Hollowshade's eyes had followed Twopaw as she bounded off. She looked at Ripplepaw with an amused look. "Hey, I just told her to grab whoever she wanted for the patrol," Hollowshade chuckled. Wasn't her fault that her apprentice decided to wake up sleeping cats. Free will, I suppose!. She looked at Fernbee as she came up, "Hopefully you're up for going out today" she meowed, before turning her attention to Ripplepaw's mentor, flicking her tail kindly. "Morning, Nightmask.". Hollowshade could tell Ripplpaw didn't want to have been woken up, especially by Twopaw, who had been bursting with energy at the moment. "Where do you think we should head to, Fernbee, Nightmask?" She asked her fellow warriors.

Hiddenpaw simply listened quietly to her mentor and Bluesky, watching and listening intently. She smiled at Bluesky when he spoke, and his subtle joke. She noted the herbs Azurestream mentioned, even if she already knew what they were, it was good to be reminded from time to time. She wondered what they were gonna do after Bluesky was taken care of.

Shudderheart hadn't thought much about Saffronfang's tone and enthusiasm, and was already looking around camp to see who was open, though he didn't see many viable options, and didn't feel like intruding on ongoing conversations. He frowned inwardly as he began to turn his attention back to Saffronfang.

Moon awoke, stirring slowly as he arose from his sleep within the rotting log he inhabited. He switched nests every so often, never fully content with one, as he liked exploring and finding new places. He picked himself up, shaking loose feathers and moss from his long coat. He let out a yawn, ambling out, gazing around the miniature clearing where the log he'd been in lay centered in the middle. A light drizzle caused small specks of mud to appear around him. With a grin, he thought about how nice a fish sounded to him this morning. But no, he wasn't picky. Whatever he came across first was just as good. He needed something to start his day.

Sootnose was about to say something flirtatious, perhaps about how he loved the dark, romantic theme the weather gave, but luckily Sweethoney seemed to save him from embarrassing himself. He looked to the she-cat with a visible, toothy smile. He felt his whole body almost light up with anticipation about going out into this weather with the two other felines. The wink from Adderfang however, made him feel warm from the tips of his ears to the tip of his tail. He did his very best to seem unfazed, but it was probably evident from his eyes that he was feeling some sort of way about it. If he didn't have fur, he would have an evident blush. Once the other tom wasn't making eye-contact with him, he cleared his throat, tried to shake off the feelings, and followed the two felines. He tried to be appealing as he grinned from ear to ear, "Sounds like we will have a delightful experience. Gross weather? Southern border? Talk about a dramatic scene." He chuckled and did his best not to seem garrulous. Adderfang was playing the game, and he was playing it very well.

Ryeburr could afford to lose an ear if one of these she-cats decided they had enough of him and clawed one off. He revealed a toothy grin towards Morningsun and almost seemed to wiggle his eyebrows at her. "Well aren't you a tease! The prey will come running to me--my voice is as lovely as a song bird!" His voice was pure sarcasm and playfulness. He then returned his attention to Sagedeer, his characteristic grin still plastered on his handsome face. "Oh... No true bet. The winner will simply be the best warrior." He gave a cat-like wink as though they had just shared a private joke. He was absolutely full of his teasing nature today.

Fernbee dipped her head in greeting towards Hollowshade with an evident smile on her face, "I'm definitely up for a challenge." She trusted her clan-mates to be the team she needed, and she would be the best possible cat for their patrol. She was alert and ready for movement, and when Hollowshade asked her and Nightmask where they thought they should travel. She looked to each of the members of the hunting patrol with a teasing glimmer in her eyes. "Well... This may not be a shared opinion. But I'm feeling like fish, so how about the lake?" She shook out her long, gray pelt. "Or... If you all feel like having squirrel, I believe there are quite a few nests at the border of Fireclan."

Seeing how far Lynxstep had gotten to the entrance when he had called out to him, he felt a bit guilty but nodded his head once. "Yes my den would be perfect," he told his medicine cat, walking him back inside of it. Once the two had settled, he took a deep breath, looking at Lynxstep as he needed to discuss his dreams but being a new leader and hadn't having this happen before he didn't know where to start. "So I've been getting these dreams... they all start the same but they keep getting longer. It's about the water in the lake. It seems over time? That it is going away? Is that even possible? I've never heard of the lake going dry not even in greenleaf."

