Silverstar nodded. "I am announcing my...my mate." She took in a deep breath and climbed up onto High Rock. "Attention Cloudclan!" She yowled. "I have.... Chosen a mate for myself. Jayflight is my mate." She looked down at her Clan, searching for a reaction. She glanced at Jayflight, who was talking to Crookedpaw.

Purring lightly and playing wiry the kits Ivykit had never felt so belonging. So at home. Smirking slightly she pressed her ea to Redkits stomach and giggled as she heard the heartbeat. It was then Silverstar announced her mate. Ivykit gasped. Why Jayflight?

"Well?" The broad muscled apprentice demanded hearing and ignoring Silverstars announcement. "You better have a good explanation behind this!" He hissed, eyes narrowed and neck fur rising.

Leafpaw's eyes widened, Why him?She thought bitterly, Silverstar deserves better... Sighing, she pressed against Crookedpaw, who looked as upset as she was.

Flashkit stopped his playing, and stuck his head out of the nursery. "Him?!" He spat, his eyes blazing with fury. "Can you believe it?" He asked the rest of the kits, "Silverstar chose him."

Smokewhisker had a bad feeling about this. He let out a low emitting growl and watched. He wasn't going to object if she truly loved this tom. So he stayed as silent as ever, with only narrowed eyes. Jayflight had sort of an...evil, look in his eyes and that made Smokewhisker suspicious. He was going to keep a close eye on him.

Silverstar sighed, hearing their reactions. "I love him, and...and he loves me. We're good for each other" She called down. What is wrong with him that they don't like? She wondered sadly.

Pulling away from Leafpaw slightly upset and mad at his mentor he turned around, his eyes blazing. "Am I not allowed to speak to my mentor alone?" He asked, his voice livid and his tone harsh. He needed o speak to his mentor alone.

redkit turned around. "Oh well!" she exclaimed." then she made her green eyes bright. "Can we still play?" she asked.

Jayflight looked at Crookedpaw sighed, then shrugging. "Let's go train." he told his apprentice as he began to walk out of camp, then smirked. "I have a plan Crookedpaw, and you're going to help." he said with a large, evil smile. ((wb))
