She stuck her tongue out at her sister before giving herself a few self-conscious licks. She hoped no one had noticed the little fight or that she was turning red under her short fur.

Pikestar looked into the eyes of his medicine cat and could see that what she needed to tell him must be of dire importance. Swallowing with worry, he nodded his head before quickly turning his attention to the forming groups in the center of the camp. "Cats of Stoneclan! I have a message." He looked at the curious eyes with his own pair of shining ones. "I am at times too busy to prepare hunting trips and border patrols, so we need a deputy to help us during these times." His eyes focused on Goldenclaw with a glimmer of pride. "I trust Goldenclaw to take the position as deputy, please do listen to any advice and directions he gives you." He dipped his head as a final farewell, "meeting concluded." With that, he looked to Iceblood before leading her into his den for the private conversation.

Jaydapple was quickly becoming overwhelmed with the many cats that were surrounding him--luckily Pikestar stepped in at just the right moment to offer a solution; Goldenclaw as deputy. He sighed with relief and looked to Goldenclaw with a grin. "I do not envy you at all. You are more than welcome to decide which of us will go hunting and which of us will go patrolling." He flicked his tail and sat on his rump to patiently await the choosing process.

Ashbelly had strained to listen to her leader give the new commands, once Pikestar retreated to his den to speak to Iceblood, she looked to Goldenclaw expectantly. She definitely wouldn't bug him, she was sure he had a lot on his shoulders already. "Congratulations, Goldenclaw!" She beamed excitedly, leading the onslaught of praise for the tom.

Lightdawn looked at her group members. She didn’t mind Border Patrol Duty. She wasn’t amazing at hunting but she wasn’t bad. She respected his choice and seemed pleased with the duty she got. She didn’t mind the group she was in. She did notice that Duskmoon was in her group, maybe we can become friends...? She thought. She also thought keeping the territory was safe was more important so she understood why he made more people Patrol. She wanted to keep the group more energetic and optimistic so she said " Who’s ready to patrol?! " in an enthusiastic way to keep everyone going. She hoped everyone was just as excited as her.

If he was less shy he would go and congratulate Goldenclaw, he hoped that the new deputy would be good on his job but surly he would be right? Pikestar was the leader and he had to think a lot for which cat would be made deputy.
But when the words came out of Goldenclaw mouth that he was going into the border patrol instead of hunting he was starting to get unsure, he could use his climbing skills to climb something and supervise the area but that was all he could, he was bad at fighting so if something attacked the group he would be useless.
But no one asked to switch patrols and even if Morningleap wanted to change what he would say? Of corse if he managed to gather courage to do that and manage to speak a single word.
At least Duskmoon is at the same patrol with him,if that is a good or bad things it would depend what will happen after they leave.
Morningleap tried to smile or at least try to appear more lively when Lightdawn tried to cheep up the group,he needed to work for his clan even if the activty was not the thing he wants or likes.

He was early out and catch some prey, dropping some of them to the fresh-kill pile than to the biggest prey toward the nursery to his sister "Good morning Seabrook" he meowed quietly, but enough for the queen to hear him "I was out and had a very good catch so I thought you could want some, here this could be big enough for you and your kits" he meowed to her dropping the prey down.

She was laying at her nest not sleeping, but just keeping her eyes shut and relaxing, her ears flicked as she listened to the voices coming outside of the nursery, recognizing her brother's nearing scent. She opened her eyes to look toward the tom as he started to speak "you sure had great catches Lockripple, almost feel bad to eat that good-sized prey" she purred to him, standing up to sit "Thank you, this sure is big enough for us" she meowed to him with a smile.

He looked over to the leader mentioned who the new deputy could be, he did know this decision could be done any time soon, but he was not sure if Goldenclaw was good to choose to the role, he seemed little unmatured to his eyes. Thought only time could tell which kind of a deputy he could be, sighing he made a small nod to the Goldenclaw as he made the patrols, even if he did like hunting more, he didn't mind about going for a border patrol either.

Narrowing his ears over to the two upcoming voices from the two siblings Acornpaw and Featherpaw, making his paws to cover his ears for all that giggling he could hear all the way to the warrior's den 'seriously, why the younger cats are always so loud in mornings?' he thought himself sighing.

She blinked her eyes "warriors? Could warrior get their own beddings as they're not elders and still can?? I don't really mind doing that, but it's just kind of weird to ask something like that for another warrior" she meowed to him. She then nodded to her mentor "sure ambush battle training sounds good to me, will we do some hunting too? maybe when we go back to the training?" she asked art him.

Leopardstep looked up at Goldenclaw- she didn't like the tom much, but that didn't matter much now that they had the deputy rank. She just had to listen to what they said. At least they didn't choose her for the patrolling party- she never liked when her plans were ruined by any cat. As long as she got out of the camp she would be fine, but if she planned to hunt, that was very well what she was going to do.

She shook her head- there was nothing she could do about it now. She just had to get used to Goldenclaw, and maybe the two cats would eventually be on better footing with one another.

Palefrost woke up a lot later than everyone else. She looked around and facepalmed from her sleeping schedule. " I need to wake up earlier.. Palefrost muttered. She walked out the den and looked at the new Deputy. She felt happy for them. She walked in and asked " What’s goin on over here? " She examined the area and noticed they were going hunting / patrolling and she totally missed out on it! She noticed that some cats weren’t sure if they could do it so she tried to motivate them to the bright side. " Hey, even if you aren’t good at something this is your chance to get better. "

" Palefrost is right! " She meowed, " Even if we aren’t good at this duty, it’s our chance to get better at what we need to improve! " She added. " He was chosen for a reason, and, I know we can do it! " She knew some people didn’t like Goldenclaw, but respect his choices so she was trying to motivate them. She wasn’t the type to hate or approve hate on others whenever she sees hate on a friend or someone she approves, she tries to back them up. She didn’t really think hate is necessary. Especially if someone didn’t give them a chance or if they barely got to now them.
