"no, its open."caelum answered the new dragon. he got up off the hammock,
stretching his wings a little bit. "my name's caelum, what about you guys?"
he hoped that they would all get along.

freesia browsed the list of roomates until she found her name, quickly walking to her room
so she could pick a good bed for herself. peeking her head in, she noticed another rainwing in
a hammock by the window. "hey, you must be mamba?" she asked, setting her stuff down
on the table and picking a mattress by the entrance.

Owl turned her head at the new voice, awkwardly shuffling to the side to allow Monsoon in. "Hey, I'm Owl"
Turning she dropped her items on a rock ledge set into the wall,
hoping no one had claimed it yet. It felt cramped with just the three of them,
she didn't know how in the moons they were going to fit a fourth dragon.

Caribou ducked his head entering the school, glancing around to try and see the room assignments.
Frowning he noticed the only dragons he was currently assigned with were Rainwings. With a stiff turn,
he began to stalk down the hall to his assigned dorm. He flicked his tail with annoyance as he entered the room,
"You must be Freesia and Mamba."

"Sorry-" he apologized as he struggled past Owl. He toppled onto the hammock, getting out his pack and starting to unpack his things. He nodded, worried that his large size might be an inconvenience to the others. "I'm Monsoon, it's a pleasure to meet you." He looked over at Owl, wondering if they could get along, all three of them.

Mamba.

She flicked her tongue slightly, wondering if Caribou would be any problem. She took out her last thing, a small potted bromeliad, and placed it on the windowsill. "Yeah, i'm Mamba. I'm assuming the other is Freesia. She laid there, somewhat glaring at Caribou but not doing anything aggressive.

"nice to meet you too." caelum noticed monsoon's bracelet. "i like your bracelet. where
is it from?"

freesia could sense that the icewing was not happy about rooming with two rainwings. she
could see that the other rainwing had noticed as well, because she was glaring at caribou.
focusing her attention back on caribou, she wondered whether or not he would be this stand-
offish for the entire year. "do you have a problem with rooming with rainwings?" she tried to
ask as politely as she could.

Caribou stiffened slightly, caught a little off guard. Arent rainwings supposed to be slow and lazy?
Frowning he turned his attention to Freesia "Maybe." Without a second word
he shouldered his way in, placing his belongings on a rocky ledge covered by a polar bear fur.

"Oh, this?" He held up the bracelet, the sapphires embedded in it glinting in the dull window light. "My sister, Kelp, gave it to me. It's one of the few precious things we have, so she gave me this for luck." he sighed, his gaze clouding slightly as he thought of his sister. "I hope she's okay... We have so little, she rarely gets to eat much. She's so thin... I-"

"Excuse me?" She hissed, leaping off of the hammock. She raised her wings up to the roof, scarlet prickling over her dull green scales. She pushed past Freesia, glaring at Caribou. "We're not slow, we're not lazy, and I promise you, you're about to have your eyes burnt out if you don't shut that insulting jaw of yours!"

caelum awkwardly reached out and patted monsoon on the back. he felt really bad for the seawing, but
he didn't know how to express his feelings. "I wish there was something I could do to help you guys."

freesia curled into a defensive position as mamba faced caribou. the last thing she wanted was a fight
before school had even started, but it was becoming apparent that they were going to have a bad year
if things continued the way they were. "perhaps he didn't mean what he said."she said, trying to
de-escalate the situation. even though she took a little offense to his words.

Owl shifted her weight on her talons awkwardly. "Hey man that sucks."
She mumbled, unsure of what to do. "I hope she gets better." It was clearly an emotional
topic for the seawing.

Caribou

Caribou growled, perhaps this rainwing had very perceptive hearing.
He couldn't talk his words back now, especially after the threat she threw at him.
"You try anything I'll freeze that snout of yours shut and then well see whos talking."
He snarled, shoving his face in front of hers. ignoring poor Freesia's attempt to quell the conflict.

"Oh, I- It's fine..." He hastily said, hiding his bracelet under his other talon. "I- I know she'll try her best, we always have... You don't need to worry about her for me." He nodded sadly at Caelum and Owl.

"I'm afraid you don't know who you're talking to, and if I were you, I would shut my trap, ice-breath. She stretched her wings out, getting up on her hind legs before striking Caribou with a claw. She stalked out of the room, disappearing for a bit.

Cactus landed Infront of the entrance to the school and sniffed the air cautiously. The others were already here. She walked and and found her name on a list of rooms. Great, she was stuck with other dragons. She wandered over to the room only to find three other dragons in there having and awkward conversation. "Mind if I join ya'll?"
