the operator is born in tokyo to a japanese father and an americ
an mother on 13 september, 2047. a promising youth, the oper
ator studied anomalous physics and anomalous biology (widely
known as superhuman sciences) in university and one of the lea
ad researchers on replicating superhuman dna. after graduating
at the age of 20, the operator was hired by BLACKRABBIT initiall
y for the research and development department. however, after
recognising that his knowledge and organisational skills go bey
ond the restrictions of a lab coat, the operator became chief tac
tical officer for the special security and weaponry department in
the age of 22 - acting as a field commander for a plethora of m
issions, this is where he initially met a certain pyrokinetic and h
er cryokinetic sibling. at 24, the operator becomes the executiv
of the special security & weaponry department. in his regime, t
he operator regularly oversees the employment of superhuman
s from all around the world, esp. those that are seeking asylum

kanae is a young man in his early twenties. he's often described as a prod
igy who's always restless and is in a rush most of the time. his demeanor
is threatening, as if he'll do anything in a blink of an eye. he's generally se
en wearing a gakuran-styled uniform; a black shirt with standing collar, a
blue haori with oversized sleeves which may be for combat purposes, bl
ack trousers & white knee-high boots. occasionally, he's seen carrying du
al katanas that are attached to his waist. his choice of words are rather...
informal, unless he's with other executives.

the true embodiment of a ruthless, cold-blooded killer. kanae has a rather
cynical nature, as he's often seen being skeptical even in smallest of cas
es. hell, he doesn't trust the whole organisation and it's intentions, despit
e of the fact that he's been working under it for a long time, & taking his
relations with the operator in consideration as well. if he senses even th
e slightest of treachery, he won't be merciful. he never has been, nor doe
s he displays any sympathy or remorse to his own colleagues. it may so
und selfish of him, but he doesn't want his closed one's to get involved
with a 'murderer'. he struggles to express emotions, since he lost the ab
ility before he even started working. he often claims that he doesn't nee
d any partner in missions, and that he's better on his own.
but of course, he does have a soft side regardless of that cold, distant i
nterior. he doesn't want to open up to anyone due to his belief that peop
le will only take advantage of it. in reality, he's an empathetic, tender per
son who's going through extreme self-loathe. he despises himself beca
use he took away lives without any right, even if his actions are perfectl
y justified. he's just afraid of losing his closed one's, even if he doesn't l
ook like that. It's a possibility that he's insecure about his emotions.
once you get to know him, you can tell he retains some of the child-like
innocence he lost a long time ago. he would be less critical around you
and would offer respect. not to mention, he looks more serene when in
the presence of his acquaintances. regardless, he still won't open up, &
it would be rather unwise if you pressurize him for that reason, conside
ring that's one way to go through a near-death experience. it was also n
oted that he denies his relations with retrieval unit i. and going as far a
s claiming that he doesn't have any siblings or blood relations with her.
due to his violent & critical nature, he's always assigned to solo mission
s. rumors were that he's eliminated most of his partners alongside the
target, tarnishing his reputation. though, it's unlikely since he doesn't se
em to hold any resent towards any of his colleagues.
his recent assignment to a group mission became a concern amongst
other executives. higher-ups have advised to keep an eye on him.

Strikingly, Aihara is a hot head. She tries her hardest to keep as emotionally distache
─d as she can, but a lot of the time it's difficult for her. But perhaps it is because sh
─e's seen far too many lives lost in this game. She's frustrated at the system she's in
and even angrier at her nature. But she still does what she does. Aihara tries not to
frustrate those around her, but more often than not it backfires making her previou
─sly warm and motherly personality harder and harder to find. It seems she wants to
go back to the way she was but keeps getting lost in the cycle.

To those who have been involved in the unit for as long as she has knows why she
is the way she is. Watching her lover die infront of her on a backfired mission reaf
─firmed to her why she should never open up. Still occasionally, her old self peeks
through. Though, she has never been the same since.

Her relationship with her brother has always been strained. From a young age, she
was a motherly figure for him and less so of a sister. It impacted their relationship
a lot, making Kane see her as more of a parent. When he needed her most she had
completely shut off, leaving him without guidance.

born from a place of hatred, vivian has not known much
of kindness throughout her life. her home country was
steeped in the belief that children born with powers
were agents of evil. with her whole community seeing
her as an abomination, viv has welcomed that as a
means to protect herself and her heart from the outside
world and its hatred. she learned to shut herself off,
forming impenetrable steel walls. and as a result, she
has trouble trusting people and developed a somewhat
nasty temper. but she keeps her retorts, and everything
else, to herself. viv was eventually snatched up by
military dogs to help fight their war, which she did so
unwittingly. she had nothing else going for her, and
they treated her well enough - seeing her as a force to
be used for their own purposes. along the way, different
humanitarian groups expressed their interest in her,
finally giving her a chance to use her powers for good.
she sees this as being much more fulfilling, rather than
going around doing other people’s dirty work. she
doesn't have much complaints, although cannot help
but feel as though her life is wasting away, and the
raging tempest inside cries to be unleashed upon the
world.
