Is this pet based on the Angel of Death Azrael or the Seraphim?


I’ve always thought the pet was loosely based on Azrael because it has a lot of wings and those wings have eyes on them (Azrael is sometimes depicted as having thousands of wings as well as eyes and tongues whose number is the same as the number of people inhabiting the Earth), or the Seraphim because it’s covering its face (the Seraphim are said to cover their faces in the presence of God), but I’ve never been sure.

Sorry to disappoint but It's not based on any angel or celestial being in particular, I tend to design my pets with just aesthetics in mind.

Random Question for any staffer,

I brought up before that my special needs son is in love with Nick's pets. Before I do anything like "print" images I tend to try and ask permission first.

Would it be alright with the site to print out (but obviously not alter in any way) the images of the various pets that he'd like for his reward at the end of the day? He tends to carry them around with him when we go into public as his comfort items.

have you ever seen a trade that REALLY shocked you based on typical demand of pets alone? i recently came across this thread, and it feels like a major eye-opener to consider that the UR rat is technically just as are as the UR Tiger dog-- people just want the tiger dog a whole lot more. have you encountered any other cases like this, with other not-so-popular pets? or even popular ones being traded for significantly more/less than what they're worth?

i also posted a big mess of a question a while ago and didnt hear back, but here's the tl;dr:

to: anyone, preferably longer-term staff but im all years to anyone who knows the answer!
tl;dr - what's up with the holiday celebration schedule? why are some holidays not celebrated every year, or have only been celebrated a few times? and when they are celebrated, why only drop repeats of old items, especially when potential for new items relating to the holiday is fair game and would create a wider variety for players to celebrate the holiday to collect? is it a matter of available staff or is there a bigger reason going on?

No one knows the real rarities of pets other than Tess and Nick, and they do not share this information with anyone. Demand has always existed but I've always been a stickler for following the rarity labels and I try to find trading partners that share the same mindset. Trading off the older VR/OMGSR rats for a fair price is hard, but it's doable if you are patient. It makes me sad to see people trade rares for VRs when we know that rares are worth less.

We have holidays that we celebrate every year (VDay, Easter, Halloween, Advent, etc.) and then sometimes additional holidays are celebrated if someone has extra time to create pets for it. This is usually the case with Thanksgiving and why it is only celebrated sometimes. One of our admins is actually Jewish so from my agnostic perspective, the Hanukkah event looks really beautiful each year.

If you feel that certain holidays are lacking or could use fresh ideas, you are always free to suggest new pet and item designs on the stickied threads in the suggestions board!

i love the pride flag chickens that got released for june, except a lot of people (including me) had our flags left out.
are you going to make more pets like that next year? a lot of people would appreciate that.
also i'm really sorry if this sounds like complaining, i'm not i was just wondering if there would be more pets with other flags.
if there's already pets you made with other flags, please tell me. i didn't look at the archive much so i probably didn't see it.
