WHY HAVE I BEEN GIVEN A STRIKE?
If you have been given a strike, it is essentially a warning to reprimand you for an action that was against our rules. Although this was not enough to have you banned, it counts toward your tally; at 3 strikes, you may be banned from Create A Pride entirely, and possibly including all of the Create A- games, depending on the severity of such action. If you receive a strike, a message will be directed to you, stating the reasoning behind earning this strike. Furthermore, your name will be listed below, with a tally to keep track of how many strikes you have accumulated thus far. After 3 strikes, your name will be moved into the banned (temporary or permanent) section.

Please keep in mind that getting in any trouble within Create A Pride, or really any of the Create A- games, is a very difficult thing to achieve. Thus, if you simply read our rather short list of rules, and follow them, it is too easy to stay out of trouble.

WHY HAVE I BEEN BANNED?
If you have been banned (temporarily or permanently), this either means that you have accumulated a total of 3 strikes, or, you have broken one of our rules worthy of an instant ban. Temporary bans or much less severe, but they serve a greater warning to any member that receives one; in simpler terms, any who receives a temporary ban has been given the opportunity to recover from an action that may have earned another a permanent ban. A temporary ban will last for a specified amount of time, usually established depending on the severity. Any attempt to participate in the game while currently in a temporary ban will earn more time to your current ban or a permanent ban from the Create A- games.

Permanent bans, on the other hand, last for as long as the games shall continue. If you are permanently banned from Create A Pride, you may not, under any circumstance, participate within the game; this includes posting on the main thread, on the fanclub, or any other platform. If you are permanently banned, this could very well transfer into the other Create A- games as well, so beware! Any attempt to participate in the game will be ignored and reported to the CS mods.

Starting Off: If it is your first time posting, you must tell me about your pride. You can describe things like your Pride's name, nature, reputation, territory and lion's personalities are good. These things help us decide on what your first lion, the king/queen will look like! We will quote your post with a picture of your first lion. You can decide on things like the lion's name, age and gender. When making your posts, replace the word 'link' to the appropriate rank in your allegiances with the link to the lion your mod gives you. If you want customized predators, either include them in your starter post or inform your mod of what they are after you've been assigned to a mod.

For players who have been active members of Create A Pride for a year or more, you can create a second Pride. While optional, you still have to take care of both Prides. You are not allowed to trade between your two Prides (i.e. giving one of your Prides prey or herbs or lions from the other Pride). If you are restarting, you may only take five lions from your previous Pride to your new one. If you have two Prides and are restarting one of them, you may either take five lions from the restarted Pride to the new one, or take five lions from the restarted Pride to your other established Pride. You may not do both.

Getting More Lions: Your Pride will start off small and you will have to build up it's population. You have several options for finding lions: patrols, sending your king/queen to the Ancestors, pride adoptions, raffles/event and birthday lions. You will be able to send your king/queen to the Ancestors every week to ask for a new Pride member. The week will start from your post, so if you post on a Tuesday you won't be able to go back to the Ancestors until next Tuesday. You will be able to pick their name, gender, age and rank if applicable. You are allowed to link a specific lion that you want but only every other Ancestor visit.

Patrols: You are able to send up to 6 lions out on a patrol at one time. In one post, you are able to send out 4 patrols in total. There are only a few things that can happen on patrols: you can find prey, which will keep your Pride safe from any attacks for 12 hours; you can chase off a threat, which will also keep your Pride safe for 12 hours; you can find a new lion at the border (however the further along your pride gets the less likely this is to happen), you will usually only find hunters/guards and trainees but you will sometimes find cubs at the border if you have queens available. The bigger your Pride gets, the more patrols your Pride will be able to send out. For every 25 new lions after the first 50, you can add one more patrol.

0-50: 4 patrols
51-75: 5 patrols
76-100: 6 patrols
etc...

Ranks: Trainees, or your Pride's rank equivalent, have to be a minimum of 6 moons before they can start their training. Hunters/guards and shamans, or your Pride's rank equivalent, have to be a minimum of 12 moons. However having lions that take longer to rank up is completely up to you. For a trainee to move up to a hunter/guard, they have to take a final assessment, which you can customize to fit your Pride's customs. Whether they pass or fail will be decided by your mod. You are allowed to switch out the ranks that are normally in Prides with your own custom ones but you must have someone who does the equivalent of what the basic ranks already do. If you use custom ranks that someone already has, make sure they are alright with you using their ranks.

