SB means starting bid. MB means the minimum bid. AB means auto buy.

So in an auction, the first person to bid on an adopt offers the price of a SB. If someone else wants the same adopt, and is willing to add more, they offer the SB PLUS MB amount. Then the next adds another MB to the SB+MB (and so on). However, for an AB, it means that the buyer pays the AB price and is given the adopt right away without having to wait for the end date/people cannot outbid an AB.
