The girl, a little surprised by Red's sudden appearance behind her, falls backwards and lands on her butt. Her Wynaut, whom is surprised as well, lets out a small noise in shock of getting spooked. "Ah-!" Shaking her head a little, she looks in the direction of the other trainer and gives a bit of an embarrassed wave. "Oh-! Uhm... Well, yes. I was actually looking for a super cool pokemon that's supposed to be deep in the forest... Have you heard the stories before?"

The town isn't too far ahead, but a panting mailman runs up to you, huffing and puffing. "Whew- oh god, I'm running late!" they yelp, fumbling with some letters.

They look at you, pleading. "Please, would you be able to help me deliver a letter? It's at the town right ahead- I just don't have time to stop!"

Leif bounces up and down excitedly, before high fiving your hand.

Nearby outside of the building where you received Leif, there's a thick patch of grass that is inhabited by a small population of pokémon, and looks like a prime spot for training. On the left, there's also what looks like a path to a mountain, with a hot air balloon in the distance.

That being said, would you like to go find some pokémon, or scale a mountain just for fun?

...Crow decided it'd be best to bond with Leif, for now. They'd only just met, after all. They ought to have some fun together before getting into the nitty-gritty of battling.

A staff member of the mountain climbing gang wave down to you from the mountain, "Hey! Look up!" He shouts. Leif jumps up and down, waving back energetically.

The staff member scales back down the mountain, landing next to you. "Hey! Looking to climb?"

She shakes her head a little, standing up and brushing some of the dirt off of herself. Her partner pokemon settles down a little as well since there's nothing to be worried about now. "I don't know if it's a legendary pokemon yet, I only know about the stories... But don't worry about scaring me- It's hard to not be jumpy in a place that's kind of dark like this..." She pauses for a moment, scratching the back of her head. "Yeah though... It's supposed to be hidden deep in the forest, with it's treasure that it guards-"
