i can touch gary, feed him, play with him, he'll eat and then cry for something. he can't cry it out as it keeps them awake, and if I keep tending to him, he'll get worse. if I think i want to sleep more, I don't want him in bed anymore because he'll be in my face. (even paws in face)

I had a similar problem with a night-crier.
I solved the issue with a Feliway plug-in (sort of a feline facial hormone diffuser). It may be worth looking into but idk if it will help.

well, it's that he will hear me stirring. so then he yells for me. even if i hold him, let him. when I stop he still yells. he talks as we walk to his food dish, he'll eat and then talk some more.