Ranks: When you find your shaman, you will have the option to choose 5 herbs to start off your medical storage. When you send your shaman out to find herbs, you can only find 2 every patrol the shaman takes to find herbs. Once your shaman gets a trainee, you will be able to find 3 on one patrol. You store your herbs in the medicine store and they can be used to heal sick or injured lions.

Mentors/Training: You will be the one to assign a certain mentor to a certain trainee, unless you would like your mod to randomly assign your trainee a mentor. Cubs are not allowed to train in the same post they age up into trainees in. Before your trainee is allowed to become a hunter/guard, they must complete 4 training sessions and they must be at least 12 moons old. Your trainee learns a new 'move' during each training session. You can send your shaman trainee to train with the hunter/guard trainees but it isn't a requirement for them. Trainees cannot patrol, hunt or train in the same post they take their final assessments in. Whether they pass or fail will be determined by your mod.

Aging/Death: You must age your lions up 1 moon every post. If in one post, you had a trainee who was 8 moons, then in the next post you would make that trainee 9 moons. In this game, there are 5 possible ways for mod to kill your lions: being stillborn, old age, being attacked severally by a dangerous animal/another lion, mothers can die having cubs, and not having your injuries treated within 2 posts of them getting injured and/or sick.

Becoming Mates/Having Cubs: Without cubs, your Pride would struggle to thrive. To have two lions become mates, post them going for a walk together and/or one of them asking the other to be their mate. You will have to wait a total of three posts, with two of the posts being the lioness's actual pregnancy while the third post is her kitting post. In the mod's post, they will time skip to the lioness finding out she's expecting cubs then you will have to wait two moons (2 posts). Two moons (2 posts) after your mod replies that the lioness is pregnant, you can now include a note of the lioness starting her kitting, to which your mod will give you the lioness's litter in their replies. If you wish for the lioness to not have her cubs yet, make sure to tell your mod. Also, if you want a pair of lions to have cubs without becoming mates, just state that they tried for cubs. Lioness must wait six moons (6 posts) to try for another litter, while males have a limit of 2 try for cubs per post.

Forbidden Romances: Forbidden romances are romantic relationships with either a shaman, or a lion from another Pride. Lions can form romances with lions from both ally and enemy Prides and can sneak out of camp to meet them. However, if the relationship results in cubs, they will have to find a lion willing enough to cover up as their father. It can be arranged for one or more of the cubs to be given to the parent of the other Pride. It is extremely rare, but some lions may find out that the cubs are forbidden and the parent(s) and/or cubs could be exiled from the Pride.


Seasons: Each season will last one month. After the month ends, a new season will start, going in order from Winter to Fall. When your mod replies to your post, the mod will write what type of weather your Pride has for that day, which will ultimately effect how things go for you that day. Your territory will effect the disasters that occur in your Pride. Deserts are more likely to have droughts, mountains are more likely to have storms, oceans are more likely to have human-made disasters like oil or chemical spills and grasslands are more likely to have storms, flood and/or droughts. Forests with water sources are more likely to have fires or floods, depending on how far the Pride's camp is from their water sources, while forests without water sources are more likely to have fires or droughts.

Winter - During winter, the chances of catching greencough is higher.
If you send the same lion out multiple times in the same post, they
are more likely to catch a cold, which is lead to whitecough and
greencough so be careful. After your lion catches a cold, don't send
them out for 2 posts or their cold will progress to whitecough or
greencough. The sun will start to go down early and it will get colder
once the sun starts to go down. You will also catch less prey and are
less likely to find new lions.

Spring - During spring, kittings will run much smoother and the chances
of the lioness or cubs dying during birth will go down dramatically.
There is also a higher chance of catching more prey than usual. The
chances of catching greencough, whitecough and kittencough will go
down. With all the snow melting, it is very likely that your territory
will start flooding. There will also be more storms that will contribute
to flooding. The odds of finding new lions are very high.

Summer - During summer, you will catch a max of 6 pieces of prey.
During patrols, you are more likely to run into predators, and rogue
lions will most likely start to try and settle on your territory so keep
an eye out. You are still likely to get floods, but there will be more
droughts towards the middle of Summer. The lions in your Pride can get
dehydrated easier during Summer than they would in other seasons.
Your Pride will still receive new lions but not as much as in Spring.

