layla is generally very closed off when it comes to meeting
new people. she feels as though she won't measure up to wh
at they've imagined. after a while of getting to know her you
might just catch a smile or chuckle. she may seem soft, but

layla has been in washington d.c. her entire life, but it hasn'
t all been rainbows and butterflies. even at a young age she
understood that life wasn't supposed to be so hard. she knew
that her parents tried their hardest, but they weren't suppos
ed to go without dinner nearly every night. that didn't stop
them from being happy though. everything was as good as i
t would get for them, and they were okay with that. they j
ust didn't know things would get worse. living on the wrong
side of town meant layla was taught to protect herself at a
young age. it also meant that she would lose her father to a
local thug at a young age. everything changed that day, exc
ept for what she was taught, and still uses to this day.
