INTRODUCTION
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

It was always winter it seemed, with how cold it always was. But that wasn't much of a problem, since the
clan never had anything but long pelts. The problem never began with the cold, but when it began to warm.
Humans truly had no issue invading in their territory, ruining their camp on several occasions. The clan had
put up with them for countless moons, due to a certain leader's decision. When another leader had stepped
forward, they had drawn the group into a frenzy, trying to get them to fight back. Unfortunately, that didn't
go as the leader had planned and it ended in many casualties. The new leader had run when it went wrong,
abandoning them when they needed a leader the most. Who will save MountainClan from them now?

He was always awake before most of the clan, as he had to step and become the leader since Oakstar had run off a few moons ago. Truthfully, he was a little glad that the former leader had left. Even though it only more responsibility for himself, he would do his best with the clan and not send into meaningless battles against twolegs of all things. For the past two moons, they'd be traveling to their new home far away from twolegs, and each night they would set up a few things to make sure everything ran smoothly before leaving once more.

The sun had barely risen when he'd returned from a brief hunting trip, a few rodents hanging in his jaws as well as two birds. He'd managed to catch a few things with his younger sister that had been a little too slow, bad for them but at least it would feed a few cats. Placing the catches down into the makeshift prey pile, he stepped aside from it, he'd eaten yesterday, hadn't he? The pile wasn't big enough to feed the entire camp unfortunately, but it would have to be enough for now.

Bounding through the snow, it was clear that she almost perfectly blended in with it. Not that she cared much for anything but playing in the snow at the moment, watching the snow fly up in the air when she kicked it around, without a care in the world. Sure, she would probably have to leave soon when everyone was ready, but she just wanted to spend some more time doing this instead. She had already gone hunting for a little bit with her older brother, and he carried their catches back when she said she was going to be just a bit. She wasn't all that far from where the clan had slept tonight, although she wished that they would find a place to stay already.

Accidentally slipping on a patch of frozen snow, she had landed into the snow stomach-first and instantly recoiled back when the cold snow had began to seep through her pelt. Maybe this wasn't such a great idea after all. She thought, making her way out of it and began heading back to their temporary place.

Robinwind woke to the chilled morning air with a sigh. He didn't really feel that rested, but the sun was rising and there was no more time to sleep. Things had to be done. He had to admit, it was certainly hard to be a medicine cat when they didn't have a permanent camp, and he was never certain where he could find herbs. Just trying to keep tabs on everyone's health was enough to keep him worrying that he couldn't get a restful night's sleep anymore.

He forced himself to his feet though, and crawled out of the hollow that had been dug the night before, trying his best not to disturb anyone else who was still sleeping. If he was lucky, he might be able to scavenge up some more traveling herbs, which would be good. Some juniper would be fantastic, if he could find some. As he left the den he saw Bramblehawk and nodded his head in greeting. "Good morning, Bramblehawk," He said. "Was hunting alright?"

Elmshade's first thought when she woke up was that her paws were sore. They had been traveling for so long, and her pads were cracked and sore from the cold and the journey. Sitting up in her nest, she gave them a few quick licks to sooth them, and then made her way out of the makeshift den and into the rest of the camp. With a yawn, she stretched, the morning sunlight glinting off the snow in a beautiful way. She could see that her brother was already up, but she hadn't noticed if Oceanpaw was up yet. Maybe they would be able to get a little bit of training in before they headed out again.

Creamflower wakes up in her nest and gets up, yawning as she stretches. Shaking her pelt, she pads out of the nursery and towards the clearing, realizing a fresh-kill pile was made. Upon approaching the makeshift pile, she spots Bramblehawk and smiles, purring. She respects the Clan deputy greatly and knows he will make a great leader. "Hello Bramblehawk." she greeted warmly.

The she-cat was already very much awake and has been for quite awhile now. Since she's recently become a warrior, she decided that she should start getting up bright and early even if others were still sleeping. She was prepared to do whatever she had to for the clan and she'd be lying if she said she wasn't excited to go on a patrol.

