It is the year 3043. The humans are gone, having dug their own graves with pollution and global warming.
Over the span of the past couple hundred years, the existence of the dragons has stirred and awoken. And slowly, little by little, they have picked themselves up from the near extinction that the humans had driven them into and dusted themselves off, ready to assert themselves, ready to walk the Earth once more.
They used to roam freely, in fact, when time first began, but the arrival of other species, specifically humans, drove them to fall into what you might call a very deep sleep. They are majestic, powerful beasts of the very core elements that make up the world. Oh yes, and dignified. Proud as well. They have become the dominant creatures of this land, replacing the humans as the top of the food chain.
Unknown to them, there is a small group of humans who have miraculously survived. They have regrouped into a band that seek to make peace with the dragons in hopes of surviving.
But dragons do not forget the past...
They have not forgotten that it was the humans who nearly smothered their race.
They have not forgotten the damage the humans inflicted to the environment.
They have not forgotten that it was the humans who replaced natural splendor with choking gray buildings.
Dragons are stubborn, as well, and it is likely that they will not take kindly to these people. In their eyes, the humans are destroying machines that knock down Nature's glory and consider themselves the top of the top and the best of the best. In their eyes, the humans are filthy, conniving, backstabbing beings that think only for themselves and will act without a thought about their surroundings.
In short, you could say that the dragons detest the humans. It is not likely that they will be willing the save the species that nearly killed them all. You might even say that the dragons are angry.

And to those who dare incur the wrath of a dragon...

Looks(Description please): Pitch black with a white underbelly and green eyes. He also has odd tribal markings; A circle on his right eye and curvy lines strecthing down his front legs, and odd dots on his hind legs. His wings are torn, but yet still able to fly. Nicto also has a feather braclet on his right back leg.
Personality: Nicto had always been smart, but rather shy. Ever since humans had gone extinct, he had nightmares of being hunting once again, just like he had in England, where he once lived. Nicto is swift and hard to hit, considered that he is an air dragon. However, he's slow to detect what is attacking him and whatnot.

Name: Senka
Gender: Female
Looks: Senka has more of a lithe, wiry build, meant for speed, agility, and aerodynamics. Her base color is black, with silver swirls. She has long lilac fur along her tail and on her legs at the wrists, elbows, and haunches. She has a chain on both back legs, and piercing violet eyes that are surrounded by a 'mask' of blue. Over her head, she wears a skull mask that is a very faint golden color. She has silver spikes framing her head and running along her spine for the length of her entire body. Her tail is long and is tipped with a silver blade. She has large demon wings: the arm is black, the topside is silver, the underside is lavender, and it is tipped with a pale blue. She has chestnut legwarmers on her two front legs. The one on her right leg has black stripes, and the one on her left has white ones. She has silver armor covering the base of her tail, her stomach, and her two hind legs. The armor is a darker shade of silver than her natural markings. She has dark green Celtic knots on her neck and front legs, and two necklaces that (I believe) are dark blue. She has robin-egg blue feathers on her jawbone and her haunches. Personality: Senka is a sly, cunning, and headstrong dragon. She will not hesitate to insult you or fire back a witty retort. She is quick-witted and sharp, difficult to fool as well. She is a slippery fellow, and it is wise to watch yourself around her. She will bend anything that comes her way to her advantage. She is easy to tick off, and unfortunately, every time that happens (which is all to often, actually) she becomes a raging inferno of fury and destruction. She is sneaky and can be rather hostile, and refuses to lay her trust in anyone but herself, a very independent dragon indeed. She is proud and hates to have to ask for help, and highly competitive and spirited as well. She is hot-tempered and hot-blooded, despite her sinisterly shadowy nature. Lies slip easily and naturally off her tongue, so it is best to try not to go by what she says. She is all wits, charm, and deceptive cunning, as well as being a bagful of cocky remarks, skillfully master lies, and unnerving little knowing looks. She gives off that tantalizing aura that she knows exactly what you're up to. In short, it is highly recommended that you try to steer clear of her and never trust her.

Nicto spread out his wings as a strong gust of wind suddenly blasted through the trees. He jumped into the air as he took flight. The dragon spun loops in the air until the earth gasped out its last breath. The magnificent creature calmly glided back to his cliff, a large bird clinging to his jaws. Nicto lay down, huffing, pushing the bird, bones and all, down his throat.
Then it happened.
A gunshot rang in the woods, hitting him in the leg. It bounced off safely, considering a dragon's bulletproof skin. He snarled fiercely as crows flung themselves out into the woods.

Nicto burst open his eyes. Only a dream. The humans were already extinct; Nothing to worry about. He staggered to his feet and looked out to the beautiful land beyond his den. At least he wouldn't live in hiding anymore.

Generally, my forms and first couple of posts are monstrous, and then they downsize to regular paragraphs, so no need to be frightened of little ol' me. x3))

Two spots of fiery violet materialized in what appeared to be a total cloak of darkness as Senka opened her eyes.
She stepped out of the cave she had briefly been napping in, rustling her enormous leathery wings. Feeling a slight itch at her core that she had learned a while ago meant she wanted to fly, spread her wings a bit, stretching them, and ambled leisurely over to a large clearing, perfect for takeoff. In an acrobatic bound and leap, the dragon had launched herself into the air, wings angling close to her wiry body, the wind whistling in her ears and rustling the chains on her two hind legs. She shot at a sharp incline towards the sky, her heart singing freely; one of the only times she was genuinely happy was when she was flying. As she reached her desired height, her wings unfurled to a surprisingly wide span, and she swooped gracefully through the air.
A dark streak slicing with great velocity and speed through the sky like a bullet.
Senka could feel the air pressing against what parts of her face were exposed from the mask. Her necklaces were compressed against her chest, a comfortingly familiar feeling. She made an elaborate twirl with the confidence and elegance of one who had practiced the movement well. She had always enjoyed experimenting with little tricks in the air, despite her element being darkness.

Nicto stood up and walked out of his cave. He breathed in the cold air, opened his black wings, and launched himself into the air. Like always in the morning, Nicto snatched one of the remaining horses that lived near the demolished human farm. As it clung in his jaws, Nicto realized another flying beast was near. As quick as light, the air dragon bolted towards the strong scent.

Zkia raced through the forest, her heart pounding with adrenaline and fear. Three shots rang throughout the forest as Zkia collapsed in pain and loss of blood-

Zkia opened her eyes and gasped, realizing it was just a dream. The humans had died out, there was no way that could have happened. She stood up in her dusty den and sneezed. "I really need to find something to put on the floor of this place.." she muttered to herself. Zkia exited and made her way to the small stream nearby.
