"I would love--! I mean I'm honored to be chosen to lead a patrol." She meowed. She was so excited to lead a patrol anywhere. Happiness shone in her eyes. "Let me know who's all going to be in my party." She meowed as calmly as she possibly can.

"I wouldn't mind going on a hunting patrol." she offered. It would be great to help replenish the fresh-kill pile, especially when the clan needed it.

making a mental note of the two cats wanting to go on a hunting patrol, she nodded as to say “yes” to their requests. “thank you both for volunteering!” she purred. “i’m sure this would help us replenish the freshkill pile nicely, and i’ll ensure that you two are put on the first hunting patrols when they are assigned. and, puddlesplash, your party would be assigned as quick as possible, just ask i talk to hazelclaw about any other needed patrols. are there any other things that you two need?”

”that sounds nice, especially since i am terrible at defense,” sweetpaw agreed. he was just happy that it would be something that would be easy this time around. “and, can we possibly review some more of the complex attack moves please? it’s been a while since you’ve taught them to me.”

The she-cat perked her ears and listened to the conversation taking place between Sweetpaw and Hazelclaw. A part of her wished she had her own apprentice to train--that was truly the next big stage for any warrior. A part of her feared that perhaps she didn't qualify to be a mentor; perhaps Starclan didn't think she was good enough. Deciding that she no longer wanted to feel that way, she then listened to the conversation taking place for the council cat: Aspenbreeze. It seemed she was setting up patrols. When she realized she was staring at the other she-cat, she quickly looked back at the beetle that had scurried further away.

Moonscar lifted his round head and settled his bright eyes on the she-cat as she approached him. Though he was usually a solitary character and found it difficult to interact with others, a part of him was relieved that she wasn't scared to come and make contact with him. "Greetings Wolffeather." A part of him truly hoped he could eventually gain a true companion within his clan. His mother had trusted the wrong cat, and that cat happened to be Moonscar's father--he simply hoped he didn't fall victim to the same thing. "I am doing rather well--though I wish I were on a patrol, my legs feel stiff." He grinned and slowly stretched out his limbs as he tilted his head at the gorgeous feline. "How are you doing?"

The tom eventually rolled out of his nest and padded out into the clearing of the camp. He truly didn't need his reputation to be that of a cat who always woke up late and wasn't reliable. He plopped down on his rump and opened his maw to release a yawn. He then took that time to bathe himself in the soft sun.

apsenbreeze mewed a goodbye to both puddlesplash and mintheart, then padded across the clearing towards hazelclaw. it was about time that she discuss the patrols since the riverclan and windclan hunting patrols would take at least the full day. she saw palecloud across the clearing with a beetle, and then dipped her head in greeting before getting to hazelclaw.

it was clear that hazelclaw was talking to her apprentice sweetpaw. from the little she heard, it was clear that sweetpaw would be listening in on the patrol discussion. “hello, hazelclaw, i day it’s about time to discuss the patrols for today,” aspenbreeze greeted. “and, i have a few ideas for the parties already.”

”of course, hazelclaw!” sweetpaw exclaimed. though he never had an interest in becoming a council member or the leader, it would be quite exciting to listening in on the discussion to just know what it would be like.

his eyes quickly opened, and his breathing started to slow some from its already fast pace. it was another nightmare and a common one too. it was obvious the his past was creeping back into his life, but he doesn’t want these cats to know about it . . . at least not yet if they eventually find out.

he crept out of the den and yawned some. he needed to get out of there before someone noticed his slightly panicked state of mind. rustbranch just concluded that after a quick border patrol that he would get some solo hunting done towards the lake.

”i honestly wish that they assigned the patrols quicker since i agree with you about having stiff legs,” wolf-feather replied. “and, as for how i am doing, i’ll be fine later in the day, but right now, i’m just a tad tired.” she paused some trying to think of what to say since she wanted to keep this conversation going. “so, i overheard aspenbreeze, puddlesplash, and mintheart talking about a hunting patrol heading to the other side of the lake. so, that’s probably be the best bet of having a good stretch for our legs. so, do you think you’ll be assigned to that patrol or just hope for something closer to camp like near the old skyclan border?”

"What are your ideas? Maybe something around the old Windclan area?"

”of course, the old windclan territory would be preferable for the bigger hunting patrol today,” aspenbreeze replied, voicing her agreement for that area. “and, both of the old riverclan and windclan territories would be a prime hunting spot today since we’ve haven’t been there since the last half-moon which was a little while ago by now. and, the weather is the best we’ve had in days, so we’ll have to do so now if we want to replenish the freshkill pile the best we can.” her eyes wandered the clearing, trying to pick out the best possible party for puddlesplash to lead. then, her gaze returned to her leader, and she decided to mention the patrol leader for that area. “i talked to puddlesplash and mintheart earlier, and puddlesplash already agreed to lead a party there. so, just add a few more members to that party, and we’ll be good to go. as for the other patrols, we’ll need to renew the camp borders and send out smaller hunting patrols close by. so, any suggestions for the windclan hunting patrol?”

aspenbreeze was notorious for her long reasonings, so it was no shock to him when he found out that she was one of the more experienced council members due to her sharp mind and “good reasonings,” which were just long known facts around the clan, in his opinion. but, he didn’t care much for it as long as patrols are done. yet, it was still interesting to hear the possible patrols. “maybe, you two should send out equal patrols instead of a big one to windclan and some small hunting patrols? since, it would work favorably for each patrol to have equal forces on it... you know, just a thought. . .” he murmured since he didn’t know if it was his place to speak up like that instead of just letting them discuss it.
