just trying something....

Postby JK341 » Fri May 01, 2020 8:23 am

thought i would try something different with the snooter on front facing doggo headshots. ^^

Its really funny how the mind works though, throughout the entire process.

Sketch phase: "oh gosh this looks horrid why am i doing this?"
Lining: "maybe it isnt quite as bad but it still looks a bit crummy"
Coloring: "huh, i'm actually starting to like this"
Shading: "heck yeah i love this!" xD

This is really cute!
My mind goes on a roller coaster when I draw as well, haha. Mine is a little different from yours, though.
Sketch phase: "Wow this is messy, but I'll scribble some more over here."
Lining: "No, that's wrong. Why is the head inside the neck? AdD MOrE FuR FLUfF!"
Coloring: "I can't wait for the next step.."
Shading: "No, this color is wrong. What about pink? No. Ooh it looks cool with multiply :3"
Lighting: "COLORS!!"
Final layer(s): "Yesss, make it all glossy and realistic UwU"

Aww man, this is too cute! :,0c
It seems we have very similar art processes, I always find shading helps pull everything together! <3

Aww so adorable I love how they turned out!! <3

My process is an absolute disaster:
Sketch: "I like this".
Lineart: :Lion king Scar voice: "Run away and never return."
Flat coloring: "Nope nope and another nope"
Shading: "Much better" xD
