I think store pets or limited pets like dappervolk did would be a brilliant idea, I'd look to get one! Either that or some kind of donation sink would be wonderful. It could even become a monthly or quarterly thing for other charities/LGBT/BLM organisations!

thank you Tess and the rest of our lovely cs staff for addressing this issue. although i myself am not black, i completely support the blm movement and i feel relieved to hear that you do too. i'm also glad that the deerskin outfit has been renamed. once again, thank you guys for doing what is right <3

I would just like to take the time to say thank you, truly, for taking a stand on this matter.

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting a site aimed towards children to be addressing it at all, but I'm so, so happy that you guys are taking the time to at least try to educate those that may not understand the big picture.

It's been rough, but it's no time to give up.

thank you for posting about this. just a question, though; i’ve seen profiles purposefully made to be anti-blm— are any actions going to be taken against them ?? i’m full aware that some people may just need more knowledge and education on the topic (even then, they should seek that out themselves. it’s not our jobs as poc to educate people) but some cases are just extremely disheartening to me & make me feel a little uneasy on the site. i totally understand if you want to allow everyone’s opinions on certain things, but i think that if something was solely made to uproot a strong, valid movement, that it should be looked into :)

I apologize for not being specific enough in my response! Yes, we will be asking users to remove "all lives matter" and "blue lives matter" from their profiles. We will be working to educate users on why they should not use these statements rather than just warning everyone outright, who may not understand the history of the statement they are making. Our goal is to educate, not to punish. We will evaluate any other reported content on a case-by-case basis.

If you see a profile designed to be anti-blm, please report them.