Fall - During fall, it will start to get colder so the amount of prey you will
catch will go down. The sun will start going down earlier and earlier and
this will continue into Winter. Kittings will start to get a little bit harder so
make sure to stock up on kitting herbs like foursplit rhodiola, pasque-flower,
dogbane, banana, lavender fever berry, and red-leaved fig.You will also run
into predators more.

Perfide Militum live in the Jerrato Pass of the Golis mountains, making their dens in the multitude of caves found there. Founded by the trans lioness Saeva after she was kicked out of her father's pride after a failed coup, they have the reputation of being dangerous and cruel.

Saeva rules Perfide Militum with iron claws. Loyalty is demanded of every lion in the pride, and any rule-breakers are harshly punished. AMAB cubs are forced to leave as soon as they're old enough to fend for themselves, unless Saeva sees heir potential in them. To prevent inbreeding, Perfide Militum has two options they will choose from. With their allies, they will trade cubs. With other prides, they will steal cubs.

the pride recently has undergone a complete transformation; for the past several generations, it was run in the most classic lion pride way, with the king being the only one male allowed, aside from the king’s chosen heir. king deya is young, but already lives up to her name’s meaning. she has killed in cold blood before, which is why her birth pride started to turn on her five short moons ago, claiming that she was a monster by the way she would torment her prey before death. rumors began to circle about an attempt to remove her from the pride, and even her littermates threatened to kick her out. she refused to go peacefully. she attacked the current king malik, her own father, and won when she went for his throat. her mother rani raced at her in rage at what she had done, but the queen lioness was petite, no match for her masculine daughter. one by one, her small pride was shrunk, brutally destroyed; the cats who were loyal were spared and helped remove the cats who doubted or tried to fight, such as king deya’s three brothers. Since that day, her 'legacy' has already reached many other prides, who are extremely weary of her. she may be a lioness, but she is feared; she has always been considered a very masculine lioness, with her large size and strength equaling that of her father and most other lions.

All rogues who seek to join the pride are required to compete in the mashindano, a tournament of sorts that is held once every moon. They are paired to a random pride member to battle with, and the tournament is only called off when one lion is too injured to continue. A rogue does not need to win to prove themselves worthy of joining, they simply must put up enough of a fight to impress King Deya.

King - Regardless of gender, the lion or lioness who rules the pride goes by this name. Previously used just for males, the current ruler is a lioness who refused to go by the name Queen, claiming it was a sign of weakness.
King’s Mate - They hold slight power, more than the regular pride members but less than the king and second.
Witch Doctor - Also known as the pride’s healer and spiritual connection to those who have crossed over.
Royal Family - A title in name only, they hunt & patrol like the rest of the pride members, but they are generally treated with more respect than most.
Second - Like a deputy or right-hand, if something were to happen to the King before their cubs were ready to take over ruling the pride, the Second would be appointed the new king. This feline is the King’s most trusted in the pride.
The majority of the pride is separated into Hunters & Fighters, regardless of gender, based on their body type & personal strengths.
Adolescents - These are the young lions & lionesses who are under the age of 2 years, who are still being trained to be either a hunter or fighter. An adolescent may be promoted in rank as early as the age of 1 year 6 months, if their mentor & the king feel they are ready.
Caregivers- These lions typically take on the role of raising the cubs of the pride, whose mothers return to their regular duties as soon as their cubs are 3 months old & can eat solid food.
Cubs - these are the youngest members of the pride, who are under the age of 6 months old and have yet to begin their training

the lioness is the backbone of a pride. tales told to cubs mainly focus on the mighty males that conquered great beasts. but the lions of the court of jengu are inspired on making a strong, female-led pride. of course, each lion has its purpose, and males are expected to work just as hard. however, the court will always be led by a powerful lioness (of the previous queen's litter) that goes through the trials of jengu to prove their strength.

jengu is a river spirit that aids young lionesses and helps them discover their destiny. each trainee must complete their own trial, which is given to them through their dreams. once they successfully complete their trial, the new guard or hunter is awarded with a marking. each marking is unique, and is formed by using the juice of berries that grow near the sacred pool (where the shaman goes to communicate with jengu).

the court lives near cliffs. they use the shade to cool down, and their dens are carved into the side. the caves are just off of a river, which leads to the sacred pool.
