Poking her head out from her den, Twistedpaw crawled out into the open and shook her long-haired pelt. She was heading out to replenish the stock of Poppy Seeds, but with the snakes in the area, she needed someone to go with her. Sighing, she began to wander past the Apprentices and Warriors Dens to scout out someone to tag along with her.

Crowsong slid through the entrance of Viperclan, a bite on his front right arm and a large, black snake dangling from his jaws; luckily, this one was merely a black rat snake, and was not poisonous. His gaze rested upon the small Medicine Cat Apprentice quickly before returning to the small, shaded fresh-kill pile, and he dropped his prey on top. With a small yawn, the Tom made his way over to Twistedpaw, a slight limp in his step. "Twistedpaw," he began, tail curling around his back leg, "Would you happen to have any cobwebs in stock? I need some for my arm."


.Silverpaw and Trenchpaw.

Two silver cats slowly made their way out of the Apprentice den; one was in the lead, allowing his tail to rest on his sister's shoulder while he guided her. Most cats don't realize how much of a nuisance it is to have your sister be blind, but Trenchpaw did; and he didn't care. Silverpaw was the last remaining family to him, and that was all that mattered. The two were making their way to the fresh kill pile, only to sit close to it and under the rare shade of the High Tree.

Twistedpaw jumped slightly when she heard Crowsong's meow and turned to face him. "Of course...Follow me, I'll wrap some cobwebs on your leg." she mewed softly and turned back to her den. She padded up to the entrance and looked back at Crowsong, "Come inside." and she slid back inside.

{Sorry I can only do one or two characters at a time, since I can't really manage a lot on my phone.}

Crowsong followed along behind the Medicine Cat Apprentice, each step dragging; his limp had caused him to slow down. The Tom nodded towards the young She-cat as he crawled down and into the burrow, nose scrunching up to the many different smells that surrounded him; herbs. The Tom sat down close to the entrance, keeping his front left arm in the air as he awaited any further instruction, or help, from Twistedpaw.

Twistedpaw looked back at Crowsong before beginning to rummage through the herb stock to find some cobwebs for the injured Tom. Finally finding some, she grasped a bundle in her jaw and padded back to the Warrior. She set the cobwebs down and looked up at Crowsong, "Stay still." she instructed quietly and began to wrap the sticky material around his wound.

Crowsong nodded in approval to the young She-cat, but he turned away, eyes closed shut and wincing in pain. He slit open one eye to watch as she wrapped the cobwebs around his leg, though, fascinated; fascinated by how everyone says that the Medicine Cat and her Apprentice had it easy, when he knew they didn't. "Twistedpaw?" he meowed, voice slightly scratchy. "Is what others say true? Is this easier than hunting for the scarce prey around here?"

{Yes...yes he is xD *cough*and so is Twisted*cough*}

Twistedpaw stopped wrapping the cobwebs around his leg and stayed silent for a moment. It was kind of a hard question to answer. Sure you didn't have to worry about patrols or hunting or anything of the kind, but some of the things a Medicine Cat sees is harder than any of those other tasks. "Well.." she began, glancing up at Crowsong, "I'd have to say no. I mean, I love being a Medicine Cat Apprentice and all, but sometimes you miss the thrill of the chase during a hunt. Or the wonders of what you'll see during a patrol. Or even the courage during battle. Sure, we can fight and defend ourselves; but it's not the same. Besides, some of the things we see, are some things that you couldn't dream of in a lifetime." she explained, looking down at the Tom's nearly wrapped arm.

Crowsong listened impatiently to the She-cat, bobbing his head now and then as he stared down at his hurt leg; something that would have a permanent scar. "You know, a lot of us often wished that we were Medicine Cats," he laughed, tailing curling at his side. "Hunting for prey that doesn't seem to be there gets hard, and each hunt becomes worse. Prey is steadily becoming unavailable." His gaze saddened for a moment as thoughts of the outcome of lost prey mingled within his mind, but he instantly bobbed his head up, looking at Twistedpaw with alert eyes.

Twistedpaw remained silent as she finally found the sense to finish wrapping up his wound. "Trust me, you wouldn't want to be a Medicine Cat. You can't have or show any of the emotions that only Warriors could feel; love being a main one. We can't fall in love, or at least we're not supposed to. We can't have our own mates, our own families. Nothing. That warm feeling of being loved by someone, deeper than just kinship or friendship, is something that we'll never know." she murmured, taking a step back once she has fully wrapped up Crowsong's leg.

Crowsong watched Twistedpaw, eyelids heavy; he honestly felt bad for the She-cat. No love. No mate. "At times, though, being single and kitless is the best," he replied with a sorrowful voice. "Those are the rules for a reason most likely; I have heard that a She-cat Leader or Deputy can't have kits, but look around you; every Clan has, pretty much."
