Viperclan bases its name off of its land, prey, and predators: snakes. Snakes are everywhere in this vast forest that Viperclan has decided to call home, and often kill off any wandering or stranded cats that are not paying attention to their surroundings; seventy-five percent of the snake species here are very venomous. Cats here are more built for agility than hunting due to these predators, and the ones that are great at hunting kill off the snakes for food before they kill them. This and much more threatens the Clan, though, as they depend on one another for the struggling survival.

Viperclan's territory may be vast, but it comes at a price; the price of less prey. Prey is quite often scarce due to the amount of other predators that go after it, often crossing over and onto Viperclan territory to complete a hunt. Thick foliage covers the main camp, with each den being an underground burrow. A small stream trickles through the middle of the Clan, separating the main camp grounds from the training area, and leading down to the Moon Pool where the Medicine Cat brings her Apprentice to appoint them as the new Medicine Cat Apprentice/Medicine Cat. The High Tree is located right next to the stream, and is a large, healthy Red Maple; one hard to find within the areas of Viperclan, and is sacred. The main prey, if found, are small birds, rodents, and snakes; snakes are the most plentiful and abundant source of food.