The cat cringed slightly with each paw step as their bare paws hit the snow since they never had much interaction with the snow before. Their parents wouldn't let them outside because it was apparently too cold and they apparently wouldn't be able to handle it due to their thin fur which is lacking in some places. They were gonna prove them wrong though and to do so, they were going to their dad's old clan. They didn't understand how their father could live such a boring life now when he used to live such a fascinating one. They could smell what they assumed was the border since they could smell many different cats who had marked those areas "Almost there" they grinned and then realized they talked to themselves which probably wasn't the best habit if they wanted to appear sane "I really got to stop talking to myself but if I don't talk to me, no one else will since no one is here" They spoke and shrugged.

The large ginger tabby tom bounded through the snow, as his paws pounded the forest floor puffs of snow flew up from the ground, before landing again. He took no care in being cautious, this was something he did quite often. Whenever the tom was dealing with stress, he often had ways of dealing with it and this was one of them. The clan was in such a state that he was often overwhelemed. He knew he shouldn't be wasting his energy doing useless things like running around, but he had to take his mind off the whole situation. He knew prey was short and many of the warriors had to sacrifice their prey for other clanmates. He couldn't remember when was the last time he had eaten - yesterday? The day before that? He could only remember turning down any prey offered to him and would always give it to someone else. He knew he'd have to eat something eventually though. For now he'd go on a quick hunting trip and see if he could catch anything, before returning to camp so at least it would seem like he'd gone hunting - because he would have. And that would make him feel better overall.

Sunshade trotted back to camp, his breathing coming in rough gasps. He'd managed to catch a rodent and a small bird, but otherwise nothing special. He wasn't as focused as he normally was, but had tried his best to catch something before he dared return to camp. The tom made sure he completed something of a task. He would beat himself up about it otherwise, he was quite hard on himself to make sure he did his duties. The tom padded into the camp and noticed a few cats nearby the fresh-kill pile - well at least what they called the fresh-kill pile, but it really wasn't. It hardly had enough prey to even be considered a pile. He eased his way over and set his prey down, before padding off and sitting down rather heavily a short distance away. He let out a long, heavy sigh. He then let his amber gaze roam as he watched his clanmates prepare for another long day.

The small pale gray tom awoke quite early that morning, but made no moves to get up just yet. There was a rumble from his belly, demanding food. The young tom typically didn't eat much, which often left him quite hungry later on at some point, but refused to eat much of anything. Since he had training to do though, he made sure he ate something every morning so at least he'd have energy and wouldn't feel sick during a training session. The small tom blinked as the muffled sounds of his clanmates rousing met his ears. His ears twitched, before he carefully slipped out of the makeshift den that had been made the previous night. He let out a quiet sigh. He was tired of sleeping in makeshift dens, he just wanted to find somewhere to settle down that was far away from those horrid twolegs. His gaze scanned the camp before landing on Bramblehawk and a few others. Bramblehawk would make sure they found a new home, he was sure of it. He hadn't run away like their former leader had. For a brief moment, the tom wondered what he would have done. Fled or stayed to help his clan? He thought it over for a few moments, though wasn't quite sure. It was a tense situation regardless. Pushing the thoughts aside he trotted toward an open spot and settled down, awaiting for his mentor or someone to give him something to do for the day.

Unlike a certain clan that was moving through the area, Ivy had no worries about traveling. She did so all the time, never one to fear moving onto a new land if one didn't suit her needs anymore. From the simplest thing like prey, to more pressing matters like predators. Even if she simply got bored of the land she could just move onto a new one and one more that thrill of exploring a new place would return. Occasionally, Ivy would run across a fellow feline and get the pleasure of enjoying herself for a bit, before said feline got annoyed and left. Of course, causing mischief was her specialty. She enjoyed getting under one's pelt and annoying them to the point of anger. She loved toying with others and did so often with her prey when there wasn't any other feline about. She took her time with whatever she caught. If she caught a mouse, she'd let it free for a moment only to slap it into the air and once it landed keep it between her claws. She'd do this with rodents and small birds quite often, as well as cats. Currently, the jet black molly was busy grooming her long pelt, getting her thoughts together on what she would do that day. Perhaps, roam the forest and see if there was anything new and interesting. After awhile she rose to her paws and began to pad through the forest, making sure she placed her paws carefully on the snow.