It'd be fun to go this time and exciting to meet Fireclan! Are they as mean as everyone says they are? I haven't met one yet on patrol or anything which I guess is good," she squirmed a bit as she grew excited before thinking about her mothers question. "I think so? I mean you could ask Stormcaller - he tells me that I am but I don't know. I get most of the things I try to catch but not everytime but I'm able to find things really easy which he tells me that means I'll be a great tracker one day."

Dewpaw had quickly let go of the tail when he had it for only a moment before his mentor had straightened it out, letting out a sigh. He put his head down onto his paws for a moment as he hesitated on leaving the den after his mentor, he wasn't lazy he just didn't enjoy being around others as he just wasn't a social cat. xxxOwlmask almost let out a laugh, he didn't like the rain as much as his apprentice did, though he didn't hate it as much as some other cats of Ashclan. "Glad you like the rain then, even if it might not stay for the day" He mewed, being such a light rain, it being there to stay for the entire day was unlikely, he did hope to fit a training session either now, or with another apprentice, maybe he should talk to the other mentors? "Well I'm glad you're eager, we have a lot of work ahead of us, but you're a strong apprentice, I'm sure you can handle it." Maybe putting so much faith in his apprentice was setting them up for shame and disapointment, but he knew any discouragement would most likely be received worse, not so soon after Houndpaw's injury too. His gaze moved out of the den, maybe he could talk to Hollowshade or Echodawn? The two of them had apprentices of their own and surely they wouldn't have minded having himself and Houndpaw tagging along. "So was there any apprentice in particular you wanted to train with?, I know you need to work on your climbing skills, but any activity involving balance would be a good way to get warmed up"

While she was sure Sandpebble and Lichenpaw would take too long, waiting wasn't something she enjoyed. "I doubt the rain would be too bad" she replied, turning her head towards the other warrior, " and even so, we'll mostly be moving along anyway, not too much time to be bothered by the rain" If they were stopped, however, maybe the rain might become a bigger problem than she anticipated. She flicked her ear, things have been rather uneventful recently, so really the worst they'd encounter would be some stray loner or Ashclan cat.

He crept up beside Dovepaw, opening his mouth as if to speak, but instead opting to remain silent once he saw the she-cat's expression, maybe she wasn't as friendly as Pigeonpaw. Instead, the ginger apprentice padded around his mentor and sat on the opposite side of him, wondering if he should speak, or what they'd be doing today.

xxxLeaping around the woods, Whisper had been awake for most of the latter half of the night, the cats seemed to be slightly less active at that time, so she tended to move more then, being spotted would cause more problems for her. The cats that lived were certainly interesting in her eyes, though wouldn't living in large groups cause more issues? Sure they would have more hunters, but there's also more mouths to feed, and then the possibility of betrayal. It wasn't something she could see herself a part of just yet, though it was an interesting way of life. Climbing up to one of the more bushy trees she watched her surroundings, a small river, a huge moor were both in her field of vision, and she generally saw cats pass through there. Though she must admit, staying up for half a night was tiring, maybe she'll hunt for herself a bit later.

He watched the cat after another, as his eyes looked the cats around him, stopping at Fernbee, when she answered to the Hollowshade's question "Actually we can do both the squirrel tree you were talking about is not that far from the lake, so walking there to catching few squirrels and then going back for fish is not a problem" he meowed to them. He himself didn't really care much about fish, except salmon, but they were rare to find so he didn't really have any hope to find them now.

