The closer they get to finding out its identity the closer they would be to helping keep their Clanmates from danger. Now, though, Splashfeather was bounding off towards an unfamiliar, scrappy-looking outsider. Sometimes when he was sparring with his mentor, he felt as if his life were really in danger - if Tigerblaze’s claws were out, he figured he would be. He supposed that was how every mentor trained their apprentice, though: violently, like it was a real fight. How else would they know what to expect? The tom had never taken issue on it, and it had only picked up as moons had passed and he became stronger. Now though, the big black cat was lying on his back - Tigerblaze had bowled him over easily. He tried to be swift and with all of the force he could muster Jackdawpaw thrust his hind paws upwards, trying to kick his opponent off of him, his paws headed for Tigerblaze’s underbelly.

Her mind felt cloudy, and she realized that her paws were dragging. She veered towards the fresh kill pile. Snatching up a small mouse, the warrior continued to the den. Sitting just outside of its entrance she settled down and took a bite. As she chewed, she let her thoughts wander to Nightwish and Russetswirl. They’d come trotted back, Nightwish uncomfortably close to him. It had made her pelt feel so hot. Even now, she could feel the tips of her ears burning. Shaking her head, Acornspots let out a sigh and swallowed her prey.
