let's start with the basics. this is damon porter keller, an eighteen year
old living on the south side but now attending st. jude's academy after
being offered a full scholarship. back at his school, he started on both
the baseball and basketball teams. his grades weren't stellar, but he
sometimes tried. what takes up most of his free time is not school or
extracurriculars- rather, he's the leader of a gang, the vipers. he has
certainly assisted in making the gang quite notorious on all sides of the
town. damon himself is known for engaging ion drag races, bar fights,
vandalizing, and the works. the gang has become a rather intimidating
and powerful force, often partaking in similar activities or even trying
& succeeding to manipulate and control some big whigs around town.
he's poured much of his time and energy into this group of rag-tag south
siders, making it less of a bunch of troublemakers and more of a family.
and being the leader of that, he would defend any of his south side crew
to the death, if it came to that. he is avidly proud of his place in that
side of town, and will make it known. it was not his choice to attend this
school, but when st. jude's offered a scholarship to a south sider as a sign
of good will, they chose him to hopefully have a rehabilitation case on
their hands (we'll see how that goes), and his father forced him to go in
hopes of letting him create a better life, whether damon likes it or not.
trust me, he doesn't want to be here any more than the upper east siders.
he's a well-known name in new york city and a familiar face, but one might
be surprised at how little they actually know about damon.
there's always more to the story, and that's the case with this "south sider."

i. he was promised he could continue his baseball and basketball career at st. jude's, much to the dismay of the current team members. he almost expects a revolt
ii. damon wants to die young. sounds weird, but he doesn't want to end up getting to an age where the only things that bring him joy are his memories.
iii. is actually pretty familiar with a lot of upper east siders. the women won't easily admit they've gone to bed with him, and the guys won't easily admit that they've partied with him... but we all know what really happened.
iv. he plans to make a hobby of pushing the buttons of his classmates.
v. he's definitely brought more violence and power to the vipers, but also engages them in some community outreach. he has the gang members donate old clothes to charity and orphanages.
vi. he has a younger sister named ally, but things are messed up and she does not live with his family. he tries to visit her frequently- she lives just a few hours away.
vii. damon was in an on-and-off relationship with a south sider for about five years. last year, she was murdered by a rival gang.
viii. he's not exactly open to talking about it.
ix. he and his parents are consistently locked in some fight. he actually lives in an broken-down rv outside of their house to help avoid some fighting.

a girl clouded in mystery, roxy didn't just transfer from across
state. having spent the majority of her life over the atlantic in
the uk, it came as a surprise to the majority of her friends and
family when she announced she would be moving to the concrete
jungle of new york. many put her move down to a need for a
change in scenery, few jested she was running away from her
problems - the brunette never elaborated on either theory.

known in her past for being the life of the party, roxy is
supposedly attempting to turn over a new leaf - though some of her
old traits remain. mischievous and good humoured, she can't help
but look for trouble. some might call her a little crazy. the girl has
little care for titles or others opinions as she has been in the public
eye for the majority of her life so far.daughter to a famed magazine
editor and an up and coming designer she has been taught that to be
the centre of attention isn't necessarily something to be frowned on.
though she's a bit of a wild child, the brunette is a loyal friend, caring
and impulsive, she's probably better on your side than against you.

she can be extremely stubborn, which has led to a few spats with the
press whilst she settled in to the city, but she'd hardly call that
interesting. now seeking some adventure, she's ready to start at
constance and meet her new classmates.

(i.) a performer in every sense of the word, she has a wonderful voice
but singing isn't her passion (ii.) her mother often used roxy as a muse,
asking her to model her newest designs - other designers saw potential
in her and scouted her to model for them (iii.) loves baking and cooking
more than anything, though sometimes the final result is like something
out of 'nailed it' (iv.) lives on her own in a swanky apartment on the upper
east side - it can get pretty lonely (v.) suffered a great loss when she was
young, which influenced her to live the way she does today (vi.) has only
ever been in one relationship - she doesn't talk about it and would prefer
that you don't either (vii.) loves to tease but often doesn't follow through
with her flirtation, if there's one thing she holds sacred, it's intimacy (viii.)
has been known to dye one strand of her hair when she's marking an
occasion (ix.) has been known to suffer quite badly with anxiety attacks
when she feels like she's trapped - only those closest to her can calm her
down from such attacks.