Adderfang considered himself isolated enough to be ignored, as he was currently tucked away at a corner of the camp, out of sight, out of mind. Or so he so foolishly assumed. After a few moments of observing the rather bleak weather, a sight caught his eye - a white tom with dark stripes - was confidently striding towards him. Initially the lithe black tom thought he was going to pass him right by, as most felines typically did not go go out of their way to interact with him. Which was fine by him, as he preferred his privacy, and even more importantly, enjoyed listening to the bits of information that flowed within a conversation. But alas, that was not the case this morning. The warrior know as Sootnose - though Adderfang knew not much else, as he'd had few interactions with the tom personally - was standing before him, pale eyes locked on him and a confident smirk on his muzzle. The midnight tom immediately felt suspicious. Although he had limited interactions with the tom himself, he knew that Sootnose had a tendency to try and be friendly with everyone. Except, Adderfang was not "everyone" he was probably one of the most inaccessible felines in camp. So why him? The midnight tom could feel his suspicion increase as the white tom stared at him with poorly hidden interest. There is no particular reason apparent as of now, though I''m certain I will find out at some point. Sootnose has a tendency to exaggerate and lie, but he tends to run his muzzle like a river at times. And at this time, he's proven to be quite harmless, though it could be a facade.

Yet still, the warrior could feel unease settling in the pit of his stomach. No cat ever approached him so boldly, let alone observing him like this - brazenly looking him up and down with no fear of catching his eye. But it was too early in the morning to be acting suspicious. Giving the tom a quick once over, Adderfang offered the pale tom a small, sly smile. "Why good morning, Sootnose." Standing up and giving the tom a cordial head dip, the raven tom merely flickered his ears in response to the toms' inquiry. "Well, weather such as this just... complicates things. Makes it hard to see your whiskers in front of your muzzle, let do anything productive. How about yourself? Enjoying the change of weather?" Whiskers twitching, the midnight tom awaited a response, but before Sootnose could open his muzzle to reply Sweethoney bounded up, inquiring about a patrol to the twolegplace. While Adderfang knew he had to be cautious in weather such as this, he knew a patrol would do some good, especially since it did not have to involve hunting. "Good morning to you as well, Sweethoney. I'd be delighted to join you. After all, Sootnose and I were just discussing how this is lovely weather to be out in," the midnight tom said with a wink towards aforementioned tom, taking the opportunity to slip out of his little shelter and out into the light rain. I'll figure out what you want. Two can play this game. Ears flicking back, Adderfang mewed, "The southern border? Hm... that's a bit further than patrols typically go. Is something amiss?"

Twopaw noted Hollowshade's joy when asked - it was as if positive energy in the air was contagious. The molly in question leaped to her paws, mewing an energetic "I would absolutely love to join you! Count me in!" Satisfied with such a positive response after literally having to drag her fellow apprentice out of bed, the energetic apprentice followed her long-furred companion back over to her mentor. Twopaw noted that Nightmask, Ripplepaw's mentor has appeared and begun conversing with Hollowshade. I hope he doesn't whisk Ripplepaw away. I really want to get to know him a bit better. He's either doing his own thing or actively avoiding everyone, and that's no fun!

As the two arrived back over to Hollowshade, Twopaw's ears pricked - she only caught bits and pieces of the conversation, but it sounded as if nothing more than a simple explanation took place. Bouncing over, Twopaw mewed, "Good morning Nightmask!" before glancing about. Since Fernbee, Hollowshade and Nightmask were having a discussion on where the patrol was taking place and her opinion or presence was not really needed, the energetic molly decided to focus her energy on the unsuspecting Ripplepaw. Currently the dark-spotted tabby's muzzle was scrunched up and his piercing yellow eyes were vacant - it appeared he was deep in thought about something or other. She noted he had been pretty angry about being woken up in such a manner, but it looked as if he'd cooled down a bit. Why's he gotta concentrate so hard, though? What's going on between those two ears of his? Bounding over, the multicolored molly stood next to the slightly bigger feline, grinning from ear to ear, even though she was already drenched from whisker to tail tip and, somehow, already coated in dirt. "What's with the face, Ripplepaw? You look like an elder trying to remember something," Twopaw teased, playfully pushing his dark, muscled shoulder with a muddy, cupped paw. "Well, what's on your mind? C'mon, don't leave me wondering - spill it!"

T h e brown-and-white tabby sat in the center of camp, gazing upwards. The rain wasn’t heavy, but Smokepaw’s pelt was already damp. He liked the rain. He liked the cold, too. Until Skyrunner came to fetch him, the apprentice wouldn’t be moving to do anything with himself. He didn’t really see the need to. It wasn’t like he was allowed out of camp alone; he’d just get in trouble with his mentor for wandering off. Still, he knew Skyrunner was never slow to fetch him, so he knew that soon his moment of peace would come to an end.

