"You are way to calm." Zarek muttered, quickly closing the door and looking over his shoulder as they walked along. "Honestly, can you promise to be more careful, please? I know you're immortal, but if one of the demons gets at you..." He didn't bother finishing, not that he really needed too, since anything with a soul could lose it, even angels. Though, demons would never eat an angels soul. The spider hybrid imagined that in his mind and almost laughed, they would probably kill themselves by doing that if they ever actually managed it,

BIC: "I'm calm because he doesn't really scare me," Lia told him, smiling at how concerned he was over her. She was a bit over-courageous, she had to admit, but she had always been like that. "I know I could have lost my soul. Thanks for getting me out of there and caring, though." She gave him a hug with one arm. "Just don't ever let him eat your soul. If you died, I'd never forgive you."

Smiling at Lia fondly, Zarek reassured her with a laugh. "Don't worry, he hates me, but he doesn't seem to attack guys all that often. Seriously, if he weren't so reluctant to hang out or go out with anyone, I'd think he was some sort of rapist or something." Especially the way Shade pulled of eating someone's soul, Zarek had seen it once-and frankly didn't want to again. "Well...you should be more careful, anyway." She honestly wasn't scared of anyone at this school, was she?" Zarek found that kind of bravery a good quality, though he vowed mentally to try and keep her away from the strogner students for now on.

BIC: Lia actually shuddered, finding that idea very, very creepy. Where a show of strength couldn't get her to sway, the idea of him maybe raping her would. She had a thing for a woman's rights, as obviously seen through her need for chivalry, and imagining them completely taken away was horrible. "Okay, I promise to be more careful. I don't even realize when I'm doing something like that, though. You might have to come up with a signal to tell me, because I usually get into a lot of trouble for things like this." She laughed, forcing that earlier disgust of Shade away.

"Let's see...what can we do for a signal." Zarek pondered that for a moment, trying to think of something even remotely resonable, and then just shrugged and began randomly clapping his hands in a series of ridiculous hand-twists and patterns. "Perfect! Nobody will suspect a thing." He grinned, nodding as if he was actually serious about that. "But seriously, any word I should use or something?" They were pretty close to the gym now, and he gulped as he thought of how in just a few hours, they would be on the battle field.

BIC: "Oh yes, they won't suspect a thing. They'll only think that your hands are convulsing into strange patterns and that there must be something wrong with your brain," Lia scoffed, still finding the hand signal funny. She raised an eyebrow, glancing up at Zarek. "You're actually serious? How much trouble do you truly think that I'll get in?" Chuckling, she shook her head, finding that amusing. "Uh... Dippedy doo? Would that work? People might still think you're strange, though."

Zarek grinned, giving up on the attempt to make something close to a hand signal. "I dunno, they might just think I'm drunk. Either way, maybe we can succeed in thinking of something remotely...sane? I'm not sure about you, but the idea of randomly shouting "dippedy doo!" doesn't appeal to me." In his mind he came up with multiple reactions that woudl earn, and didn't enjoy any one.

BIC: "Again, why do you think I need this?" Lia teased, seriously wondering why he thought that she needed a signal. "I'm not that bad, am I?" She raised an eyebrow, wondering if she could sometimes be too brave or clueless around people. It's not like she had ever noticed it, because people like Zarek usually took her out of the situation before something really bad happened. "What about... you just hum something? Like the song that you sang last night?"

"You want me to hum 'second chance'?" Zarek thought about that. "No good, I hum it all the time without really realizing it. I could have you thinking you were doing something to piss off a strong guy without you actually doing anything. As for why...well, I guess I'm just a worry-wart." he admitted, rubbing the back of his head as they turned the corner to the hall leading to the gym. "Oh boy..."
