tanager felt himself internally wince. This guy was kind of rude. Did he think Tanager was lying about his scales? What other explanation was there? His face however did not lose its friendly smile.

He felt very glad when Caribou pointed out the Rainwing behind him. He hadn’t seen her until now. She was a small Rainwing with dark green eyes. Immediately he turned on flirt mode as she introduced herself and turned towards her with a charming smile on his face. She had a warm smile that made him want to light up.

“Nice to meet you Freesia. I’m Tanager.” He walked a little closer to her and looked her in the eye with the flirtatious smile. “You are definitely the most beautiful Rainwing I’ve ever seen.”

He purposely ignored Caribou as Freesia had done.

He quickly rose to his feet, shouldering his way out the door into the hall. He was thoroughly annoyed already
and just wanted some solitude. Was the library open yet?

freesia blushed at the skywing's comment. "thanks," she replied, silently glad that caribou was leaving. she found herself wanting to get to know her new roommate more. he seemed like a nice dragon, and freesia hoped that they could be friends.
