The Australian Drover is a new breed of horse bred
    specifically for working/herding livestock. Designed
to be hardy, high spirited and with a desire to work,
these animals are for those who work on the land or
need a tough animal to work feed lots and unruly
    cattle.
By nature, Australian Drovers are a forward, strong,
independent, confident breed that is not designed
for beginner riders. They tend to have a nasty streak
and will put their riders into the dirt if they feel
the need, but once they have gotten through that
phase, a Drover will be your partner for life and is
the most reliable work-mate you will ever find.
In recent years, through selective breeding, Drovers
have came out of the working properties and have
found their way to the sport world, where they have
been seem to dominate in disciplines such as team
penning, campdrafting, other rodeo disciplines and
sporting. There have been a few seen in the more
english disciplines such as show jumping, dressage
and eventing, but there are far and few between.

Show Hunter - "Show Hunter Hacks are not required to jump. The workout for this class should be free flowing and forward moving, with the horse covering the ground in all paces. Workout should be kept simple but should include, a change of rein at canter and a gallop. The horse, when asked to halt, must come down through the paces calmly, obediently and stand still quietly without fidgeting"
Class will be given two scores out of 50, one for work on the ring and one for workout
scores will be combined for a final score out of 100
Galloway horse - horses standing between 14 and 15 hands
Hack horse - horse standing over 15 hands
Working Hunter - "A quality Working Hunter must create the impression that it is capable of hunting over a variety of terrain – this militates against any weakness in conformation which would prevent this, and he must do it comfortably and safely for his rider. The Working Hunter in competition is required to jump."
Class will be given two scores out of 50, one for work over jumps and one for the workout
scores will be combined for a final score out of 100
Champion of champions - champions of their Champion and Reserve Champion classes can compete in the Champion of Champions. Champion of Champions runs rounds 5, 10, 15, 20 etc. and to be eligible, a horse must have won their respective title at least once between Champion of Champions