H o u n d p a w ’ s chest swelled with pride as Owlmask assured her she was strong. When he asked about her peers, the black-and-white tabby was quiet for a moment. Over the last moon, she’d gotten the closest to Hazelpaw out of all of the apprentices...but he couldn’t exactly train with her, being medicine cat apprentice. Still, perhaps it was worth the shot. “Maybe Hazelpaw can come, too?” She asked hopefully, looking at her mentor with wide eyes. “I know he isn’t training to be a warrior, but I bet he’d like to get out of camp for a reason other than gathering herbs and visiting StarClan. And every cat should know how to defend themselves during an emergency, shouldn’t they?”

Tumblebranch shrugged. "That works for me." They said, following Bramblefrost and Wingslash towards Stormcaller. They yawned, still half asleep. Yes, they might have been tired, but now they were awake and hungry. Hunting would be good, so they did hope that Stormcaller would send them hunting rather than on border patrol. "Good morning, Stormcaller." They mumbled in greeting, after Bramblefrost spoke to the deputy.

Echodawn nodded in response to Silverpaw, holding back a chuckle at Silverpaw's reaction to his mention of Minnowpaw. "Okay. Smokepaw would be good to spar with, since he's a bit more experienced than you." He turned to see if he could see Skyrunner anywhere in camp, so that he might ask to train their apprentices together. It looked like they were both out in camp. "Let's go ask then, come on." Echodawn mewed, heading over and flicking his tail for Silverpaw to follow. "Hi Skyrunner, Smokepaw." He greeted. "I was wondering if you might want to train alongside me and Silverpaw today, if you don't have anything planned yet?"

Oakpoppy purred at Minnowpaw's explanation. "I'm glad you're doing well!" She said with joy in her voice. "I always knew you would make a great warrior. And no cat catches everything they try, so don't worry too much about that." She said. "You're growing up so fast! I'm so proud." She purred and then gave the apprentice a few more licks on the head, even if Flowersong was right and the rain would just mess up the grooming. It was more about the action anyway, taking care of the kit. "I'm so excited to see you become a warrior one day. It was so good to see Flowersong get her warrior name too." She purred.

Still waiting for Slatedusk and Dewpaw, Nettlestrike looked over to Pigeonpaw when she asked the question. "Fishing is good, because you can catch fish in any season." The warrior explained. She wasn't so sure about what Pigeonpaw said about not many cats liking to eat fish, she knew that she definitely did, but it didn't matter too much. The skill was the important part. "And they won't get all skinny like mice or squirrels in the leaf-bare. And it's good practice anyway. A warrior shouldn't be afraid to get their paws wet."

"Battle training sounds great." Mallowpaw said with a smile, flexing his claws with anticipation. He was excited to get better at fighting. Maybe one day he could be the strongest cat in the Clan. Then AshClan cats would really have to watch out! He followed after Spiderwhisker quickly, not minding the rain. She was right after all, that warriors needed to be prepared to fight in any weather. "Yeah, I'm ready."

She placed her paw back on the ground once Bluesky had licked the poppy seeds up. The silver she-cat glanced back at Hiddenpaw and smiled warmly, proud of her apprentice. "Thank you for picking out the herbs, Hiddenpaw. You can run along now if you'd like. For whatever you wanted to do," Azurestream gently dismissed her, remembering how she was going to head out of the den if she hadn't stopped her. "I just need you to eat these herbs as well," she told Bluesky and gestured to the ones Hiddenpaw had given to her.

Slatedusk saw that the two others were heading to the camp entrance, and he trotted over. He smiled at Pigeonpaw warmly and gave a dip of his head to Nettlestrike, although he had talked to her earlier. "Are we ready to go?" he asked. He glanced back and saw that Dewpaw was following him, offering him another encouraging smile. Slatedusk turned back to Pigeonpaw and piped up, "Fish is also very healthy for you! That's how I have my sleek coat."

If only they could be quicker, Ripplepaw thought and stifled a yawn. Snapping his mouth back shut, he glared at Twopaw and huffed lightly at her words. "If I'm an elder, then you're a kit," he protested and shrugged the shoulder she shoved. At her insisting, he replied, "Why should I tell you what I'm thinking about?"
